Just out of curiosity after reading the garden shed thread, can you send me the link to an example of the best place I could buy in your area.

Thanks :)

My link didn't work! Am on phone but it was on rightmove and the road is called moordown!

SteeleyeStan · 30/12/2013 00:00

In the town we're moving to, the only house on sale for c. £350,000 is a 5 bed detached house with period features, a large garden and nice views.

jonicomelately · 30/12/2013 00:03

There are 128 messages on this thread and the first link I tried at random came up with a house that's just around the corner from me Shock

I would go for this! www.rightmove.co.uk/property-for-sale/property-27619746.html

StairsInTheNight · 30/12/2013 11:13

working link Ta da,4 Bed zone 4 with garden and nice views, Shooters Hill, SE London.

StairsInTheNight · 30/12/2013 11:16

Shooters Hill or for £325 you can have this pretty 3 bed semi, and money left over to do it up!

JumpJockey · 30/12/2013 11:20

A competitor for most depressing house ever www.rightmove.co.uk/property-for-sale/property-27202095.html?premiumA=true

Or one of the hundreds of boxy flats going up near the train station - parking space available for an extra 12k Hmm www.rightmove.co.uk/new-homes-for-sale/property-44046692.html?premiumA=true

bunnymother · 30/12/2013 11:29

There is one studio flat or you could buy a parking space. I don't think where I am is good value for money, re buying property.

merryxmasyafilthyanimal · 30/12/2013 12:12

Fuck all hahaha GrinGrin

SadSadSad

Heifer · 30/12/2013 12:14

surprisingly this! I am guessing it's been reduced as I would have thought it would have been more here. Although on main Road so that could be why.

Probably a large stone house, slate roof with a swimming pool.

BUT, I live in SW France Grin

MrsSchadenfreude · 01/01/2014 21:22

A studio flat or possibly a one bedder.

Noggie · 01/01/2014 21:28

A very nice 3 bed sandstone house in nice area with good schools Grin

MrsSchadenfreude · 02/01/2014 09:23

this is in a grotty area in a shitty block.

this is in a chichi new development at the Elephant.

SarfEasticated · 02/01/2014 10:09

Schadenfreude i think your definition of 'shitty' block is a bit different to mine, as I think that first place is quite nice. I still wouldn't live at the E&C though, too many creepy underpasses. Noggie you have to tell me where you live, it's your civic duty to share (so we can all pile up there Grin) but then tb SW France does sound nice...

HoobleDooble · 02/01/2014 15:40

This which comes with an additional building plot.

Or this

Or this

Unfortunately I can't afford any of them!

MrsSchadenfreude · 02/01/2014 18:39

Sarf - I agree the blocks look nice, but really... they are not. I walk past that one quite often and it is open to the street and often smells of piss.

MrsSchadenfreude · 02/01/2014 18:41

They seem to have got rid of the underpasses at the Elephant - you can cross at street level now.

Dambusters · 03/01/2014 20:20

I'm SE4! Changed name to not out myself....

Prices have gone nuts. We were lucky we bought when we did but now can't afford to buy a house without moving further out.

Shouldn't complain though.

Dambusters · 03/01/2014 20:38

Sarf - I've always wanted a utility too!

AdiposeLoveMe · 03/01/2014 20:45

MissBetseyTrotwood · 03/01/2014 20:55

Ex local flat in a nasty block.

lekkerslaap · 04/01/2014 13:58

2 bed terraced cottage or 3 bed semi...

Nice area but not a lot for your money really!

And as a little bonus, the village it's in is picture postcard pretty :-)
