In the town we're moving to, the only house on sale for c. £350,000 is a 5 bed detached house with period features, a large garden and nice views.

There are 128 messages on this thread and the first link I tried at random came up with a house that's just around the corner from me

Schadenfreude i think your definition of 'shitty' block is a bit different to mine, as I think that first place is quite nice. I still wouldn't live at the E&C though, too many creepy underpasses. Noggie you have to tell me where you live, it's your civic duty to share (so we can all pile up there ) but then tb SW France does sound nice...

Sarf - I agree the blocks look nice, but really... they are not. I walk past that one quite often and it is open to the street and often smells of piss.

They seem to have got rid of the underpasses at the Elephant - you can cross at street level now.

Prices have gone nuts. We were lucky we bought when we did but now can't afford to buy a house without moving further out.

Shouldn't complain though.
