I moved into my new house about 2 months ago and the sellers keep ringing me. First I had to arrange for collection of items that they said the delivery company left. Now a parcel turned up and they asked me to forward it on which I've done. But now it continues, there are items they think they left in the house that they want and also a shelving unit that's screwed to the wall. Where does it end.

Block them. A shelving unit screwed to the wall is fixtures and fittings. They can piss off.

Edited as I changed my mind about you allowing this. Unless it is in your contract that the shelf was not included, it is now yours and ask them not to contact you again.
You could say you bought the house two months ago and think it is past time to draw a line under their requests for mail parcels and or anything else.

Any parcels with your address should be returned to sender. There's a well-known scam where people do this with mobile phones, the new home owner ends up with a phone contract and the scammer gets a free phone.
You've no reason to trust them.
And no, they don't get to keep asking for things they "left behind". Contact your conveyancing solicitor if you want legal confirmation, but as a pp said, the furniture is yours now.

I agree with other PP. If any other parcels turn up refuse delivery and mark all post not known/return to sender. If they write to you dump it in the bin. They should have dealt with this when they moved or immediately afterwards.

A long time ago when I moved into a rental the lease included the condition that any mail addressed to the LL had to be forwarded to their office within X days. I thought that was a cheek. I am not a mail forwarding depot. Any such mail got binned. Unless it was signed for or courier delivered no one can ever prove that you received it. Things do get "lost in the mail".

Following procedure will help you here.

If they want fixtures & fittings ask them to speak to their solicitor to check the correct legal process.

For all mail, return to sender. Refuse all parcels with their name. You can put a note on your door saying 'surname does not live at this property, all deliveries for surname are refused'.

Don’t answer the calls. Return any parcels ‘gone away’. Be unavailable. They’re obviously not reasonable people so you don’t need to worry about being unhelpful.
