Game: which house would you buy?

You can move up to 10 miles from home and money is no object.

Which house on Rightmove would you buy and what would you do to it?

I think I'd have this. I do like a rectory. New kitchen and a chintz amnesty required immediately. I might get rid of the balustrades up the front steps too.

In another universe eh

reefedsail · 30/10/2020 15:34

Is that actually what you would buy though @chickenyhead?

I just wouldn't be able to be myself in that, even if I had infinite money.

How about this one? Penthouse with beautiful views. www.searchsmartly.co/properties/8744395

@reefedsail

Absolutely, I mean I would change quite a bit, a few slides here and there maybe. A craft room, art studio etc. I could probably avoid the kids for days in that house.

ColinRobinson · 30/10/2020 18:24

Oh this was a tough choice, but since I’m a townie at heart I went for this one:

Weymouth, Dorset

This one, location location location.

Been on the market at 3 mill for less than a month but already sold stc. There's still money floating around...

Sickoffamilydrama · 30/10/2020 20:54

Near me maybe this or actually we could just about afford this if it hadn't sold already 🙄 funny I used to look at "dream" houses then realised I actually like the location we live in I'd just like something a little bigger.

Loshad · 30/10/2020 21:16

Nah, i’ll stick with mine thanks, providing the local council get their arse in gear and protect the green belt.

reefedsail · 30/10/2020 21:18

You win for me @ColinRobinson as my DS (and therefore I) lives half his life at WPNSA!

You could spend every day counting how many cruise ships were in the bay. Grin

Actually I'm changing my mind this is walking distance to Oxford and Summertown which has a very nice bohemian vibe, so close to lots of facilities but like living in the country or Woodstock near Blenheim palace this then I could go for meals at the really nice coffee shops there and walk around the palace grounds.

Pepperwand · 30/10/2020 22:09

@Sickoffamilydrama you're not too far from me, close enough to pop for tea.

I'll choose this stunner

CoffeeRunner · 30/10/2020 22:12

Totally placemarking so I can find this thread after browsing Rightmove Grin.

CoffeeRunner · 30/10/2020 22:22

Well if I have to stay within 10 miles then I wouldn’t leave my village.

Therefore this www.rightmove.co.uk/property-for-sale/property-71113312.html is the best available.

I’d definitely view it if money was no object.

Sickoffamilydrama · 30/10/2020 22:41

I'll get the Brew & Cakeready @Pepperwand Wink
