oh no absolutely Basl!! You chill out and enjoy it Grin

Ooh I would LOVE to come basl Sad I wish. Mind you we are away that weekend! Quite excited - it is the 2 night break I won on here -here you can click the pictures along the bottom, little arrow thingy!

nicolamumof3 · 27/11/2010 10:56

oooh lovely maxy, what a lovely time you will all have.

Agree carrielou you're 'friend' is really rude! how dare she dictate how you run your day to suit her. You do amazingly working with two little ones i take my hat off to you.

Well we are all ready to go just waiting for my cousins to arrive any minute. Tom has no warm clothes to wear as he's such a fussy beggar with his clothes, all his jumpers and cardi's are those fine knit ones. No good in this chill. theres not a pick on him either.

basl · 27/11/2010 13:04

Maxy that looks amazing. You will have a fab time there and what a well deserved prize Smile

It is snowing again! At least 8 inches fell last night, and coming down thick and fast again Shock. Pictures on FB if you want to see the snow.

DH has taken DS1 to see Harry Potter, boys day out. They have one once a month to get DS1 a little one on one time away from his brothers.

maxybrown · 27/11/2010 15:52

ooh how exciting 5in, will have a nosy at pics in a min. James went straight to his new sledge when he saw the spattering this morning - bless Grin

Thank you Basl, yes am really looking forward to it. That weekend would normally cost just shy of £600 Shock

5inthebed · 27/11/2010 16:08

haha! He would love it here then. DS3 hates the sledge.

The place you'll be staying looks lovely Maxy, is it just you three going?

maxybrown · 27/11/2010 16:10

yes just the three of us. I had toyed with inviting my folks but think Matthew would like it to be just us 3 with it being o close to Christmas that we chose to go.

Got 3 double bedrooms all en suite Grin

basl · 27/11/2010 16:14

5in how you doing luv?? you ok?? not snowed in are you ? Grin

Our town has had a major power cut and all the shoppers going crazy as it's in darkness and lifts stuck the lot. So glad i am not christmas shopping today Shock

Maxy is that when my spooky night is then? Well i have had a fab response and nearly 50 people going already Shock going to be a great little night. It's being held in a local pub/inn which has just been refurbished and the owner will allow me a room which is lovely and very old fashioned but in a modern way iykwm with two huge big real fires. So the spooky show in there then she has also given me the reception room to hold the readings at each corner so very private. There is a bar and a buffet on with stovies and soup.
I am really looking forward to it and just up my street really.

I think we may have to get a sledge Grin

Grin I know

Well phone goes, I answer

MIL "are you all prepared for Christmas then?"

ME "ooh no not yet"

MIL "oh not very with it then?"

ME (seething) " well we have too many people to buy for to be all done"

MIl "well we can't be bothered with it all anyway"

Right, so she's not all organised then, she just isn't bothering Hmm

MIL "oh it's sooooooo cold, we've only just put our heating on and my hands are blue"

ME "well I'm not surprised"

MIL "yes but it's so expensive"

(me thinking, well you've both stopped smoking now, why not use all that money you've saved on it?!)

ME "yes but you can't get THAT cold, how about heating one room to keep warm?"

MIL "yes well we could do but we like to sit at the table in the day"

SIGH SIGH SIGH - Yes I effin well know you do, sit at dining room table ALL DAY, only allowed into living room on comfy chair in the evening. Well stop bloody moaning you are cold then - don't go on foreign holidays every year that inlaw father doesn't like anyway and stay at home and spend your money on bloody heating!!!!!!!!!

AAAAAAAAAAAAARRRRRRRRRRRRRRGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH

Oh and she never has anytime to do anything you know, even though they don't go anywhere, don't see anyone and it is only the two of them. But insisting she speak to DH, even though his hands are covered in raw chicken. balls off I say Bear

basl · 27/11/2010 17:15

Well maxy that made me lol so much. Good on you ILaws for effin getting on my maxy's effin nerves enough for her to type that.
So funny the way you put that maxy sorry for laughing but they sound like something from a sit com and you like the distress dil haa haa. Bear moo to them eh?

OP posts:
maxybrown · 27/11/2010 17:19

Have you sorted your PP out yet lovely lady? Smile

basl · 27/11/2010 17:23

Yeah but not getting the swift now. Don't ask honestly i could not begin to waffle on and on about my silly decisions.
I am happy to still part with the classic tho so you just let me know if you want it. Shall i sent your stuff now Maxy??
I love bear moo Bear

HMG are you still wanting the few things you were interested in?

OP posts:
maxybrown · 27/11/2010 17:25

what you going to get then Basl? Shock

Yes still want classic, no hold onto stuff - no rush for it. Has your dino top come yet?

carrielou2007 · 27/11/2010 17:31

[bear at you MIL and that break looks stunning!!!!! It is the law though on a break like that, whilst James is asleep you need to bonk Blush in each of the rooms, especially with that view!!

Dc's dad is like that with heating, being over a certain age he gets the winter fuel payment but comes over here where (now boiler fixed) it is warm to save the money Hmm never has a bath just a shower as it just heats up as you go save putting the immersion on Hmm

8 inches of snow!!!! Dd would love that, she made 'snowmen' in the last bits we had here, swift has been fabbi, with ds snuggled up in the furry pupabag. Going to put the wolf one on tomorrow though as wind really bitting.

Thanks Nicola, I feel like a very shouty mum at the moment, ds is nearly sleeping through but still wakes up at 4/5am then rarely goes back to sleep so I get a bit snappy Blush

carrielou2007 · 27/11/2010 17:32
Bear
basl · 27/11/2010 17:36

Well i just bought an immaculate nearly new all black urban detour for £40.00. It's is 2cm narrower than the classic and has huge seat. I don't need to fold it and have room to store and will see me through the winter.

So i can push it in and out my front door Grin It looks like new Shock

I still have my bjcm in fact if you look at fb now i have put some pics up and how lovely is my footmuff.

Carrie like your bonking suggestion Wink

OP posts:
5inthebed · 27/11/2010 17:40

Ahem, Basl, I think you'll find that is my BJCM, so take care how you use it Wink

I could do with a three wheeler for the winter. Might look around for an UD, there is always one going on Ebay local to me.

Basl, your snow looks so sad compare to what we have, which I would have thought you'd have had more, living in Scotland and all that.

basl · 27/11/2010 17:46

I know sorry 5in just had a little shot of it today Blush
The snow is pathetic here but that has always been the way for years. My grandma madge [bless her wee soul] used to always phone and brag about how much snow she had in sheffield. Well i am sure it will come in good time.

I have been a right lazy moo today. It's been great been pottering around and for a little walk and thats about it.
