Only a few days left until we hear the outcome/offer for primary admissions (to reception). Anyone else finding the wait tricky?!

Good luck everyone. Paper application here so we won't find out for a few days (they send us a 2nd class letter tomorrow). Very annoying!!

I'm up with dd2 feeding and can't log on to ours 🙉 it's saying there is a server problem 😩 will have to wait several more hours for the ensil I guess 😂😂

It amazes me that some councils deliver the results at 5pm on a Friday when no staff available to talk things through.

Anyone got their Bucks results yet.... when I log in it says they are there and to press the school places button but there is no button on mine......a tense wait continues. Congrats to those who have their results already!

Still waiting here 🥴 it does say 8.30 & friends have said they stick too it .. another friend who is a head teacher of one of our 7 local schools says she’s oversubscribed this year which is unusual so that does not make me feel any better 🙈

I think they do it deliberately - results late on a Friday so that parents have a weekend to calm down if they don't get their choice of school rather than lots of irate phone calls on a Friday afternoon!

The pan-London system always goes at 5pm and that's for all London boroughs and Surrey.

It's deliberate. That way everyone gets a few hours to calm down before hitting the phones. Staff are not there to be abused.

@CornishTiger that is most likely the intention. I deal with the LA a lot for SEN reasons and can near enough guarantee bad news arrived 4-4.30pm on a Friday

First choice here. My heart was in my mouth as I logged on to the portal. So relieved and pleased!
The school reduced its intake this year so I was really nervous but we got her in Grin

Second choice here but still delighted.. our first choice was a gamble and we love second choice as well. The only thing really swung no.1 was it being easier to get too! My little one is thrilled as well.. thankgod it’s over 😂 Really hope everyone got what they wanted!

Second choice, but our first choice was really the only one we wanted, so very disappointed here! I’ve gone on the waiting list and appealed, when I called we were the first ones on the waiting list so everything crossed! No idea what to expect with processes now, this is our first time doing this.

Well done to everyone who got into their first choices/happy with the ones they got!

We got first choice here! 🎉 So pleased as it's the 'big school' attached to her preschool and it looks like a lot of her little classmates are moving up with her. Smile
She's our eldest child so hopefully it means we've got a good chance of sending our other children to the same school when the time comes too.
