5inthebed · 06/06/2010 20:23

Can you give him a little poke to wake him up? . Whats his name?

Divatheshopaholic · 06/06/2010 20:33

Hi Sal, How is baby? growing fast i guess
Maxy, what is it you got there?
Not puppy,kitten,hamster,rabbit,tortoise, guniea pig,rat, gerbil
Is it fury?
If its not rabbit, does that mean its not bunny?

sal1309 · 06/06/2010 20:52

hi diva yes dd2 is growing fast she is 11 weeks today cant believe how quick its gone

god im so bored dh has fell asleep im shattered and really need to sleep but dont want to go sleep since he is incase i dont wake up for keiras last bottle

basl · 06/06/2010 20:56

Is it a bird?

Hi Diva i like when you talk about shopping .

Bexie the travel lodge sounds perfect. I love the fact it has a carvery.

children still giggling and laughing and refuse to go to sleep. They are all on holiday till Wed due to some teachers training so i think i will let them stay again tomorrow night. My sisters hubby was positively ecstatic at having a day and night free of kids but i so appreciated my night free of kids so fairs fair really.

Mmmmm is it a pet spider? oh or a pig?

maxybrown · 06/06/2010 21:29

ooh now then a pig would be our first choice, but another year maybe

He is called Ernie. I have a pic of him but little bit blurred because he is a bit frightened still at the minute so no flash. he is 7 weeks old tomorrow and he looks much much cuter in RL and on a clearer pic! hope this works!

Divatheshopaholic · 06/06/2010 21:31

I cant think any other pet, i must be least pet person.
Hi Basl, saying shopping, i got to go primark asap, as dhs niece bought girls shorts for 2.50. And it looked good,i think im ideal shopper, i like browsing online and order to home, rather than shop around. If i shopped around as i do normally i will be skinny fabby mummy, i always sat on my bum and large size.

5inthebed · 06/06/2010 21:37

I want one! He is so so cute! Would never have guessed hedgehog. How did you get him? He is very cute

maxybrown · 06/06/2010 21:39

I would have been amazed if any of you guessed correctly!

There is a breeder up the road from us. His a Pygmy hedgehog. So cute. Bit scared at the minute though!

5inthebed · 06/06/2010 21:43

Well he is gorgeous. What do you keep him in? Does he have a hutch like a rabbit/guinea pig?

basl · 06/06/2010 21:45

Awwwww Ernie is a wee smasher. How on earth do you look after a hedgehog??? What does James think about him?

Diva shorts for £2.50 sounds like a very good bargain. I think i will be paying them a visit. I don't want to spend a fortune on kids holiday clothes in oct as they will not get the wear after the holiday iykwm

5inthebed · 06/06/2010 21:48

Basl, Tesco had some a lovely twin pack of boys shorts for £5. One grey and other navy. Sort of tracksuit material. I've bought DS3 some for our holiday.

Divatheshopaholic · 06/06/2010 21:50

Wow, Ernie looks tiny I must meet Ernie next time we meet. I never seen hedgehog in RL, how sad is that
Basl, 2.50 shorts looked really good, combaty with 5pockets and zip and fly. I was impressed. We went away for 9 days and i came two bag full of washing back.Kids get covered in sand and cream at the each every day.

maxybrown · 06/06/2010 21:53

He will have a biggish plastic "hut" as they can have the top off as can't climb up the sides of those and also they can't have bars as they like to climb and can break their little legs if they get stuck and fall

He eats cat biscuits and likes mince meat, egg, meal worms etc. When he is 12 weeks old he can have a wheel in his cage.

James loves him, wants to hold him all of the time!!!

basl · 06/06/2010 21:56

5in i will def have a look at tesco. I always find it hard when i have a holiday later on in the year. I like new clothes to take but if i spent too much for Oct then they will not fit for the following summer.

Diva yes even at the bbq i was at Daniel was like a coal miner by the end of it. My H bought him a white linen shirt and he was allowed to play with the soil in their garden and encouraged to find hidden stones by the girls sister who had the bbq so he was covered in it. He was crying when he was going away and wiping his face so the dirt was dripping of his face. lol he had a ball.

basl · 06/06/2010 21:58

is he prickly?? silly question but how can you hold him

You have mail maxy

maxybrown · 06/06/2010 22:02

he is, but they only prickle when they are frightened so they prickle out, when they are relaxed he is quite easy to hold, but they like to bury themsleves in you

sal1309 · 06/06/2010 22:03

aww maxy he is lovely.

i got my dd1 2 pairs of shorts for £4 from matalan and they are quite nice

maxybrown · 06/06/2010 22:54

Shorts and trousers are a real pain for James, he really needs the drawstring that works and so very hard to find. He is struggling to keep the baby boden shorts up at the minute, even with the drawstring, then button adjusters inside end uo with too much bulk

OP posts:
horsemadgal · 06/06/2010 23:32

Awwww at the wee hedgehog. I didn't know they could be kept as pets.

BexieID · 06/06/2010 23:51

Does Ernie have a wee friend called Bert?

maxybrown · 07/06/2010 07:38

not yet Bexie!!! He will have to though at some point

Morning everyone. Kids not back at school until tomorrow. Taking them all for new shoes today, these boys keep having growth spurts, it's just not on! I think I'll just get DS3 some Clarkes Doodles though. The other two never had them as DH Insisted they were too girly. Well I say tough this time. I've seen some Thomas ones he can have

Might have sold my Micralite, but wibbling. DH said I could get another one at winter time if it means that much though, so we shall see. DS3 verymuch a walker, and very good at it as well, doesn't really run off. Might invest in a littleife backpack instead.

maxybrown · 07/06/2010 08:51

Morning all!

Yes sell it 5in and get another if needbe. James is a brilliant walker, has never run off although, he prefers to walk by himself - he knows it is not worth arguing over for too long Pushchair for us now is really for longer journeys, and of course I don't drive, but he is very good in general really.

Well, my son is still bed, DH off to work, my parents away - wahhhhhhhhh! Ha ha ha. It just feels weird as talk to mum everday and have never really had this relationship with her as I moved out of home at 17 then away to Devon when I was 19, so it has been lovely being close with her.......sorry waffling.
