oh basl that is so nice. Everyone has had a fab day then your end thats great! how old is your nephew think he's about same age as my tom no?

5inthebed · 01/05/2010 20:32

They were so cute!

FlyMeToDunoon · 01/05/2010 20:32

fabulous day basl.

basl · 01/05/2010 20:33

5in you are having a right old delema. Did you not think your ds was getting heavy and needed an air tyre? I have to say it really is compact. My mum has the teencyist (is that a word)of boots but with the wheels off in it went. Do you do a lot of walking?

5inthebed · 01/05/2010 20:38

Yeah, my back was getting bad having to push him, but now I have the car back, I'm not really using the pram except for school run to and from car. BJCM fab car pram though, folds ideal. Swapped for BJCE but was a beast to have to fold and unfold all the time.

I'll probably end up keeping nipper tbh, or maybe just buy a mac

basl · 01/05/2010 20:41

Nic he has just turned 12. I thought he was 13 . He is so good with all the kids but he called me this morning to ask if i wanted to go with him and my mum. I said oh but i would have Daniel and he laughed and said all the better. I think he was well aware he was on to a good thing as i am a bit of a softie and treated him to a few bits of clothes a book and an ornament He loved Lion King when he was a baby and never forgot it. So he seen the most awful lion ornament and really wanted it but made me swear not to tell anyone.

basl · 01/05/2010 20:44

I think the bjcm would be great but i was doing some pushchair spotting today much to my mums disgust. I saw the quest in the marsh green/brown and i loved it. I very nearly had that but don't know why i never i think it was the bjcm that i got. I also saw someone with the apples quest and they really do look so nice.

nicolamumof3 · 01/05/2010 21:09

oh basl your nephew sounds a darling. i do love boys it has to be said they are often so sensitive aren't they?

i do love my apples quest but think im hankering after the grey/blue/orange one i had before (twice)

maxybrown · 01/05/2010 21:17

waaaaaaaaahhhhhhhhh

basl · 01/05/2010 21:21

What is it with pushchairs? I was the same today nic. Could not stop looking at other pushchairs. Funny thing was Ben will be going to high school and they are doing this American thing where they have to make a flower baby from bag of flower. Dress it look after it etc and it is checked on a regular basis and when time is up points are counted for how well they care for it and this is then passed on to High School. I was in stitches when he was telling me this and he asked if he could borrow Olivias dolls pram because they have to do a mobility thing and take it into school in a pushchair. He was mortified when i told him the colour and said it was a boy!!! Me and mum where laughing so much but he was mortified. My mum then had a funny look on her face and begged me not to buy him a pushchair as if

basl · 01/05/2010 21:22

ohhhh Maxy helloooo you ok. you are so funny. Sitting here with a silly big grin on my face.

nicolamumof3 · 01/05/2010 21:26

lol i got a blue dolls buggy he can borrow!! they are only £6 in elc? wouldn't it be bit low for him tho hahahahah!!!

oh maxy i feel your pain..hope you have wine.

basl · 01/05/2010 21:31

Nic luv that email Yes i think so too way too low. I think a marsh green quest is what that baby needs. Only the best for my nephew's you know. I did think for a moment i have £19.00 credit with littlewoods and with that code sure i could get him something just so he gets full points you understand. I offered to babysit as that gains points but he was a bit edgy about daniel doing something to it. Honestly never did things like that when i was at school.

basl · 01/05/2010 21:32

I am hesterical here on my own thinking maybe an air tyre is required???

nicolamumof3 · 01/05/2010 21:34

no sounds amazing don't think they do that round here!

tom is in last year of primary school he just gets sent to france for 5days

basl · 01/05/2010 21:41

Awwww how does he feel about that? Ben was away on a camping thing with school and he told us today he was so home sick. He does not like leaving home now after both my nephews were made to go on holiday with their other gran and grandad abroad when my sister was really poorly. She insisted they go as it was all booked before she became ill. They went and she died while they were away but it was almost like she wanted them out of the trauma of it all but Ben never forgetts that feeling he told us and feels really anxious when not at home.
Now that certainly wiped the stupid grin off my face.
Sure your tom will love it. I did when i went with the school.

nicolamumof3 · 01/05/2010 21:46

oh v.

toms used to leaving me as goes with his dad away at least a week usually two every year. however this is first time without one of us with him. they can't take phone's either so he was a bit worried about that. But think it will be good for him. Its monday-friday then we go to Greece on the sunday! lucky boy 3 weeks holidays.

basl · 01/05/2010 21:50

He sure is. I love Greece. Had some of the best holidays ever. Very hot mind. All the summery clothes in shop now and i am so tempted to start and buy now for summer. Never done that always bulk.

basl · 01/05/2010 21:52

Maxy not long till tomorrow xxx

nicolamumof3 · 01/05/2010 22:34

no worries my lovely! and thank you too! night night and sweet dreams maxy too! you can tell us all about it tomorrow

maxybrown · 01/05/2010 23:55

Bet you are all in bed now........nearly morning, nearly morning, nearly morning. I had beer bit fuzzy but obviously not enough as we hadn't put their bed up and just watched a film and Matthew tells them we'll just go and sort the bed, then they just follow us up and stand in the door way blocking everything so couldn't do anything grrrrrrrrrrrrrr.

There is a long list really, and reading that back sounds pathetic - just a finish off to everything else. Sure you know where I'm at Nic eh?

Shall we have a May thread? Are you still up Basl?
