Aka how much do we all know, or guess, about PigletJohn. Please add to the thread.

PigletJohn dries all his clothes in his tumble drier. If it's broken he can fix the machine in mere minutes, but he'll sometimes use this moment to allow his neighbours to return him a favour. PigletJohn's neighbours are keen to oblige as it makes them feel better about the many questions they ask of PigletJohn. PigletJohn's neighbours don't like to take advantage, but he's too damn useful.

If you tell PigletJohn how many litres of water your kitchen tap produces in a minute, he can tell you which boiler to buy. Many posters are embarrassed of their plumbing inadequacies and refuse to divulge this personal information.

In the event of a natural disaster PigletJohn could fashion a shelter from the contents of his shed.

PigletJohn knows all about gardening. Water/ nutrients/ drainage. It's basically plumbing and mechanics.

PigletJohn bakes a mean Victoria sponge. (probably)

There should be a talk section in MN called "The world according to PigletJohn". It would be a cornucopia of advice- DIY, relationships, film reviews, politics and recipes would all be there.

He's described himself as he several times in the past.

PigletJohn has a toilet with a proper flush, not one of those silly buttons which is bound to go wrong at an inopportune moment.

All his taps are Bristan, and look like actual taps.

He has extremely practical laminate worktops in his kitchen, and his kitchen flooring goes wall to wall.

He reads the parish newsletter.

PigletJohn is a pragmatist.

PigletJohn has proper extractor fans, the kind that vent outside, not up into the loft. He also opens windows regularly for ventilation. If he had stripped floorboards, he would insulate beneath them properly, not just shove stuff in the gaps.

He likes wooden front doors and wooden windows.

PJ swears by his water softener, it literally 'transformed his life'.
He doesn't like combi boilers much and prefers the old system.
