Anyone with a cool £5 million looking for rainbow staircase and integral steel slide into kitchen? walk this way...

My eyes are bleeding. I thought I'd browse trendy Notting Hill pads for inspiration and found this beauty. I'm all for a bit of quirky but this, really who would buy this monstrosity? And if you look at picture 23 it also appears to have a life size Batman in the house

Someone actually got paid to design this??!!!

There is no kitchen in the kitchen, if the slide thing gives into what is intended to be the kitchen.

In fact that is one of the ugliest houses I have ever seen. As Lloyd grossman used to say, who lives in a house like this?

Who indeed.

NotGoodNotBad · 28/04/2013 21:36

Picture 6 - did they just not bother with that room then?

Not sure why you need 4 or more pics of one room or one staircase, just from slightly different angles.

FannyFifer · 28/04/2013 21:46

That house is utterly bizarre, why is batman there, where does the slide start, where is the stuff for the live of god.

Parisbanana · 28/04/2013 21:46

I am actually speechless. It is most odd...

I loved the staircase and Batman. Not sure of all the white walls but at least the floors were interesting

SchroSawMargeryDaw · 28/04/2013 21:56

The house is suspiciously wipe clean.

Is it Hannibal Lecter's London pad?

You can't buy taste! Wink

Devora · 28/04/2013 22:09

That flat tries too hard. Way too hard.

PacificDogwood · 28/04/2013 22:12

Every single floor in that flat makes me feel all stabby and angry Confused.
Horrible.
I, on the other hand, would love the slide Grin

pootlebug · 28/04/2013 22:14

Holy crap. What is with the red chair with multiple pull-out tables? It looks like something from a bad dream where you have been given 4 exam papers at once and 15 minutes to complete them....

BuiltForComfort · 28/04/2013 22:40

The slide starts in the bathroom in fact.... see here

The designers seem to be obsessed with slides and making big rooms into completely uninhabitable and worrying spaces - check out the guy trapped behind a spaceship here , the man who rather than worry about where to file anything should in fact check out the swamp monster eating his chair here and some sadist's idea of a storage system here.

All of that is in what used to be a 4-bed house ... Perhaps the swamp monster ate all the furniture.

Katz · 28/04/2013 22:46

Does it have 2 kitchens?

flow4 · 28/04/2013 22:52

You're right Built... But OMG, that red chair is ALIVE and now in the bathroom WATCHING THE WOMAN! Shock Shock Grin

Jaynebxl · 28/04/2013 22:59

Wow, thanks for sharing! They do love the staircase don't they? So many photos of so few things, makes you wonder what the bits they didn't manage to fit into their gallery of 25 photos look like.

But they do have the same coffee pot as us on their stove so they got something right at least Grin

Oldieandgoldie · 28/04/2013 23:02

BUT.....they DO have TWO wine fridges in the kitchen (pic 22)!! Grin My type of people.

And I'm another who likes the staircase. But nothing else.

Jan49 · 29/04/2013 03:28

Hah hah! It looks like a really funny dolls house.

What a shame I can't afford it.Hmm

Mondrian · 29/04/2013 04:17

Price seems to be around £1500 per sq ft which sounds in line with the area so there is actually no added value for the design ... I suspect it will actually go for less as new owners would also need to budget for renovation.
