Hi everyone saw an earlier thread that went amazingly well for a hiusebuyer with suggestions for areas. So here's my cheeky attempt at it...
Living in Cardiff, planning to have kids, don't want to be more then 30 mins from city centre, need a good sized garden the bigger the better, and all for 300k max. All suggestions for areas and houses welcome.

Hi OP,
I think you'll get suitable responses if your thread title includes the city or town you're interested in.

FatBottomedGal · 17/03/2018 16:23

Bricks I read it as somewhere within 30 mins of Cardiff!

CompleteAisling · 17/03/2018 16:26

You'd probably get better responses if you weren't in aibu!

lostjanni · 17/03/2018 16:27

Completeaisling where should it go?

OP posts:
CompleteAisling · 17/03/2018 16:28

Property? Or even chat at a push. But since you aren't asking an aibu, not here.

lostjanni · 17/03/2018 16:29

Ah how do I get it moved?

OP posts:
DianaBlythe · 17/03/2018 16:29

30 minutes walk or 30 minutes drive from the city centre?

lostjanni · 17/03/2018 16:31

Drive, but 30 mins walk would be a beauty 😂😂

OP posts:
BiologyMatters · 17/03/2018 16:33

You can post wherever you want op. There's no law against it.

lostjanni · 17/03/2018 16:35

Biology matters thanks I think aisling was trying to get me more responses rather then being a thread area Nazi 😂😂😂

OP posts:
CompleteAisling · 17/03/2018 16:38

exactly! when you post in the right area you get better and more useful answers. If you post in aibu you'll get idiots telliing you that yabvu to want a house or something stupid.

Socksey · 17/03/2018 16:44

Go up the A470 some lovely houses in that price range and less around Abercynon, Cilfynydf, Pontypridd, Beddau, Quakers yard etc.... or Caerphilly area.... Abertridwr and Sengenydd etc...

lostjanni · 17/03/2018 16:44

Yes aisling I see my mistake now doh! I have reported my post asking for it to be moved

OP posts:
Duckeggbluetin · 17/03/2018 16:46

I suggest near me in Scotland.

lostjanni · 17/03/2018 16:46

Duckeggbluetin, so sorry but Cardiff it is 😂😂

OP posts:
Pleasebeafleabite · 17/03/2018 16:49

Oh OP your title made this sound more juicy than it actually is

Duckeggbluetin · 17/03/2018 16:50

All suggestions, you said Wink I have been to Cardiff and pretty sure you could commute from Scotland if you live near one of the airports. Anyway, YABU to not consider living near me.

lostjanni · 17/03/2018 16:52

Pleasebeafleabite I'm so sorry for the disappointment 😂😂, duckeggbluetin all within 30 mins 😂 including waiting time, check in, security

OP posts:
Snowysky20009 · 17/03/2018 16:53

No,don't go up the A470 way, stick to nicer areas of Cardiff.

Dancingfairydreams · 17/03/2018 16:57

Fairwater is lovely. Lobekt sized gardens in the older ex council houses, extra bonus us the rooms are all of good size. Radyr is probably a bit nicer with that budget. But lots of building work going along llantrisant road. Thornhill & Llanishen are also worth looking at. Good luck

DawnMumsnet · 17/03/2018 16:57

Hi, we're moving this thread over to our Property topic at the OP's request.

lostjanni · 17/03/2018 16:58

Dancingfairydreams thanks for all the suggestions. We heard llandough is nice as Well?

OP posts:
lostjanni · 17/03/2018 16:58

Thanks dawnmumsnet, saved me from a big mistake 😂😂😂

www.rightmove.co.uk/property-for-sale/property-71895626.html

You can walk to town from here. Always something going on at Chapter and handy for Thompson park, Victoria Park and Llandaff fields. Garden is paved but you could put grass down.

Again garden is paved but could be unpaved.

Radyr more suburb-y.

Rhiwbina - a bit far to walk to town but easy drive.

Big garden and not far to the beach out of town in Llantwit major

South facing garden in Penarth - you can walk round the barrage to Cardiff Bay.

Whitchurch is lovely.

lostjanni · 17/03/2018 17:01

Thanks dianablythe much appreciated. As long as we can drive in 30 mins it will be ok. A garden is my hubby priority, he grew up with 10 acres 😂😂
