Fastfold would probably be best for your DS Maxy, your mum would like it for getting on and off buses as well.

maxybrown · 20/02/2010 22:01

hee hee, I think my Mum would be quite shocked when she saw it at first There was one on preloved for £35!!! But it's sold.

Who had a switch, carrielou? Anyone recommend them and what are the differences between that and a pramette beyond the rear facing-ness of it?

5inthebed · 20/02/2010 22:21

Pramette can only be rear facing when lying down as you flip the hood and put a liner on it and baby can't be strapped in. Switch you take the whole seat unit off and turn it around.

God I know far too much about prams

Morning all!

Its actually snowing here! I am sad now that P&T has gone as it would have been perfect for this weather.

I am tempted by 5 ins BJCM but I have decided to put the money towards a holiday for later in the year. I may have to give up my pram addiction now I just have my M&P Pulse, I hate it.

maxybrown · 21/02/2010 10:01

Snowing here too! Morning everyone

Morning all, blue sky and sunshine here

claret one pram

Yes I had the switch, lovely pram and can use RF for more than 4ish months unlike the normal pliko. Very difficult to steer though and can't imagine you could use it RF with an older child. I put ds in it when he was 3 days old and struggled to push it - but then all the plikos are like that. Can't push one handed whilst holding dd's hand in normal pliko.

maxybrown · 21/02/2010 11:08

We have about 2 inches (of snow, in case there is any doubt!) and it's just started snowing again

I only have 1 pram now though it is the elite and very nice though have been looking at strollers (again) and I'm sure they have changed the Triumph you know. Looking at the new pictures on line, the seat looks more upright as on the quest.....off to town later so will have a nosy

Thanks for the info on the switch.
No snow here just interminable rain. Am spending a lot of today tidying as the house has gotten sadly out of shape over half term. Well even more out of shape than usual!

Divatheshopaholic · 21/02/2010 12:27

Hi everyone. we got serious snow here this morning.
We wondering if the school will be closed for tomorrow

basl · 21/02/2010 14:39

Hi everyone, 5in had a look at the fastfold and wonder if you kick it all the time with looking so narrow at the back. That is a good point about the bjcm. I do like the fact it has air tyre at the back but not sure about it to be honest. No snow here at all really sunny and bright.

5inthebed · 21/02/2010 16:00

Not much snow here, more like flakes of dandruff.

basl, never kicked any of the three I had.

basl · 21/02/2010 16:18

5in what is it like for storage in the boot etc. Would it be good for holidays and unlike the zapp could you hang a bag on it? I see plo do it in olive. I love green pushchairs. It does look a bit odd shape but if comfy and light suppose i would just have to take the stick off my dh. Oh and what made you buy and sell 3 any think i should know

nicolamumof3 · 21/02/2010 16:50

Hi ladies...im back!! hows all? good half term?

5inthebed · 21/02/2010 16:50

I had one which I sold when ds2 was born, then bought another one when he was a toddler. Then bought Bexies but lusted after a bjcm so sold it to but Normas. You can put bags on them, but topple if the toddler gets out the pram. I got buggy weights for that problem, and worked a treat. Or you could just make sure you had something in the basket with works just as well.

It folds down small, and you can take the back wheels off easily.

basl · 21/02/2010 17:01

oh hi nicola glad to hear from you. You have been missed so much here. 5in i am really growing to like this. I love the olive colour and the back wheels.

nicolamumof3 · 21/02/2010 17:02

its so lovely to be missed!

love the olive fastfold if thats what you are talking bout?!!

OP posts:
basl · 21/02/2010 17:25

Nic i think diva said she said they were small in size would you not need the next one up. She was in John Lewis and said they were small. I am off to work now so look forward to hearing how your hols went. Have you had a fastfold?

FlyMeToDunoon · 21/02/2010 17:30

Hi Nicola!

maxybrown · 21/02/2010 17:34

Oh, AND went in toys r us. Got down a cheapy £49.99 pushchair just to see as never pushed one...........OMG what a nightmare. Sat James in it. I couldn't budge it hardly and you all know he's not the heaviest! I couldn't tip it at all as if going up a kerb.

Then went into Mothercare and stupid woman came over can I help you. Yes, i said, is this the very latest version of the Maclaren TTriumph? Er.....sh says....well it's the recent colour......I said is it? Seems diff to me.....then I explain about how I hate the seat that slopes too much and how the very latest pictures online are diff to these, the seat looks more like the quest.....then she says, oh there isn't really any diff between the Triumph and the Quest well apart from the leg rest i suppose....AND the issue I've just mentioned! says I.....oh yes I suppose she says........THEN she says, oh they have brought out a newer grey than this actually....THAT'S WHAT I BLOODY WELL ASKED!!!!!!!!!

FlyMeToDunoon · 21/02/2010 17:37
