In previous years I have started these threads to help and support all those involved in the independent school admissions process.

I wasn't going to start one this year as I know I would not be able to check back on it as regularly as I would like, which then defeats the purpose of the thread.

However, after numerous positive PM's about the threads I think it would be a shame not to start one where at least the hand holding can continue. Flowers

There are many many people who have been through the process and 'live to tell the tale' . There are also other tutors I know who read this thread and it would be great if you all could help and support and share your ideas👏🏼

@Pianomum84 and @Frankwelker, Didn’t they say 14th of February? Was expecting the wait to end by this Wednesday. Has anyone called up and checked?

I honestly don’t know when they said! Can anyone confirm at all? The school is shut for half-term now so doubtful it will be this week....
I wish they’d let us know earlier rather than later just to arrange time off work if necessary

Arnold House is end of March. It's 5+ though.

We didn't get through unfortunately. Have no idea what to expect for round 2. From what the deputy said at round 1, 60 will be invited back so you have a 50:50 chance! Best of luck. Hope it all goes well

Round 2 is problem solving activities for the boys (rather than 3 'R's type academics. For parents there's the 'chat' with snr leadership

Thank you @Ma518, what domoroblem solving activities include? Puzzles? Construction? Sorry to sound a bit daft here, but what are the three Rs? Will he be in the same room as us? Is it a group activity?

mumteacher no longer tutors - she runs a nursery instead. I think she's done with these threads!

Yes I do now own and run a Nursery, however I do still tutor.
We’re away at the moment but will start a thread as soon as we’re back, panic not 😄
