7+ exams 2024

Anyone else prepping for the 7+ this year? We are trying to work out how many schools to do exams for. Live in SW London and thinking about SPJS, KCS, WUS and Latymer. Seems like a lot for a 6yo but my understanding is it's best to do a few as their performance on the day May really vary at that age.
What resources are everyone using?

Will keep fingers crossed. I think several of the kids must have offers from more than one school so hopefully people on the waiting lists will get places too

Does anyone know how dynamic the waitlist at Latymer is? And how many kids are on the waitlist on average? Thank you

@Annete Seems really hard to get any info on Latymer. I hope someone has any info. I don't even know if they over offer and by how many? Do they keep separate waiting lists for boys and girls? I am sure some kids will have offers from several schools.

The acceptance deadline for Latymer is Monday, the 5th Jan. I think there will be movement after this. We have just decided to give up our Latymer offer, so you know there is at least one place will be on offer. Good Luck!

Hi, does anybody know how many kids finally applied to Latymer this year?

Hi All! Has anyone on Latymer reserve list been contacted with an offer? Wondering what are the chances../

Not yet. I am guessing if today is the deadline for accepting, then they would contact waitlist if needed tomorrow?

Could be tomorrow… does anyone know how big is the reserve list? I assume it’s separate for boys and girls?

I am also guessing it's separate. Couldn't find any info on size of the reserve list, if it usually moves and if they usually over offer (which makes getting to the reserve list less likely). Hope someone comes along that knows.

I'm also guessing the reserve list is split by gender. DC is on the Latymer Prep reserve list and has two other offers with deadlines on 7 Feb. I called the office last Friday but they unfortunately didn't want to indicate position in the reserve list / size of the reserve list.

from just threads and responses on mumsnet there are at least 3 offers rejected but I guess it all depends on if the over offered and where our DCs are on the reserve list. We called last week and were told we would be contacted either way and they would know more after the deadline so was hoping to hear something today.

The deadline is tomorrow. We just declined an offer for UCS. Such a hard decision but hopefully the right one for us! Good luck to you!!

Has anyone got Latymer offer from waiting list?

Latymer mentioned the places have been filled up, so there is no plan to move to the reserved list so far...
I think they do have split reserved list for boys and girls. So it seems boys' list doesn't be used at all?

We received the same message from Latymer on Tuesday, so I assume no movement in the boys' list.

My friend has received the same email for her DD, which means there is no movement at all in both lists. very interesting!

did anyone ask for feedback about how their DC performed? I am thinking about calling and asking.

Considering tomorrow is the last day before half term, I think they probably will do something next term, as they mentioned in the email.
