I'd love this one for a childrens bedroom.

That is stunning!

How would someone go about doing this please?

Depends on the tool you prefer... I use chatgpt for work, and just noticed that it comes with a graphic interface as well now.

I want this on our curved staircase to the top
floor but I don’t actually know where to get it. It’s gorgeous.

Please report back!

I will report back. Found a quite cheap place (not in the UK) to print too, so won't be breaking the bank at all.
This is approximately the aesthetic I am going for (all AI generated), but a different image to actually fit on the wall I have in real life.

For decades I've loved the black and white version of the Cole & son woods paper shown above, without stars. I've loved other wallpapers too, but none as much as that.Woods paper

We have this in our lounge

I was racking my brain as to why the drawings looked so familiar but the name was not coming to me as took me back to books of my childhood… it was all the roald Dahl books he illustrated 🥰

@hoxtonbabe I think he’s a genius.

I just adore almost all the Ottoline wallpapers but I think this pattern and colourway are my fave. Hard to pick!

I can't believe the price of the gold wallpaper with the birds on, what a total bargain!

She said she liked wallpaper. She didn't say people with white walls were in any way defective.

@comeondover

well she did really, she said...

Who wants blank white walls when you can have all this beautiful wallpaper?

the implication that white walls are not as niceas wallpaper/boring whatever.

its rude.

NearlyBritishSummertimeYay · 02/04/2024 01:49

TheValueOfEverything · 31/03/2024 13:09

The white walls don’t mind being criticised! Why are you standing up for an inanimate object?

white walls are boring and it is absolutely fine and ok to say that. And you can disagree which is also fine! It’s hardly hate speech with incitement to violence… against white walls (or wallpaper). Only on mumsnet, can people take offence on behalf of bricks and mortar 😁

@TheValueOfEverything

Obviously you're struggling, sorry about that.

It's not offending the walls, as you well know, it's criticising the people who like white walls, inferring they're boring & have no taste/style.

you think you're funny, you're not.

Amelie2024 · 02/04/2024 02:09

OMG

You lot are dangerous!!! I was all set on just painted walls, but you've led me astray!!

Oh this thread is making me want to redo my hallway😩

I love some of the wallpapers on here but at £70 a roll for the ones I like my cat will probably do an extra special job of clawing it when chasing a fly or tiniest spider 🙄

Ciri · 02/04/2024 05:49

I have this Cole and son pattern in my bedroom. It’s really calming. It’s a lovely warm grey so it reads more beige in our south and west facing room.

Thank you for this thread, wallpaper browsing is my favourite thing - I’m not alone! I have Cole and Sons Rajapur in my bedroom, it’s mesmerising. I also have Palm Leaves in dining room but I’m changing it to this - another of my all time favourites, (but am also thinking of going classic with William Morris’ Strawberry Thief). Help.

I disagree. She expressed a preference for one type of thing - wallpaper - over another kind of thing - white walls. It was a harmless comment - there's nothing in it to take offence at. At no point did she make a value judgement about people who prefer the latter. If someone thinks she did, that's putting words in her mouth that she didn't say.

To put it another way -
Cat person: 'Cats are great!'
Dog person: 'OMG you've been so rude about me!'

I've had a very happy time looking through this thread - didn't think I was a wallpaper person, but you've turned me!

Those of you who use wallpaper a lot, how do you decide whether to have an accent wall or paper the whole room (apart from cost). Feeling inspired!
