Ideas for this pink bathroom suite

Please be kind Wink

I'm moving into a new place which requires renovating. But there are rooms that are first in line. Apart from ripping up the carpet, I'd like ideas how to brighten this bathroom up temporarily. Tia

It looks really nice as it is. Pretty and feminine.

BubblesBuddy · 03/05/2020 15:17

Dark green and light pink are hugely fashionable right now! So I would go light grey wood effect Karndesn or similar on the floor and a deep jewel green on the walls. We have just looked at dark greens by Little Greene and Graham and Brown. DD is doing pink and green for her bedroom. You need copper accessories. Add some plants. Forget pale! Go green!

We had those tiles in blue to match our blue bathroom suite. I always thought they were birds.

Holothane · 03/05/2020 15:45

I’d go pale grey very pale then rose gold for taos ect, I’m obsessed with rose gold.

We have a peach suite I'm not understanding the love

When we moved in there was the most horrendous blue/green tiles over the whole room. Couldn't afford to replace it so we just painted the tiles white and kept all accessories white. Still like that 6 years later.

TheCanyon · 03/05/2020 15:48

Actually the first tile paint we bought was meant to be a slightly greyish white, but it was most definitely fecking pink. It was horrendous

I quite like it but I think adding some green will livin it up. Pp posted some green palm tree paper which I think would be great

RandomMess · 03/05/2020 17:23

It pretty much has to be pink, baby blue or a yellow suite to rock the retro look harking back to the 50s/60s, peach or avocado etc is late70s/80s and just out of fashion rather than retro.

cittigirl · 03/05/2020 21:02

RandomMess are you saying it's out of fashion thenWink

It is pink but 70s

RandomMess · 03/05/2020 21:06

Nah it's the right pink to get away with being 60s 😂

cittigirl · 03/05/2020 21:19

Oh good. I just saw in a repeat grand design they had a yellow toilet, pink bath and blue basin. The walls were a deep inky blue. Mind you, it was a big bathroom where mine is just big enough but I think with good lighting and mirrors it could look really good

Get a couple of plants for the bathroom in some great pots - helps add to the ambience and overall affect of the room

Chuchyduck · 04/05/2020 11:47

I absolutely love it, but I love coloured bathroom suites. I would actually go with mint green if you want it nice and light, or if you want to go dramatic, burgundy or a deep brown, which sounds horrendous, but could look stunning. I would be ripping it out unless it was knackered

Chuchyduck · 04/05/2020 11:48

I wouldn’t be ripping it out, I meant, it’s great

Heronwatcher · 04/05/2020 22:35

I’m another one who likes it! I would replace the floor with a good quality vinyl, maybe herringbone wood effect or white herringbone tile effect. I’d paint above the tiles, either in soft pink or white, or go with a pink geometric design, and a nice mirror (maybe a hexagon or a circle). Then either dark wood or brass accessories and some nice white towels. I’d also try to get the pipes boxed in if you intend to live with it for a while.
