I used my BJCM last time we had snow, it was quite good as could drag it with great ease.

No UDs local to me, how strange. Loads of M&P prams though Hmm

My MIL insisted Dh go down and do her little jobs today which were very urgent! He had to walk the 2 mile in the snow as driving conditions bad, just to pay her papers and put her lottery on Angry

Flyme · 27/11/2010 18:16

5in did you say the micralite was good in snow? Did you drag it?

Good friend of mine is expecting twins and so I am already researching doubles on her behalf Grin She's not due until May. Soooooo which double from newborn hmmmm. I think I like the City Jogger Select atm for a tandem style. She drives most of the time so would need two car seats on a pram.
The baby jogger city elite double is looking to be my favourite side by sde but I can't find much info on it.

basl · 27/11/2010 18:21

What about the baby jogger city classic? I know the hood is not what we all prefer but a bloody good pushchair. They go very reasonable on ebay. Not as bulky as the Elite. Although the Elite is luxury beyond compare i think.

Flyme your not in scotland on the 18th are you?? You are most welcome to my spooky night if you like? How are your girls doing?

OP posts:
Flyme · 27/11/2010 18:26

No basl not planning to be in Scotland again this year. Would have loved to come and have a reading.
Girls are so fine that they drove me mad on Friday fighting and DP has had the pleasure of their company for most of today as a result.
I've had a nice quiet time.

maxybrown · 27/11/2010 18:28

Carrie - bonking? What's that?! James asleep? What's that?! Grin Usually by the time he is asleep we are too knackered to do anything like that Hmm good job we don;t want abig fa,ily eh? Grin

ooh Angry at your MIL 5in.

ooh pics of the UD then please Basl! I am prob going to have to go down the ebay route with the classic I bet, damn it!

basl · 27/11/2010 18:29

Oh my pair fight all the time the now. Teasing each other like you would not believe. Glad you got some quiet time. It's is def going to be ONE of my new year resolutions to join you for a cocktail in one of those swankey bars in George street. It has to be done!!!!!

OP posts:
Flyme · 27/11/2010 18:32

I'll drink to that!

5inthebed · 27/11/2010 19:06

Dunoon, micralite was fab in snow. Pushed it by tipping slightly and still pushed easily enough. Where the snow wasn't as dep I could push it without tilting it.

mummyistheword · 27/11/2010 21:23

Hi 5inthebed I'm in Gateshead, lived in Newcastle for ages then moved for work for me and dp, now thinking of move again for schools! Currently not moving far, snow snow snow...cars skidding all over to get out our estate, haven't been out for two days now!! Obviously for walks but that's it, going to see a p and t e3 in north shields sometime this week if weather improves, only wants 100 for it with cosy toes x2 and other bits so don't know what cond will be like, hope ok, could be good buy, no takers on buzz yet but it did quite well in snow today, any deeper though and it wouldn't have!

nicolamumof3 · 27/11/2010 22:06

Maxy love love loved your mil tale sooooo much like my moaning ones I have. Aren't they more interested in their dgs....no of course bloody not!!

basl · 27/11/2010 23:12

Mummy bless you wee soul for getting stuck in their with the pushchair thread. Tis really odd because i kind of wanted it to keep going because all the girls where so good to me and the thread kind of died a bit.

There was a few kept it going BEXIE N ~HMG but it was almost over then i thought come on lets get chatting then something happened and old friends started to chat and made me sooooo happy how ever what about the lovely people who livened the PUSHCHAIR THREAD up with talk of pushchairs.
Should we have a new thread called Nics babes or Maxy's girls or do you get what i am saying.
If we had a thread where we could just scream n shout no matter what[best book in the world my dh reads to my kids no matter what i love you"
So what do you think. Now we will still keep an up to date on the pushchair thread coz nic will be the chair person lol xxxxxxxxx

Snow here. Almost crashed on way to work as well this morning! Parents got here ok, but more snow tomorrow, so don't know what to do now as don't fancy driving in it. Maybe goto Glasgow on the train as they pretty much run like clockwork in bad weather here. Unlike England, when the trains would be off due to geese one the line, or leaves.

Am Envy at DP for being the first to take my urban out in the snow. "It's just a buggy", was his reaction.

nicolamumof3 · 28/11/2010 07:45

morning all! keep as we are i reckon basl..you always have plenty of pushchair talk to keep us going Grin

morning btw Smile

5inthebed · 28/11/2010 08:19

Eek, another 2 inches of snow fell last night! Not good. I have a feeling that schools will be closed tomorrow if it continues to fall.

Mummyis, what schools you looking at? Newcastle or Gateshead or somewhere else?

I'm pretty sure we have at least 6 more months of pushchair chat between us, Nicola, much much more Grin

LOL Bexie, that sounds like something I would do.

snala · 28/11/2010 08:39

Hi all, sorry to crash but do any of you know anything about the nipper 360 and the baby jogger city classic or elite?

I think I NEED a good size pushchair, with a fairly compact fold.

The triumph is just too basic for days out for my 2.10 yr old. (yes he walks too Grin lol)

The nipper seems to tick all the boxes and is a good price. Would it fit a 3y old and beyond?

As you were !!!!

maxybrown · 28/11/2010 08:58

Morning!

Depends on their height snala. The baby joggers would last much longer (have more head heigght for sure) and prob a bit more luxurious than the Nipper but Nipper is very light. Baby jogger as light to push but heavier to lift. I personally prefer the fixed wheel Nipper as better suspension - tis bouncier! (have had 3 fixed wheel Nippers) but have baby joger now.

Very jealpous of snow - we just have a very very thick frost this monrning - so thck it almost looks like snow, but it isn't lol!

basl · 28/11/2010 10:06

Morning loads of snow here today and my dh out in it Sad then i have to some how manage into my work tonight.

Yeah you are right Nicola i think i will always have pushchair chat Grin

Snala agree with everything Maxy said and may i add she happens to have a baby jogger for sale but a very un biased review she gave Grin

My UD arrives next week so i will give pics then. Lovely people and are from kent nicola!! It comes with brand new rain cover, brand new change bag and pump and seen some close up pics and it looks lovely. Not the most stunning looking thing in the world but going to be just what i need. At that price i can get a super funky footmuff. I like the aqua kaiser footmuffs?

OP posts:
lillypie · 28/11/2010 10:55

Morning all just a flying visit as I am supposed tp be getting ready to go out. Grin

basl UD are fab a bit heavy to lift and bulky folded but lovely to push!.

I have just heard tjhat ds2 and his lovely lady are expecting a baby girl so I go pink shopping in the sales.

Grin I have just had a call from Chris (he's at work) after losing four pairs of gloves in a week I got fed up and stitched his gloves onto the sleeves of his work coat with elastic.

I thought he would be pleased!! Grin

basl · 28/11/2010 11:13

Thanks lillypie thats fab news for you Grin

The UD will only be needed for walking so no need to fold or carry so that sounds great. I have the bjcm or should i say i have 5in's bjcm Wink to keep for the car.

Love your gloves soloution

OP posts:
nicolamumof3 · 28/11/2010 11:23

lol at gloves lillypie! and congratulations on the pink bundle how lovely.

snala · 28/11/2010 12:00

Does the bjc mini and clasic have the same size seat? Grin

(wishing I hadn't sold my bjcm now Sad)

maxybrown · 28/11/2010 12:26

I'd say the classic is romier - maybe, but Basl has them both at her house at the minute so she would be able to tell you for definite.

Well I am bloody peed off Hmm

basl · 28/11/2010 12:48

the classic is much bigger snala and will last till kid is about 10 lol

OP posts:
5inthebed · 28/11/2010 12:55
