Just out of curiosity after reading the garden shed thread, can you send me the link to an example of the best place I could buy in your area.

Thanks :)

Only thing it would get you in our area is an 840sq ft terraced cottage - it does have a 'garden' (or something that the EA calls a garden at any rate) mind. Xmas Grin

mankyscotslass · 29/12/2013 20:34

this is fairly local to me as is this and this

Liara · 29/12/2013 20:45

5 bed house with a large garden within 5km - but they can also go for twice that much for a similar size depending on your definition of 'my area'.

If you define my area more narrowly (within a couple of km) then the answer is nothing. We are very rural.

CalamitouslyWrong · 29/12/2013 20:48

this new build is on a less maze-like estate

There are loads of new builds for sale for c. £350k near here.

CalamitouslyWrong · 29/12/2013 20:50

this one wins! because it has a dalek

squaretoes · 29/12/2013 20:52

Most of the houses near me could be bought and leave you with a bit of 'doing up' money for £350,000. At least a 4 bed detached, probably more. I have just bought my new family house for £170,000 it ticks all our boxes and has extra we weren't looking for. I am in Lancashire.

level3at6months · 29/12/2013 20:58

Oooh, Calamitously! I know the people selling one of those houses!

Varya · 29/12/2013 21:03

A nineteen thirties semi in nice area close to good schools, but in need of some updating possibly. West Surrey.

WhispersOfWickedness · 29/12/2013 21:06

Luckily I'm not worried about outing myself, as I give you this 10 bedroom doer-upper Grin
Granted, it is a touch more than 350k but I'm sure they are open to offers Smile

This is on for 350k if you are pedantic about price Wink

CalamitouslyWrong · 29/12/2013 21:09

Ooh, level. I so hope it's the one with the dalek.

That one is maybe 20 minutes walk from me.

TheBookofRuth · 29/12/2013 22:04

Nowt, and I'm not in London either. We bought our small 3 bed terrace a year ago for £375k - similar properties on our street are now going for around half a mil!

StairsInTheNight · 29/12/2013 22:12

four bed end of terrace with views over London?

SarfEasticated · 29/12/2013 22:15

Where is that stairs?

OP posts:
StairsInTheNight · 29/12/2013 22:43

Shooters hill, Greenwich, se London. It's nearest to woolwich for transport into London (grim) or blackheath which is lovely but a bit further away. Nearest tube north Greenwich, half hour bus journey. Right next to oxleas woods and the farm. It's a lovely bit of London!
