Game: which house would you buy?

You can move up to 10 miles from home and money is no object.

Which house on Rightmove would you buy and what would you do to it?

I think I'd have this. I do like a rectory. New kitchen and a chintz amnesty required immediately. I might get rid of the balustrades up the front steps too.

What house? Your link isn’t working.

reefedsail · 28/10/2020 20:07

Oh that's a fail then- it works for me though!

The linked worked. Rectories rock! Lots of land with it too!

I’d get a house locally but with more curb appeal and a bigger garden than mine. I’d want to extend it quite a lot.

Money no object? Probably this one - love a Doctor Who house! Would definitely use some of my infinite funds to do up the kitchen though.

That rectory is gorgeous.

I need enough money to heat the swimming pool please. It's a lovely position in a conservation village.

EwwSprouts · 28/10/2020 20:26

Uconsidered that is a house full of character. Love it.

NachoNachoMan · 28/10/2020 20:30

I love this, especially the kitchen 😍

Some gorgeous properties. I'd be happy with the modest castle. I could still commute to my office job.

It’s gorgeous. See what you mean about the balustrade.
DuzzyFuck · 28/10/2020 20:48

Too scared of outting myself so I've gone within 10 miles of my childhood home instead of my current one.

I think I'll have this one, largely because DP is v jealous of some friends of ours that recently bought a house complete with full size snooker table. That wallpaper will have to go though, all of it.

I'll spend my days strolling through the garden under a parasol, in the kind of dress they'd wear in Pride and Prejudice.

JoJoSM2 · 28/10/2020 20:50

I’d love to live by a loch/lake!

I hope someone links something smaller but cute too!

Just having a look through some more. If there are any interior designers on MN looking for a new market, West Yorkshire needs you ConfusedBlushGrin

I've had my eye on this one too Grin

JoJoSM2 · 28/10/2020 21:24

@stanski I’m genuinely surprised that you can get that much garden in a Richmond semi! Great layout and the location within Richmond seems fab!

MrsJamin · 28/10/2020 21:26

I had a walk by the Thames today and drooled over the houses by it. I'd think this would be fab. www.rightmove.co.uk/property-for-sale/property-73387743.html

@Golfinches
