For me, that describes Ed. Some strange people think that it describes Jazzer.
Does it matter what they look like? We know and love their voices (except you Pip)

No it doesn't work for me but thanks for trying Gipsy

You and I Bluestocking I don't really mind reading the thread before hearing an ep. because we all hear things differently and it's an interesting exercise IFYSWIM Grin

GypsyFloss · 19/07/2014 18:07

Sometimes I just read the thread and then if it sounds worth it I listen.

GypsyFloss · 19/07/2014 18:08

That's a shame ppeatfruit ...are you one of the in France listeners?

Shallishanti · 19/07/2014 20:19

the link worked for me many thanks GF

Pinkrose1 · 19/07/2014 20:19

Knob was sailing very close to the wind with the not inviting parents stunt. Could so easily have gone tits up if Hellin had kept Penelope Keith's number and called herself.

As for Elizabeth and Roy! Give it up Roy, you are pathetic

BuildYourOwnSnowman · 19/07/2014 21:54

But were they staying in grey gables?

If it was my parents I would hav called to make sure they had arrived ok. And surely it just takes ursula calling again for it to all come out

BuildYourOwnSnowman · 19/07/2014 21:56

Has anyone moved into Jill's house now she's moved out?

ZeroSomeGameThingy · 19/07/2014 22:06

Rob would have told his mother never to call his house phone again so as not to upset Helen. And he'll have told Helen that his parents don't want to hear from her... (At least, that's what I'd do - but I don't have a cunning mind.)

The last we heard (couple of weeks ago) Jill was still very gradually moving bits and pieces out. Probably because the SWs want to keep the house on ice until they launch a new tenant story. Or until Pip returns....

PseudoBadger · 20/07/2014 06:43

Just caught up. Well played Titchy, well played.

Rob just described Henry's future with a domineering father and a subjugated mother.

AllMimsyWereTheBorogoves · 20/07/2014 12:55

I keep thinking of Mr Murdstone and poor little Dora and David Copperfield. Does Rob have a horrible sister who could come to live with them and keep house?

StandsOnGoldenSands · 20/07/2014 15:12

Listened to the film earlier.

Roy is being well pushy. 'I know you want me' is not usually a winning strategy with the ladies, Roy, and it's all going very Lady Chatterley.

I don't understand what Rob is up to with the failed dinner party. Is it just to win sympathy about his howwible upbringing?

StandsOnGoldenSands · 20/07/2014 15:14

Oh and it was cringeworthy when Roy was trying to have a boast about Brenda to the radio researcher and she was all like 'err yeah whatever'. Shot down in flames in front of Lizzie, cringe cringe.

JohnFarleysRuskin · 20/07/2014 15:28

I can't help but find the way Roy says 'Elizabeth' really creepy!

ZeroSomeGameThingy · 20/07/2014 15:29

He's scheming to demonstrate that he is 110% committed to the Bridge Farm clan with no loyalties to anyone else.

Poor me, I'm all alone. I need lots of love and wifework cosseting and preferably number one position when the dosh and property is divvied up... Go on - you know you want to. Who else you gonna leave it to? Tom's buggered off I saw to that. My darling Helen is a flake who was dragging the shop down. I like bulls. How will you survive unless I take everything over? (Of course I'm not going to drop Henry into the slurry pit.)

Mimsy I always suspect he has a secret child that he's securing someone else's inheritance for - "Portrait of a Lady" stylee.

StandsOnGoldenSands · 20/07/2014 15:33

Mmm yes I see what you mean. Why has nobody asked about the progress of the divorce, or has that been addressed and I missed it in my post-RoyBeth flounce?

PetulaGordino · 20/07/2014 15:38

NOpe still no one has mentioned the fact that he is both engaged and married at the same time

ppeatfruit · 20/07/2014 15:44

If i were pat and tony I would've stayed to support Hellin and eat her food that she'd busted a gut to organise,I thought that was mean to leave her.

PetulaGordino · 20/07/2014 15:48

Ppeat I agree but in my head Helen was pleading with her eyes for them to go because she knew Rob was angry or pretending to be and didn't want them to stay

ZeroSomeGameThingy · 20/07/2014 15:50

And of course if he produced nice parents they might form an alliance with Helen. Which would never do. For she shalt have no other god but he...

I dunno. I read on the relationship threads here that people do this sort of thing just to keep the victim in a permanent state of insecurity and confusion. Just writing it makes me want to seek him out and give him to Arby and Jessica to play with.

ZeroSomeGameThingy · 20/07/2014 15:55

Rob did the turning his back and walking away thing with Jess at the end of their party, leaving her crying on the floor with a house full of uneaten food. This time he tweaked it - but still came out on top.

Angry
StandsOnGoldenSands · 20/07/2014 15:58

I was wondering when Helen was going to wheel out the salmon, I have to admit...

PseudoBadger · 20/07/2014 16:16

Stands - by doing this he's also ensured that Helen will never mention his parents again. Or so he thinks. He has no idea of what a pain in the arse she can be!

ZeroSomeGameThingy · 20/07/2014 19:10

Oh Roy...

So now Elizabeth has to ask him before she invites people to LL?

He's going to be unbearable.

BuildYourOwnSnowman · 20/07/2014 19:12

'Chuck them, they've served their purpose' - don't think she's talking about the flowers....

Don't know why she was being such a bitch about the time off

Definitely heel less kitten heels when she was clumping off....
