the sola does not have good reviews!! and mamas and papas customer service is really bad,

HauntedPramsScreamsGalore · 31/10/2011 10:35

how heavy is dd, i would be considering the vista with either the piggy back board or the rumble seat, if you need some where for dd now and again, i have pushed many a buggyboard and none of them are great to walk with to be honest, [the bugaboo ones being the worst] but i have heard good things about the piggy back.
the mamas and papas plikos have a step on the back, but they are not a one handed push and are heavy to get up kerbs, you have to put your foot on the step at the back

FriggOmortisFRIGG · 31/10/2011 10:36

i would never buy another M&P pushchair....

ummm, the vista does fold in one piece, when FF,has a big basket and a ride on board....why am i not convinced?

convince me!

FriggOmortisFRIGG · 31/10/2011 10:38

DD is just shy of 16kg...

Tiggywunkle · 31/10/2011 10:38

Lol, I suspected as much hence the Hmm. I never hear anything good about them. They never replied to any of my e mails.
Silver cross Surf?
A Bumprider claims to fit on 99% of pushchairs but you would invalidate any warranty on an iCandy as the back axle isn't designed to weight bear in that way.
Vista or Cham?
I am glad BB helped with the sizes. That's the reason I have set it up in that way to get relative sizes.
How about a Britax? But I am not keen on the seats without footrests.

FriggOmortisFRIGG · 31/10/2011 10:41

no,i like the vigours, but not the newer ones, and im after a shiney new pushchairGrin

yes BB is sooo helpful for stuff like this!

hmmm cam....hmmm

Tiggywunkle · 31/10/2011 10:44

Ok, I wasn't keen on the look at first. It's a bit spindly and B-Dual like for me. But I can't fault it either. Nice fabrics (I thought the red woukd be reallt metallic but it's not), large seat with long leg rest, dead easy to recline, turn the seat round. Large basket - very large - although watch the lip at the front in case things fall out. Good handlebar range but on the taller end. Huge hood with sun visor. Lovely to push - you don't notice it IYKWIM. Very light and manoeuvrable. The children look really comfy. The Rumble seat is fab, and the piggyback fits between the handle and frame. I have to say I am now a fan, not least because a) I think it's nicer in real life but b) it works with no realniggles other than those mentioned above. It's hard for me to find a pushchair I can't fault!

aswellasyou · 31/10/2011 10:45

I've just done a side by side comparison of the Vista and B-Dual and the size difference is shocking! I feel like that's what you might be comparing it to because they look so similar and you've had a B-Dual before. I'm surprised by the weight of the Vista though, seen as you all rave about how light it is.

FriggOmortisFRIGG · 31/10/2011 10:46

nope, cam ruled out-its too much money!

FriggOmortisFRIGG · 31/10/2011 10:48

as an aside, tiggy, did you know the pics come up on the wrong side of the comparison chart?

Tiggywunkle · 31/10/2011 10:50

I was too aswellasyou. It feels light but the stats seem heavy. But then again the Peach is heavy but it's light o push. The Vista is just to easy and feather like to push.
I came back, Frigg, to say the Cham is more problematic anyway. There's lots I didn't like eg the child's head resting on the hood, the fixed foot rest, the tricky / temperamental fold, the flex in the frame when you push, the way the basket bulks up what is a very slim fold, the cost of any extras etc.

FriggOmortisFRIGG · 31/10/2011 10:52

yy,thats what i didnt like about the frog....

Tiggywunkle · 31/10/2011 10:53

Yes at the top, thanks though. It's fine on my PC but not on my iPad. It needs to get fixed. We fixed some huge pictures last night. It's all been since we swapped servers. We are still finding bugs :( This winter we want to build the stats pages up. There's soooooo much to do Confused! I am playing catch up on photos at the minute. I set loads live last night leading to a 3am bedtime! It's rare I get a run at it at the minute!

Tiggywunkle · 31/10/2011 10:56

Ok, what about less mainstream manufacturers? I'coo, Jane, Teutonia, and the 101 others! There must be something interesting!

Tiggywunkle · 31/10/2011 11:01

MyChild Pinto (or the JL version)?

FriggOmortisFRIGG · 31/10/2011 11:07

i know somewhere i can see the strawberry (pre order for end of nov) the peach and the oyster all together, but i cant find anywhere that stocks the uppababy!

FriggOmortisFRIGG · 31/10/2011 11:09

they also have the bee (out of stock though) cam and BJCM 4,might be worth a trip...

Tiggywunkle · 31/10/2011 11:15

I would check the Strawberry date because unless they have free stock and are getting one of the first batch I would be surprised. I am sure it's mid december for the first batch.

Tiggywunkle · 31/10/2011 11:16

It's always worth a trip to look at pushchairs especially if you want to buy :o

Tiggywunkle · 31/10/2011 11:19

Yup - mid December to January for the Strawberry.

FriggOmortisFRIGG · 31/10/2011 11:19

Grin they have a strawberry in as a 'first look' and they have spare stock to pre order for the first batch....when it will actually arrive,is another matter!

FriggOmortisFRIGG · 31/10/2011 11:19

Bah!

Tiggywunkle · 31/10/2011 11:23

Enjoy the look :) It's lovely.

Tiggywunkle · 31/10/2011 11:24

But it won't take a buggy board [wunk]

FriggOmortisFRIGG · 31/10/2011 11:25

oyster,or vista....they both have a buggy board option and fold in one piece FF....

but,the vista is a bit too much money, and im suspicious of the oyster because its a bit too cheap Grin
