Oh i am nervous about that. Maxy thinking about you and dh and little james hope you are all well and having a fab time. Still trying to put more pics on but taking for ever.
Nic big squeezy hug from me. nah nah nah nah nah told you so. [sorry guess who has been on the red wine tonigh] Geek i blame you with tempting me earlier. How bad is this 6.30pm Daniel ready for bed and olivia arrives home from having a fab time at grandads and i say lets nip over to the co-op for milk . In the co-op i buy milk, crisps, choc, Bottle of red wine. Leave the co-op and who do we bump into but Olivias nursery teacher. Teachers asks if she is having a late night because nursery finished for a fortnight and Olivia prompty told her no mum needed some wine then Olivia aske Mrs Willson who's hand she was holding? Is that your dad so i well and truly deserve my glass/bottle of wine. Dh on tripple time so not home till late.

Divatheshopaholic · 04/04/2010 16:47

Back from easter egg hunt, im knackered now
Kids both got huge egg each. Played in the park, rode miniature train, paid £1 each for 15min on bouncy castle.
Geek, great you won bee. I think Bee is great if you have new baby.
Nicola, 800 pm House prices arent as high here.

GeekOfTheWeek · 04/04/2010 16:52

I cave in. Setting off to the shop for wine!

Wonder if I can buy some self restraint from ebay

We did an easter egg hunt at home. Dc's loved it.

nicolamumof3 · 04/04/2010 16:52

5inthebed · 04/04/2010 17:33

I'll pass Nicola. DS2 has loads of pyjamas and trousers/jeans. He has the most clothes of the lot of them!

nicolamumof3 · 04/04/2010 17:45

okey dokes Thanks!

horsemadgal · 04/04/2010 19:51

Are you going to rent short time FlyMe?
Think be ok short term but not sure I see the point of renting over the long term as it's like throwing money away. Though suppose if you need to release that equity not much else you can do.
Housing market has got to improve again surely.

Divatheshopaholic · 04/04/2010 21:04

We had easter egg hunt at home after tea, it was good fun. Both kids were running around with basket. Then they ate loads chocolate. I even helped ds and ate half Malteasers egg
Geek, i like cheap wine posh wine always tastes like mouth wash
Nicola,FMTD i live in the middle of nowhere, so house price, rent is cheap
Dh`s friend got shoebox in Wilmslow and its apparently half million. Could buy couple of terraces and couple of detached houses here 30min drive away from his house.

nicolamumof3 · 04/04/2010 21:11

oooh i want an easter egg!!!!

had a good clearout today as you can probably see from all my for sale threads feel better for that!

FlyMeToDunoon · 04/04/2010 21:11

Oooh Geek a bee. well done.
We were planning to rent anyway as DP is only doing freelance now, work has been scarce and we wouldn't be able to get a mortgage on his income atm. In a year that may have changed and we could look to buy again.
House prices are crazy. London particularly.
I have had two small Lindt eggs and two glasses of fizz with dinner. Another on it's way!

5inthebed · 04/04/2010 21:48

Rent around here isn't too bad. I've got a council property ATM, but intend on going private as its a flat, and I want a house. Need to save for a deposit, but with me not working, it'll be a while, unless my MIL pays, which I don't want her to do, as she holds me to ransom every time she pays for something.

Nice job on the Bee Geek. What colour did you get?

I wonder if I'll get the chance to go look at Bee+ soon.

nicolamumof3 · 05/04/2010 10:36

monrning all where are you all?

dh at work today..just booked courier for my fastfold but really don't want it. I need to get some cash for hols so will be cleaning up and selling on. May also sell volo. Think im best off keeping quest over volo. But i'll prob change my mind again by lunch time!!

GeekOfTheWeek · 05/04/2010 12:11

Hi girls, computer was broken last night but magically repaired this morning

My bee is black but will be looking to purchase blue accessories and a blue hood

Flyme, if you are planning to rent anyway then it makes sense if the price is right. Have never rented as it seems a waste of money but can understand that a lot of people do. I would look at it in that the money you make in interest on the equity won't cover the money you spend on renting. Don't know your circs so obviously can't advise. I would definately see a financial advisor though. There may be another solution. i.e interest only mortgage, rent it out to someone to cover mortgage and you rent somewhere cheaper. My friend did this as she needed some of the equity to buy another property.

FlyMeToDunoon · 05/04/2010 12:28

Morning all. Oooops afternoon.
Feeling very flat today. Possibly after effects of the wine
Geek our house sale is nearly complete. We would only regard interest as a small income to take off the rent. We looked into many possibilities but DP and I felt selling was what we wanted to do. I know renting can be horrible but so is struggling to find mortgage and the fear of losing it all.
This way we will have a big chunk of money in the bank and less responsibility for maintainance and upkeep of property. We hope to feel freer.
Today I am not enthusiastic about staying here though. Everything feels samey. It's probably wise to stick here but sooooo sensible.

GeekOfTheWeek · 05/04/2010 13:05

Sounds like selling is the sensible thing to do then. Maybe a change is what you need. Would you be more sad to leave or more sad to stay? I think its one of those heart vs head decisions.

Just a thought though, if you have a nest egg n the bank you won't be able to clain council tax or housing benefit. Think it 6k max you 'allowed'.

Hope I'm not coming across as patronising, I don't mean to be. I just have to know some of these things for work.

nicolamumof3 · 05/04/2010 16:55

afternoon all...

quiet one here my mum came over and we went to pizza express with boys. that was nice.

only had to take Luka to the loo 4 times whilst there

5inthebed · 05/04/2010 18:10

Evening ladies, been a long boring day today. Went to do our food shopping as hadn't had the time to do it yet, then to MILs, my mams and then home. So thrilling.

Streety has a bid on it on Ebay, so hopefully will sell by tomorrow.

GeekOfTheWeek · 05/04/2010 18:25

I remember Olivia being fixated with going to the toilets when potty training

5in, good news about the streety. I'm just having a nightmare with ebay at the min. Refunded that seller that had the miscarriage. Relisted item, someone has BIN and paid but now won't come to collect it or arrange courier. I have been v nice up to now but am not providing a free storage company.

horsemadgal · 05/04/2010 18:53

Gah to eBay here too.
I have 2 non-payers and 2 parcels gone missing.

nicolamumof3 · 05/04/2010 19:43

my ebay not too bad atm but i have listed LOADS! i figure if i get 99p for each item and sell 50 things im happy! then random things seem to go for loads...weird. Have more to list tonight tho...that is boring! luka doing well potty training. but not happy to poo on toilet...same old same old!

5inthebed · 05/04/2010 19:46

At least he has started it Nicola
I haven't the energy to do major listings on Ebay. Listed some clothes on there once, and hadn't lcue about what to charge about postage, I ended up evens, so put me off a bit.
