Hi, back in the warmth again on a comfy settee Grin

i had a bugaboo withdrawal, it was the being able to change the colours, i have to say i do like it and dd does not do the on off with the brake like ds did!!!!! just need some custom covers now, as only have boring cam ones, which are red, denim, green, yellow fleece and blue canvas.

HauntedPramsScreamsGalore · 29/10/2011 17:09

suzie Sad you are not keen on your xari, i love mine, but i don't have a donkey to compare it to. the donkey does look like it has lovely large wheels.
i saw a pushchair on holiday that looked like a vista, but it was not an english make. i was staring at it as i was thinking, its looks like a vista but its not, looked like cheaper fabrics though, but the chassis was a vistas. all the other pushchairs i saw were either bugaboos or buggys and old pushchairs so a bit boring

suzie38 · 29/10/2011 18:21

Hiya Prams...Nice to see you back again...Xari just isn't me and DD does look too big for it...Rang a localish pram shop today and they've let me have their all black limited edition Cameleon, shop floor model for £699...Picked it up earlier and it's all ready to go...I've gone full circle from the Frog we started with...I had that for at least 21 months...I saw a black one being pushed yesterday with bright pink fabrics and it looked amazing...I've got 5 customs at the moment, having sold 3 a while ago...Bought a Hungry Catapillar set yesterday that has a footmuff rather than just a seat liner...I have 4 footmuff/hood sets and 2 liner/hood sets...And i have details somewhere of a lady in America that was manufacturing snacktrays so i'll look that up later to see if she got through to selling them...Going to get some snow wheels so i can sell the Bumbleride Indie...I love the Indie but i feel it's too big to get on buses, though i know it's not...It's also a bulky fold so it won't fit in either of our cars, and it won't fit in my downstairs cupboard as i have 2 drawers in there...Sell the Xari and Donkey so i'll be left with Flyer, Flite, Cameleon, 2x Citisports that grandparents use...Quest left at my parents in case i forget the Citisport...And selling my yellow Nuna to by the new Nuna Pepp in Wineberry but this is being kept longterm for DD to use once big enough with her toys.

Vista, Brio Sing, Britax B Dual, the American Britax B Dual, all have similar/same frames and the Britax Strider i think it almost identical bar having only 3 wheels...So there probably are other models.

i love the all black cam, and that was a good price, i saw the Hungry Catapillar set, was very tempted but need to be good this side of chrismas.
have decided i am going to sell my verve when its been sorted, think i am just going to have start selling on ebay, although i won't post pushchairs, i am going to sell all my pushchairs apart from my xari, orbit, cam and one double. and then decided next year when the new ones come out what to keep out of them.
dd was a nightmere out of the pushchair on holiday and had to be on reins most of the time as she kept running off or throwing herself on the floor in a tantrum, so i know i will be using a pushchair for next year as i can not control ds and dd on my own.

HauntedPramsScreamsGalore · 29/10/2011 18:47

my nuna was yellow, i fancy either the new micralite twofold or the bj versa, unless something else catches my eye in the meantime Grin. now its cold i need to put a thicker footmuff on my xari what do you think, purple mountain buggy one or olive green stokke one, the orbit has a cozyosko blanket one, in brown and pink, it looks very warm and cosy

FriggOmortisFRIGG · 29/10/2011 18:49

bugaboo bee all black,
or
denim?

HauntedPramsScreamsGalore · 29/10/2011 18:54

i would have all black, have you sorted out your verve yet

FriggOmortisFRIGG · 29/10/2011 18:54

im leaning toward the all black....

Tiggywunkle · 29/10/2011 21:36

I bought an easywalker buggy board after checking it fits and it doesn't. It's got different connectors (probably old stock). The seller says no returns :( I am a bit fed up about it....Hubby saw it as a ploy to not sell the Qtro on, but he doesn't know I had no intentions to sell it on anyway...unless it gets replaced by an Elite which I can't see happening because then he would make me sell the Babyzen....
Hubby says he hates the ABC....I love it but it doesn't fold well and is huge standing up in the hall. He wants me to cancel the +one too which was hopefully my ABC replacement.
Arrghh! What's the perfect pushchair set up? We have too many at the minute and ones we don't / can't use as well.

HauntedPramsScreamsGalore · 29/10/2011 21:38

what about a donkey, i know of someone selling hers Grin Wink

suzie38 · 29/10/2011 22:48

This is what i want to get along with snow wheels and possibly air tyres.

tiggy. why didnt you like the vista with rumble seat? is it just because the back seat doesnt recline? i liked the idea of just popping it on just to get toddler from point a to b. do you know how wide it is? would it be ok on london buses?

are you still selling it?

Tiggywunkle · 29/10/2011 23:15

The Vista with rumble seat is fantastic. I just have another pushchair I prefer. I ordered the Rumble seat months ago and its taken too long to come to be useful to us - DD is now over the upper weight limit and DS can't sleep sat upright. It would be fab on a bus because if you have any problem you just pull the Rumble seat off really easily one handed and stick it in the basket. Its very like a City Select but easier to manoeuvre, to push and get up kerbs, but without the seating positions and tandem carrycot option. I dont know the width but Google will throw it up. Just think carefully about which child would go where if you are thinking of getting it. Mine is on Ebay at present. Its as new. I would love to keep it to be honest, but I dont need it and so hubby wont let me keep it. :(

MonkeyJuice · 29/10/2011 23:39

I'm definately noticing our vista is getting more second glances now the black covers are on. It does look v smart now. I'm also thankful it no longer clashes with all my winter coats!
I am really hoping the Micralite superlite classic will arrive soon. I think I may then sell my bjcm! I am just not liking pushing it after being used to the vista. The Micralite is another super manouverable light push.

Tiggywunkle · 29/10/2011 23:45

Elite or no Elite??? Elite or Qtro I guess should be the question???

MonkeyJuice · 30/10/2011 06:25

The elite is superb, as you know...is it the easywalker quatro you mean? I think I'd be tempted by the easywalker due to colour range and suspension...and because I've not had an easywalker and they look fab. You can't fault the elite though. My only grumble might be the width of the elite rear wheels. Excellent for performance but a pain in the hallway!

MonkeyJuice · 30/10/2011 07:47

Just been looking at the easywalker qtro. Darn it, I want one now!
I think the raisable kicker looks more functional for older kids than the one on the elite. The basket looks easy to access and huge.
I like the rear seat pocket and hood.
It is narrower than the elite. I wonder how firm the frame feels when bumping down stairs. The babyjoggers flex at the hinge if you wheel down steps with child in.
I wonder how good it is off road.
How big are the seats on this brand?
This could be a great alternative to the MB swift!
Would I get away with keeping the vista too. Would it be even better off road than the vista as it has air tyres and different suspension?

MonkeyJuice · 30/10/2011 07:48

They seem a good price at www.babyjungle.nl

Tiggywunkle · 30/10/2011 09:13

I think the seat measurements are on BB. If not I will add them. It's certainly very sturdy. We haven't used our much. It tends to pootle across our thick gravel whilst baby sleeps in it. I love the raised foot bit too - it's one reason I bought it. The leg length is a tad short for the height but it's fine, but DD looks extremely comfy in it - in fact she looks dwarfed in the seat. It's really wide at the top. I bought it instead of my planned swift - it was my reaction against the poor quality of the Mountain Buggy Duet. I wanted something sturdy and strong and the Easywalkers are solid. Huge hood with visor that's toggled in place inside which is cool. Oh and I saw they are doing all black ones soon! The basket is good. My only comment is that on the walk I did on the pavement the front wheels felt a bit shopping trolley but I don't notice that on the gravel plus I need to use it more to see if that was me or not. We didn't go far with it. I bet you could bump it down stairs. It's reasonably big but has a nice book fold, is easy to carry and freestands. The handle has about 15 positions. The fabrics are more canvassy which is one reason I got it. The four wheels are the reason I haven't swapped it for the Elite. I can't fault the Qtro other than what I have said above which is really me being nit picky.

MonkeyJuice · 30/10/2011 11:51

They're a little expensive (or rather BJ stuff is extremely inexpensive.)..so its more "main buggy price" rather than occasional use price. I was hoping the euros price would convert to a lower amount.....darn.
I'll really have to have a clearout and sell some things first.
I would have to get the olive one I think. I do love olive.
I wonder if the sky buggy has more leg room than the qtro?
If your Dd is comfy in her easywalker I'm sure Ds will be also as he's not so big.
Although he does seem to have outgrown the legroom on the bjcm footmuff recently!

Tiggywunkle · 30/10/2011 12:22

I have seen Qtros on Ebay (fairly new) for about £250. I was Grrr coz I paid a lot more than that.
The Sky may well have more leg room based on what I know of the Duo version. They are easier to find. I will try and get some photos up for you. My notebook with the measurements in is downstairs.

HauntedPramsScreamsGalore · 30/10/2011 15:27

ha, this is going to be fun, because i over spent on holiday, i have to wait till tomorrow to do my weeks food shopping, so thats too late for internet shopping, too late for dp to do the shopping, and i can not drive, so what shall i take, this or this with 3 trailers dd will have to be on reins on the way home which is about 15 mins as i will have to do the traffic lights route. that will teach me to spend spend spend

Tiggywunkle · 30/10/2011 15:58

I love your trailers. Can't you get everything in two choo choo trailers with DD in one too?

suzie38 · 30/10/2011 16:12

I've listed my Xari and Indie on the For Sale board...Will list on eBay shortly but my lappy decided to download all 1193 pictures on my card instead of the last set of photographs i took...Be here all night!!!
