7+ exam

Anybody taking the 7+ exam this year? I have noticed there isn't a thread on it this year. We are going to be trying for St Paul's and Kings. At the moment we are really struggling with the comprehension. Anybody else in the same boat?

Any clue on how much offer will be made for City boys, Highgate and habs? Did anyone DS sit for these?

Is anyone on here sitting WUS in January, looking for some tips for one of my friend.

@Lolakath19 Westminster exam was online due to covid last year and there was not writing part. Apart from that I also couldn’t get any information. If anyone give some tips / information about the exam from previous years that would be great.

@Surfermum40. Think city just started 7+ this year but will have both boys and girls. Heard they will give 75 offers

Have a look at Exampaperplus / Yellowbird websites for WUS exams. I think there 4-5 papers covering maths , English including comprehension + creative writing , verbal and non verbal reasoning. There is also good material on WUS website

Welcome tips from parents whose kids are sitting WUS as our DS is also going to sit WUS exams in January

@7PlusPP1234 Thank you very much for the information. I couldn’t find any material for 7+ on WUS website. As far as I know last two years there were no creative writing for 7+ exam so I am not sure if there will be a creative writing part this year. What do you think?

For those sitting WUS, what other schools did you apply to? What would you say the plus for WUS are compared to other schools like SPJ and Kings?

@puzzledmom city boys sent interview offers on Friday. They’ve called back on Jan 17th for interview.

We didn't get any updates with good or bad news; email from school suggests that they will email in any case. Will wait for another day or two but most likely unsuccessful I guess.

@7PlusPP1234 and @curiousma is wus your first choice? Did your ds sit any other school?

@Lolakath19 Are you asking this question for yourself or for your friend again? I am asking this question to you because every parents has different conditions to consider.
Is your DS taking WUS exam? Did he get any other offers? Could you please make your question a bit more clear ?

@curiousma We are done on our side :) we have not considered Westminster as location was not convenient. Spj kings and wus are very similar schools in my opining and always curious why people choose one from the other apart from location wise. I know it would make sense for our friend as they live close by and that would mean his son could walk there. But I don’t want to be nosy
