The Archers - It's not about the money, money, money, think about Jill's honey, honey, honey, Justin wants to farm by satnav, forget about the prize tag.

Will The Dopeys have buggered off by the end of this thread?
Will Tom finally reach home, after weeks of trekking through the tundra?

I was thinking 'great minds' r4!

GypsyFloss · 10/12/2014 12:03

Far too much Lilymaid!

R4 · 10/12/2014 12:03

OK, BYOS, I'm happy to go with that.Grin

BringYourOwnSnowman · 10/12/2014 12:03

People are probably listening to the podcast more than once so they can figure out who is actually speaking.

In the case of Tony's accident there's no way you could only listen once and figure anything out

ppeatfruit · 10/12/2014 17:17

Lilian Gish Xmas Grin Are you still in Fr. ? Things are better on the dried fruit front, also they almost know what Parsnips are!!

I'm not giving up on TA i'm happyish ATM.

I noticed that knob's non baby was mentioned and has been forgotten completely (ready for a denouement doubtless), Jess'll turn upon Christmas Eve with the baby in a blanket, both of them crying piteously.

Bluestocking · 10/12/2014 17:43

Perhaps Will and Ed will have a rare moment of unity and decide to frag Justin, Charlie and the Knobber. We can only hope.

ZeroSomeGameThingy · 10/12/2014 17:53

No - I dare not Google that verb ...

unitarian · 10/12/2014 17:57

I listen to the podcast more often than I used to. It doesn't buffer as badly as the live version does and we have no other way of listening to the radio. There's no signal so we rely on very poor broadband.

Have I missed something though? Has Ed been invited to the shoot as a guest, not a beater? If so, it's no wonder that Will is so much more bitter than usual.
I suggested several threads ago, before the last shoot, that Will might lose his tied cottage because of the pheasant fiasco. I think Ed's on the way up and Will's fortunes are in decline.

ZeroSomeGameThingy · 10/12/2014 19:07

Utterly bloody ridiculous! Of course they wouldn't be swanning off to Prague the day before Ruairi comes back.

And Alice has had a decade's worth of days off.Xmas Angry

BringYourOwnSnowman · 10/12/2014 19:15

More annual leave for Alice. Bullshit

No mention of sa grandkids in the excitement over Xmas. Bullshit

Jim - well done for calling out David as being a weaselly coward running away from a fight!

Redundancies at home farm. Some real world economics. What they are suggesting couldn't possibly go ahead for long term

And nice to know usha is still alive but not able to talk.

David sounds lacklustre. Is the actor fed up?

Nice little digs at David and isn't jim cunning! But please tell me Jenny isn't going to suggest Alice.

GypsyFloss · 10/12/2014 19:16

What a busy episode.

CuttedUpPear · 10/12/2014 19:30

Who the jeff is Andy?
Who the jeff is Jeff, for that matter.

Someone tell SO'C that sacking silent characters doesn't save any money.

BringYourOwnSnowman · 10/12/2014 19:46

And doesn't engage the listeners as we aren't attached to them!!

ZeroSomeGameThingy · 10/12/2014 19:49

Would have been good to hear from Maurice during Tony's hospitalisation and Tom's return.

TopazRocks · 10/12/2014 19:59

And why can't JD drop in on the long lost Debbie in Hungary while she is out Prague way? - tis only a short distance by train or plane. But is the trip now off anyway? Now that Brine is 'poor' perhaps. Hmm

I did think she mentioned one of the SA GC last week when she was talking to Adam about the pending visit. Did I just dream that? No wonder Adam in a bad mood - Kate is coming back! I hope Ian gives him a nice meal and some TLC. it must be awful being Adam these days Grin.

I find it quite okay just now. Not brilliant but I am interested enough. Though some of the SLs are quite complex, partly due to so many characters sounding similar and so many stories.

R4 · 10/12/2014 20:01

That's at least twice where someone has had a go at David and he has trotted out the "farm isn't viable with a road through it" line. I thought that the deciding factor in their ruminations was the move to be closer to HeatherPet.Confused

How old is Adam supposed to be? A teenager would blush at that outburst.

Bluestocking · 10/12/2014 20:05

I don't think the trip's off, Topaz - JD was maundering on to Lynda in the shop about buying Czech biscuits for Kate.
I did enjoy Jim sticking it to David!

PseudoBadger · 10/12/2014 20:17

Title - "The Archers - we are forced to consider the Armageddon solution"?

OP posts:
GypsyFloss · 10/12/2014 20:54

I thought JennyD was wittering about biscuits before Brine declared them newly poor.

Indeed r4 , I have been asking the same question.

Love the title Pseudo!

BringYourOwnSnowman · 10/12/2014 21:00

It's a bit late to cancel the trip without losing money though surely?

GypsyFloss · 10/12/2014 21:06

Nancy is back and I reckon she's rather spot on.

TheOneWiththeNicestSmile · 10/12/2014 21:15

Thanks, Gypsy Flowers

I so want Nigel to emerge from the shower...

GypsyFloss · 10/12/2014 21:20

Absolutely! I did suggest a Dallas reinvention moment earlier in a thread...can't remember for who though! If Justin Elliott does get shot we could have " Who shot JE? / I shot JE" tote bags a la my childhood Smile

BringYourOwnSnowman · 10/12/2014 21:27

I've never read nancy before but spot on! Hope soc reads her

minklundy · 10/12/2014 22:33

The Archers: shooting pains (here's hoping), growing pains, phantom pains, separation anxiety and herbal tease.
