basl · 30/04/2010 22:35

so sorry about the spelling. I do have higher English but i just can't spell. Apart from the embaressment never stopped me in life. Sorry.

maxybrown · 30/04/2010 22:42

Yes always always hot - have been like it since a baby though and I promise you I have not always been a heffa

I get very very angry when so very hot too - I was scared I was going to pin the midwife against the wall when in hospital as I was sooooo hot and they wouldn't let me go home and there was nothing wrong with either of us - just the bloomin heat!! It is like my thermometer is broken.

Head is fine now though thanks basl - though think that is possibly sinus headache - cor want putting in a bag and shaking up don't I?!

fortunately DH is exactly the same as me and also has always been like it - though we seemed to have created a child like it too

Disenchanted3 · 30/04/2010 22:45

urgh god, just read that other thread and the cleaning thing in Birmingham was in the pent house, I don't do lifts!! lol, Maxy fancy trekking up 20 flights of stairs with me

maxybrown · 30/04/2010 22:46

yeah, I could do with losing weigh anyway

basl · 30/04/2010 22:51

Ahh i know that feeling well when too hot, but i seem to have these sweat type hot flushy things. Fancy you getting a volo it must be like Little and large when it is stood beside the Elite. I do miss mine and i kind of knew i would but unless i move house like you suggested it was a big pita.

So any tips for my bug hating child when she goes camping for the first time. So funny when my sister gave me the list of what needed. I am so not prepared for outdoor camping. All ready now but i had to tell Olivia that her fav silk M&s pink spotty pjs and fluff ugg style slippers were not appropriate and she just did not get it so we talked about her trips to the woods and she said oh yeah like when i water the plants when i need to go to the toilet. I think she will be just fine.

maxybrown · 30/04/2010 23:07

ah bless her We are very good at winding up in this hous unfortunately so when james goes argh argh (spider) Matthew will then spend ages holding tomato tops in his hand pretending it is a spider - and so on, you get the picture - very grown up is my Hsuband

Well the Volo will really be to leave at my Mums (who am I kidding?) or to take when i am not travelling like a pack horse and can fold it and sit upstairs as a treat for James. I do love the elite though, especially in the rain. James is so cosy.

As for the sweats - I kind of get like that but always have - the women in my family have all had very late menopauses - into 60's, my mum just kind of finishing and she is 61 - so bound to follow

Ah read your post again - made me smile about Olivia We going to camp in Scotland hopefully this year too.

5inthebed · 30/04/2010 23:41

Evening ladies

I've been on a date with DH. Pictures and something to eat. Have had a lovely night

Hope Olivia has a lovely weekend camping Basl.

basl · 30/04/2010 23:41

Well Maxy, Told my sister that you may be camping in fife and she was up for a meet up. Now how many times can i say that.

My Sister loves camping so if you are in the area or near north berwick. That is how far they travel at short notice we will if can meet up. She tells me i may be too loud. When i am on form i do laugh a lot but lets not get too worried about that just now. So my Lovely Maxy give me a shout and lets go camping.
I have Olivia's bag packed now and feel sad she was so not fussed to go away. Maybe a good thing she loves my sister.

maxybrown · 01/05/2010 00:00

fabby Basl - she just sounds like a confident little girl, look at it that she is happy and secure in herself and you. Will look forward to it!! DH itching to take me up there!

How lovely 5in

basl · 01/05/2010 00:02

Ohhhh 5in sorry i thought i was the lone poster again. Prob missed you but that sounds lovley. How nice for you having a nice meal and film with dh. Thankyou and yeah sure she will. So funny she thinks my sister has a magic hand. We told her if she wad not in bed by 7pm My sister would know.Well she was fast asleep in seconds. If she falls or over tired my sister tells her she has a magic hand and i swear it works.
Sorry Ladies just making up for lost time.

christine1981 · 01/05/2010 00:04

if anyone fancies a lightweight stroller for the summer then the awar winning petite star zia has to be the way to go i got mine for jiggly bubs and have never look back

BexieID · 01/05/2010 00:05

5in, what did you see at flicks?

Am hoping to go see Iron Man 2 next saturday providing i've expressed and Erins taken a bottle beforehand.

They both have a party tomorrow, but don't want to take Erin if Toms gonna hit her all the time like he does. He hit the other kids at nursery yesterday and kicked a teacher. 2nd time he's done it and both times I told him no choc after nursery because he didn't eat lunch. DP isn't keen to have Erin as i've not expressed yet. Might suggest he go as well seeing as it's at a soft play place.

BexieID · 01/05/2010 00:10

I had a Zia when they first came out. Used max 20 mins and sold it because handles are too low (i'm 5ft2). The Loola handles are low too, but like how you can change handle angle. Didn't like Zapp ither but the newer Zapps and the Bruin Zias are supposed to have higher handles. If they did the Bruin Zia in purple i'd be straight over to toys r us buying one!

maxybrown · 01/05/2010 00:11

It is lovely to have you back Basl

I must go to bed as need to be bright eyed and bushy tailed for our visitors

Oh would you look at that - it's May

maxybrown · 01/05/2010 00:13

May day may day forget your troubles and play day......lalalala or something like that anwyay - can't be expected to remember it, I was only 6 and have had a baby since then

horsemadgal · 01/05/2010 01:03

Good singing maxy!

Bexie hope this link works

horsemadgal · 01/05/2010 01:06

basl. I'm always roasting too. Though my blood pressure is sky high so could be that (blame that for everything!)
£40 to recover a hood? Goodness, bit too steep for me.

basl · 01/05/2010 07:06

Hmg i know i told you i am a loon. Posted anyway so new liner etc with no pushchair lol, Maxy very good singing Just getting ready for my wee girl camping but it is raining sooo much. Text my sister and she says AND what's the problem.Ohh going to miss my Olivia.

nicolamumof3 · 01/05/2010 07:50

oh your sister sounds fab basl!
tis raining here this morning or has been raining. DH working all day as well so what to do with these little monkeys in the rain on my own on a saturday hmmmm. i don't like w/ends on my own as sooooo busy everywhere.

Anyway happy may day! as long as olivia got spare clothes wellies and coat she will be fine.. whats a bit of rain eh?

BexieID · 01/05/2010 09:34

Purple Zias are nice in flesh, saw one last week. Hate the handle height though, too low.

Thats me expressed 5oz in 10 mins, lol. DP said he'd have Erin whilst I just took Tom to party today (both are invited but Tom would just hit her the whole time). I just had to make sure she had a good feed. So have some milk now just in case, not that shes had a bottle yet, but shes always eating her hand and sucking her thumb!

BexieID · 01/05/2010 10:24

Do you guys just put a swim nappy/trunks on your kids when you go swimming? Or those all in one things? When I took Tom as a baby, he was just in swim nappy, but when we took him when he was older he had a sunsuit on. Not sure what to do now. Have got him some trunks but DP seems to think he should have a sunsuit on for warmth. I have got Erin a wee swimming cossie. I don't like bikinis on children, although the only time i've worn one was as a child, lol.

Disenchanted3 · 01/05/2010 10:25
