Also wondering why it's so quiet this year for both 7+ and 8+, we did 8+ today at KCS, how's everyone did?

user17304 · 07/10/2023 21:58

DS said 4 groups of 10 each in 8+

sherry778 · 01/11/2023 15:40

Only 14 boys will be admitted...such a low possibility...

simona28 · 01/11/2023 15:43

yeah 1 in 3 post interviews.

I was talking to a few parents at the Activity Day who seemed to be very plugged into the system/knowledge because their kids went to Squirrels.

Approximately 120 kids gave the written assessment for Kings 8+. So that seems to be the size of the pool this year.

sherry778 · 01/11/2023 15:56

So 1/3 left for each stage.. hoping to know DS's written ranking..,

simona28 · 01/11/2023 16:01

@sherry778 - did your son have the invite for activity day/interview as well? Yes, looks like 1 our of 3 at each stage is pretty standard for the top 3 schools in both 7+ and 8+

sherry778 · 01/11/2023 16:02

Yeah we have attended activities and waiting for the interview part next week... finger crossed...

simona28 · 01/11/2023 16:03

I did read somewhere here on mumsnet that King's gave the tier (0-25%/25-50%...) for kids in the 7+ stage. Hopefully they do the same for 8+ as well.
