3+ 4+ 5+ 7+ support thread 2018

In previous years I have started these threads to help and support all those involved in the independent school admissions process.

I wasn't going to start one this year as I know I would not be able to check back on it as regularly as I would like, which then defeats the purpose of the thread.

However, after numerous positive PM's about the threads I think it would be a shame not to start one where at least the hand holding can continue.

There are many many people who have been through the process and 'live to tell the tale' . There are also other tutors I know who read this thread and it would be great if you all could help and support and share your ideas👏🏼

So tomorrow is the choice between habs and NLCS- for us it would be habs but of course it would be good To hear views. Anyone got a child in either and have any views either way?

Our first daughter is older so didn't do the junior school but is senior school habs

Letters will be sent out tomorrow, meaning that they should arrive by Tuesday. To make it fair (with varying postage delivery ‘speeds’), I think that emails will be received on Tuesday morning to ensure that all hear, one way or another, on Tuesday.

We only get one post per day :( All the schools said results posted Monday - did I miss something ? Did nlcs and habs indicate email ?

@schoolmadness2016 nlcs will email on Tuesday - you will also receive post on Tuesday.

Habs website say they post on Monday- I’m not sure if they email or not -

@habsmummy how do we find out from habs on Monday if they only post on Monday ?

Jabs is post only. Thick envelope = good news.

@firnessfanatic108 I think I must be wrong. They said Monday to my friend but then also said 30th which I have just realised is Tuesday so they must have just said wrong day. Oh gosh another day to wait!

Somehow I wasn't receiving any alters when new messages posted on this thread hence responding late. @OnceUponATime10, we did 7+ at NlCS and when I asked review about round 1 she only founds 2 to 3 questions from sample paper. There where no clock's. Also we had done lots of questions from past exams. But nothing was similar to what was asked in NLCS. Was your DD called for round 2? There were 100 odd application and only 30 girls were called. Hope to see you in sep 2018. Desperately waiting for 'YES'. All the best for all you waiting.
