i love the look of them but im so flat footed that the footbed really aches my soles.

maxybrown · 15/06/2010 20:14

I can't do anything nice and summery anymore haven't found anything yet that will take my insoles without pushing my foot that high up that my foot just falls out, really irritating. Only crocs at the minute will take them.

evening all,

hope your all well.

nicola did u have a nice holiday?

right ladies need some advice we are organising a fundraising event for our tots group as we have no funds need insurance, new toys ect. we are hoping to have a raffle/auction on the night who do you think i could conact to donate reasonable prizes?

I know the little shops in the village will donate but need big prizes lol.

nicolamumof3 · 15/06/2010 20:18

At nursery they ask parents to donate 'services' such as babysitting or gardening to raffle also lots of mums make things arts and crafs. Big prizes do you have local hairdressers or supermarket you could appraoch? for vouchers etc?

5inthebackofthenet · 15/06/2010 20:56

I am useless at fundraising stuff Sal.

I am looking or a trike for DS3, but I'm bing as picky as with prams. I want a handle bar so I can use two hands. Smart trikes look good so far, but pricey!

nicolamumof3 · 15/06/2010 21:02

i think smart trikes are worth the extra for the steering if you are going to use it alot. we had a cheapy for tate and it was crap tbh. we use it a bit still now and its fine but a bugger to steer. We haven't been good with getting the boys on bikes bit guilty of that i must admit. i spose cos i am on my own alot with them at w/ends bikes and three boys tricky!!

5inthebackofthenet · 15/06/2010 21:09

Yeah, I doubt I'd us it much, so would just want a 2nd hand one really.

sal1309 · 15/06/2010 21:18

cheers for that nicola something to look into.

5in we had a little tikes trike for dd but it was hard to try and steer.

5inthebackofthenet · 15/06/2010 21:25

We had trikes for the other two, but with one handle, really hard. Mayb I shouldn't even bother

If you ask places like Tesco/Asda Sal, they might donate something for your fund raiser.

basl · 15/06/2010 23:10

Evening ladies, nice weather here today and we are the proud owners of a paddling pool and it is a nightmare to fill. We have the kids slide going into it and daniel starting to use his hand slighlty so yeah!!

Flyme those flip flops are my kind of thing but i do agree with a slightly more support pair. I love flip flops but i walk alot so need some to support.

Sal any restaurants near by that would donate a bogoff [ buy one get one free] or a hotel over night stay etc. Garden centre ?

5in i was just about to sell our smart trike as daniel been in it twice and hated it until today. We went for a walk round the block i call it. I live in a scheme and it is like concrete jungle but it is like a maze and we go for walks round the block and let Olivia be the leader and she picks the way. Well today Olivia at grandads for a change and Daniel really getting a bit put out at not getting so off we went for out walk and put him in the trike and he loved it today. He was the leader and he was screaching "is way mummy" and pointing well the little monkey new the way to the local co-op and was crying because i kept avoiding that way. So i gave in and let him direct me and it was because he wanted to go across the "beep beep" the traffic lights. He does shock me sometimes and maybe should not worry if he runs off again as he knows his road safety only kidding.

Nicola what are you doing pushchair wise now. Did you sell your quest?

BexieID · 15/06/2010 23:17

Why don't I ever find anything this interesting in my chocolate packs?

basl · 15/06/2010 23:25

i can't believe that. It looks so ehh well em so life like. If it was the workers they are very talented. Bexie your so good at finding these stories.

BexieID · 15/06/2010 23:43

Someone posted it in chat.

BexieID · 15/06/2010 23:47

Cadburys do say on pack, may contain nuts

basl · 16/06/2010 06:21

omg been up all night and mean all night. Three screamers. Olivia, Danile ad dh. God knows what is in the water last night but went kind of like "mummy wahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh mummy mummy mummy wahhhhhhhhhhhhhh i want my mummy x all night. Oliva doing acobats in my bed and then telling me she was starving at 3am and crying because of it. So dh lost it. Jumped out of bed and kicked a glass which smashed everywhere. Then finally after about five trips down stairs and in and out of my bed everyone a sleep by 5.30 but i forgot i am going jogging and the alarm just went off and i snoozed it only once because the second time my dh unplucked it by yanking it out the wall.
So lets hope this little jog now will lift my mood la la la la la. i think i am still a sleep and it is going to fun and games when i return. Watch this space.
Bexie love the chocolate animal part piece just what the doctor ordered this moning a big lol after that train wreck of a night. xx

FlyMeToDunoon · 16/06/2010 07:28

Back on soon off to sort out those going to school.

carrielou2007 · 16/06/2010 07:36

Morning, hope you are ok basl, they use sleep deprivation as a form of torture in the forces, we mums are amazing with what we have to cope with! Maybe a nice nearly new urban would help

Hope the swift comes today when I am here or I am defo driving up to Bristol tomorrow to collect it from the depo.

5inthe I missed your potential good sale on p and t - don't tell dh you intend to sell on just say you bought it to use it and watch his face when you tell him how much you make

Nice here again today though windy, first lot of washing won't be long until it has dried which is good I have another load ready and another already in the machine.

Chocolate willies?? Not sure I could put my lips around it

carrielou2007 · 16/06/2010 07:38

OP posts:
basl · 16/06/2010 07:45

I am back and showered and we walked today i was like a zombie. Everyone still a sleep thank goodness. I have had some weetabix and coffee and love the peace and quite but my eyes are crossing over.

Carrie i almost forgot. I have been having some really weird dreams lately and whilst in and out of light snooze at 5.30 i dreamt about the mb swift. Honestly i really did but it was like a bugaboo thingy with the little wheels but i asked a lady could i borrow it to try my front door. It was perfect but it was like a sort of oh i can't even describe it without sounding loony. But it fits so it will be perfect for you

basl · 16/06/2010 07:48

i would love to think the urban would fit carrie but i don't think it is any smaller than the baby jogger. Wished i could see one. Maybe if i think about the urban long enough tonight i will dream about it and see if it will fit

5inthebackofthenet · 16/06/2010 08:00

Gosh Basl, what a nightmare of a night! Hop you're feeling better soon.

I've had to take my wedding rings off they're now too big on my thinning fingers . I'll have to get them resized but not yet as still losing weight. I used to have such thin fingers when I was younger, took M in ring, and when I put loads of weight on, DH got them made bigger for me. Now they'll have to be made smaller, can they make rings smaller?

basl · 16/06/2010 08:11

yes they can 5in my friend has had that done. I am having a lovely little surf of the net while they all sleep still I should have gone back to bed but i love this little time to my self to surf. How is that.

5in i was going to ask about your diet. Take it you are back well and truly on track good for you ma girl.

nicolamumof3 · 16/06/2010 08:13

wow 5in you are doing so well such an inspiration. i put all the weight back on that i lost on my hols

basl what a bloody nightmare night!

maxy got your mail will do that later fo ryou

5inthebackofthenet · 16/06/2010 08:14

Yes back on track again . Going to the dreaded weigh in this morning, which means plenty of trips to the loo before and no eating until I've been. Need to be as light as possible
