Does anyone know if they release the email at midnight tonight or early tomorrow morning? I'm very excited/nervous!

It's the 18th here, my email for my DDs place last year was about 6am.

AndNowItIsSeven · 15/04/2017 16:56

It's Tuesday not Monday.

RyanStartedTheFire · 15/04/2017 16:57

Ah ground I was wondering if it was the same everywhere or different in different counties. Could make for an interesting Easter Sunday for some if they don't get the school of choice!

We are n Trafford and were told could log in at 12:01 tonight. However randomly everyone got letters today

RyanStartedTheFire · 15/04/2017 16:59

The national offer date for reception class places is Sunday 16 April 2017.
If you applied online you will receive an automatic email
If you submitted a paper application you will receive a letter in the post on Tuesday 18 April 2017 (due to the Easter Monday Bank Holiday)

From my council website. I applied online so was told I'd get an email on the 16th. Confused now.

It seems like each council does it's own thing then gobbo. Hope you got the place you were hoping for if you were waiting too.

We get an email after 4pm on tue 18th, am in Kent.

Gobbolinothewitchscat · 15/04/2017 17:02

We did, ryan. ThNk you. Hope you do too

Now hit a nail biting wait til Friday to find out if we've got a house we offered on

MrsBellefleur · 15/04/2017 17:03

I've got to wait until Tuesday to find ours out. Wish it was tomorrow!

Mummysh0rtlegs · 15/04/2017 17:04

I thought as it was 'national' offer day it was the same everywhere! I'm guessing the bank holiday has meant they can choose when to press the button. Ours is Tuesday.

PatriciaHolm · 15/04/2017 17:07

Primary offer day is set by the government as 16 April each year. On years where that falls on a weekend/holiday, that leaves councils with a decision on how to deal with it. Some just carry on with releasing emails on that day, others take the view that it's better to do it on the next working day. Hence the difference, despite "national" offer day!

RyanStartedTheFire · 15/04/2017 17:10

I thought the same Mummy, hence the thread! Obviously each council just makes their own thing up. I hope it is tomorrow now.

That makes sense Patricia I will try and ask locally instead.

Emails after 4pm tues 18th in Kent, we can log in after 5pm to view the offer.

Don't forget though, it can take several hours for the servers to process all the thousands of emails to be sent so although Send might be pressed at midnight, or midday, or 4pm for me, it might not arrive in your inbox for some time. Don't panic.

Good luck everyone.

NotInMyBackYard1 · 15/04/2017 17:47

In my experience I just logged into the online account and kept hitting refresh from about 2345 the day before! It was on there just before midnight.

RyanStartedTheFire · 15/04/2017 18:32

Not We don't have an online account, think it's just the email we get, hopefully the email comes at 23:45 for us too though!

Rat I'm in a very small county so fingers crossed it won't be too bad!

Arghh! This thread title made me jump out of my skin! I thought I must have got my dates wrong! But I've just checked and apparently my borough are slow-pokes and I won't hear anything until Tuesday evening.

Fingers crossed for everyone who finds out tomorrow.

RyanStartedTheFire · 15/04/2017 21:08

Apologies mrsfrumble! Best of luck for you on Tuesday too, I think it should be a blanket rule instead of whatever a council fancies.

tinypop4 · 15/04/2017 21:55

Ours is the 18th- no specific time given. Eek. Good luck if you are tomorrow

Ragdoll545 · 15/04/2017 22:02

This online account thing- is that for everywhere? I don't recall anything about an online account for primary school application! I got the confirmation email when I applied but I still have the fear I've done it wrong and my child won't get a school Grin

Mummysh0rtlegs · 15/04/2017 22:04

I have just worked out how to log in to my online portal, so I am ready to refresh from bedtime Monday.. the kids bedtime.

FruitCider · 15/04/2017 22:14

I've just checked my LAs website and it's Monday!

I've actually moved into catchment of FOUR schools so even if I don't get offered any of my preferences, I'm guessing I can change my address with admissions and go on waiting lists? 3/4 local schools were undersubscribed last year.

Booooohoooo · 15/04/2017 22:26

Fingers crossed everyone!

Ours is tonight/tomorrow Confused

Scared to death as getting anything other than first choice means I'll have to change working days/hours as no wrap around at the others gulp

SaDo12 · 15/04/2017 22:28

Am hoping and fingers crossed as well
