Thanks lovely, waiting for dh to measure out to check it will go in ok

Comfy · 25/02/2010 17:53

Nicola are you having all three boys in one room then? Is your DH working from home, I thought I saw that, and needs an office? Can you chef from home?
Are you nervous about the school letters at the beginning of march, I am now.
Sorry lots of questions.

nicolamumof3 · 25/02/2010 19:24

yes he is working from home doing a sales job related to catering. he would love an office but no thats not reason. in future they may share then could use his room for fourth dc nursery

luka screamed place down just now wants to sleep in 'big bed with tate'. i said shall mummy get one then and he thought i was just going to produce one then and there...as you do

im confident with school places and happy with either choice so not really stressed about it tbh. whats your first choice?

maxybrown · 25/02/2010 19:45

Ah bless him

Well Nicola, I came away from next with nothing as couldn't make my blinking mind up. Emailed JL and they put age 3 top to one side so went down, got it and some bits, came home........it is hardly any different so will have to go back AGAIN now grrrr. I found those trousers in 4/5 too in other Next in case you change your mind. Am going to spend my voucher tomorrow though for sure

mmmh yes i may well have them in 4/5 as he can then get more wear out of them. will have a ponder! will match gruffalo top with the turquoise stitching

im not surprised at JL i told you about the dubious sizing i noticed v.odd its not the first time now come to think of it i had probs years ago remember buying an outfit for tate and it had the wrong tags on it got home and it was huge. Label inside was right but price tag wrong.

have you seen my huge wanted post!!

Comfy · 25/02/2010 20:05

at nursery! Wow. How are you finding it having DH at home then. I know it's slightly different but DP drives me bonkers. He was out today and I got so much more done. Plus I got on the computer more
We might get DDs 2 and 3 bunk beds as DD3's cot bed is falling to bits. It's been through her older sister and 1 and a half years of her so not too surprising. Oh yes and it was/is crap.
Our first choice school is Uplands. It's in Sussex on the other side of twells so you may not have heard of it. Hillview is 2nd choice but the dreaded Academy is much nearer than either of them and that is why I'm a bit terrified concerned.

nicolamumof3 · 25/02/2010 20:08

oh i understand. no i've heard of uplands. good luck i hope you get 1st choice. Have you decided to stay this area then? or still move to scotland?

Im finding it hard with DH at home. only because boys are daddy-mad and think he's there to play/feed/entertain/wait on them hand and foot so its frustrating he's trying to work upstairs on laptop. This afternoon he gave in and let them upstairs they lay in our bed watching iron giant on tv whilst he worked!!

Its hard as im at home so much more this time of year. in summer i'd be at park all afternoon.

Comfy · 25/02/2010 20:11

Undecided on what we are doing so it could all be different come the summer time. Yeah DP gets hauled to play barbies when he is trying to upload cvs and things like that.

nicolamumof3 · 25/02/2010 20:15
Grin
maxybrown · 25/02/2010 20:18

ok just let me know if you want them.

I got Gruffalo top today too got age 3/4 just in case!!

I find it sooooooooooo hard when DH at home if he's working. He is usually home by 4 ish which in theory is noce but now James is older, he too thinks it's daddy time, but he then works til about 7

Comfy · 25/02/2010 20:22

We are having a sort out of the toys as a gentle prelude to packing and honestly there must be about 15 barbies and 6 Bratz dolls. I negotiated the disposal of 4 barbies. mad.

nicolamumof3 · 25/02/2010 20:22

i can't decide whether i should get brighter colours for summer? haven't fitted luka's gruffalo top on. he can wear it at w/end tho.

Tate has been coughing now for an hour in bed keep going in offering him a drink but he's fast asleep.

Comfy · 25/02/2010 20:23

The rain is hammering down here atm.

Comfy · 25/02/2010 20:25

Nicola when you cull toys do you discuss it with the younger two or just get rid and hope they don't notice?

nicolamumof3 · 25/02/2010 20:27

yes just get rid and hope they don't notice. however they found a box of baby toys today i'd forgotton about and loved playing with them. im exasperated continually about the amoutnt of 'stuff' we seem to accumulate.

Even tom doesn't like getting rid of stuff!

pebbles79 · 25/02/2010 20:27

My boys seldom play with toys, most of the stuff they got for Christmas is sitting unused because they're too busy on the xbox 360 and wii!

nicolamumof3 · 25/02/2010 20:30

we don't have any consoles here so mine haven't a clue! much to toms annoyance but he gets wii time at his dads! he has dsi and psp tho. i was thinking of letting tate have toms old vsmile console tho ...but not yet!!

Comfy · 25/02/2010 20:34

DD1 one has a dsi too and thats it. She does play games on the computer sometimes too.
I feel a sneaky cull coming on. Can I really get rid of 3 large disney princess dolls without them noticing they never play with them.

maxybrown · 25/02/2010 20:37

Yeah I know what you mean, i am still undecided about wether to take them back or not?

It is my Grandmas birthday tomorrow so going to put Gruffalo top on him when we go to see her. She is in a home and losing her marbles but she loves James though never remembers his name. We got her a jellycat Bunny because he's sooooo soft. Nice to stroke

OP posts:
nicolamumof3 · 25/02/2010 20:39

oh jellycat we love that!! we have huge truffles sheep laying next to me now on sofa.

maxybrown · 25/02/2010 20:45

me and mum discovered them years ago and so now have a fair few between us James has big bunglie monkey that goes to bed with him, but he was a bargain, 95p in charity shop

I will have o go and match those trousers up with Gruffalo top to see what you mean!! I wanted fantastic Mr Fox pjs but they didn't have them only age 2 on line in sale.

OP posts:
nicolamumof3 · 25/02/2010 20:48

yep i bought age 5 for tate they are huge!!

it goes lovely maxy! the turquoise stitching matches each other then the brown gruffalo!! god how sad do i sound. must get a life...

maxybrown · 25/02/2010 21:29

Oh god you sound just like me it is a good job there is a few hundred miles between us

I had to break off then as Tesco delivery came. forgot all about it!

Just put Gruffalo top on........it fits, not a lot of room though, it is a narrower fit than say Next

Nicola or other mums with kids who go to Tae Kwon Do. Can I be nosey and ask how much you pay?
DS1 has only been going for 4 weeks, we pay £26 per month and they are now looking for £40 for a grading.
Is this about right? Or am I just tight?
Actually I am tight, but anyways.....
