Even though it was nice to walk in the snow this afternoon and see Tom enjoy himself i'm feeling really because my parents are stuck 7 miles down the road in their holiday cottage by Loch Lomond. They are worried about getting stuck in the car somewhere and not being able to get back.

Oh Bexie thats awful, i know how you feel my dh is stuck in traffic miles away and has never moved for hours. He is starving and says it doesn't look like it is going to improve. Just waiting on taxi to take me to work. I am sure your parents will be ok tho if others stuck there too. I will look on tonight when i get home. Hope they are ok and sure they will be. Well luckily mum brought up sone bacon, eggs and a loaf of bread as dad likes his cooked breakfasts, so they've got that for today. Hope they venture out tomorrow. Dad was concerned as he used up all his screen wash driving up yesterday.

I'm not even sure i'll take Tom to nursery as don't fancy driving up the hill to it and it would take over an hour to walk it in the snow.

On a happier note, I got to use urban in the snow

Our light switch on was today. Pile of pants. You couldn't even see the lights from the stage, but there is a set right by our flat!

Baal it's nice to be welcomed onto the mn thread of choice!! I always looked at it since got preggers 2nd time and began buggy dilemmas when the line went blue! It's amusing reading and good outlet for my slowly dwindling brain cells, have become sahm which I love but its already making me feel like I'm getting out of touch with the me before dc. Will be easier when dd2 is off the boobs and I can leave house of an evening to gym or something, she sleeps super but I still like to be around as shes only 5 months and although usually has a feed at 7ish then nothing till early next morn she still occasionally decides a snack at 10ish would do nicely.....I'm less enthused about this when it happens and in general as she has two blooming sharp teeth.

Hi 5inthe we are contemplating new schools....gosforth I guess somewhere but don't know which one to focus on, I like high heat on near Freeman and also Durham as would save commute over bridge for dp. We in ghead now so no crossing river for work but near us poor school choice compared to our desired locations! Want move nxt yr if we can ready for 2012 dd1 school. More snow today,,,, the buzz didn't do so well......

Well kenny never did get home he is now sleeping in a school on a mat freezing and hungry with a least 500 others. I returned home to find my fil still with the kids.

oh basl thats awful! you're poor Dh. Well my cold got the better of me was in bed at 8.30pm last night. I quite like being up in the dark so early by myself.

Mummyin, my kids go to Gosforth school :) It is closed today though because of the snow, so jammies all day for us I think. Might need to venture to the shops for supplies as not managed to do a food shop yet, can't drive in snow.

well I've got two poorly boys today, Matthew sure he would go in today but it's been a long night. James is on fire and been mumbling all night

Well he managed to get a bottle of wine lol. He said everyone drinking coffee sat at the school tables and he produced this bottle of red. He told me he was going to lie down with coat over him and swig it out the bottle. He said he was having a trampastic time.

What a shame all our schools closed now and more sever than yesterday. No way is he getting home now.

Oh Basl at least they have all been put up somewhere and stuck in there cars, brrrrr, what an awful thought. Thinking of you anyway xxxxxxxxxxxx

still no snow down here. a very very light sprinkling that was it. TBh with not feeling well im not that bothered. Im so out of breath with this cold its a struggle moving. Shall go to bed as soon as luka at nursery this afternoon.

DH had to drive to work today as they had stopped the buses, made him call me as soon as he got there. They're expecting him to still do his deliveries though . He is refusing so far, lets see how that pans out.

Well it is complete mayhem here. All schools closed. Shops closed and my bloody work still open. I had a bit of a set too with a woman who complained she had to wait for 15min to have her call answered. I explained we were almost closed due to bad weather and only skeleton staff. She said not good enough. I explained i struggled into work and nearly all the call centre closed but because i am about half hour away expected to stay. She was wanting to pay her next bill and she could easily do it using the touch tone service. I lost it and asked her if she would prefer everyone risked there lives for her bill to be paid??? She raised a complaint against me but care not a jot!! stupid cow.

Maxy we have sicky bugs in this house now, i have toothache and just want to roll into a big snow ball and roll down the hill and hibernate for the year. lol bear moo
