DD starts reception in Sept. Is very clear she doesn't want trousers. So have got:

3 x dresses
3 x polo shirts
2 x skirts
2 x jumpers
2 x cardigans
Lots of socks and tights
2 x pe shorts
2 x pe t shirts

Ah maybe not all schools. Ours have to change their shoes now. So they need a good pair for going to school, playtime etc., and a good pair for indoors. I don't want them in plimsoles so it costs me a fortune. I thought it was a Fife-wide thing.

Oh, it might be. Although I live in Fife , Ds goes to high school in Kinross which might explain why I haven't heard about it.

I've spent about £200 on nursery uniform for my twins. Luckily they wear the same uniform in Reception so I'm hoping the bigger tidy twin will be able to pass some jumpers down wishful thinker.

They have got

5 pairs of jogging bottoms each (2 pairs to stay in school as spare)
7 polo's each (two to stay in class as spare clothes) Bought 2 logo ones as needed for school trips and the rest are cheap asda ones.
2 Jumpers each plus one spare so 5 total (all logo at £14 each)
2 pairs of shoes each (one for spare incase of wee accidents)
Wellies (to stay in school)
Millions of socks.

10x£5 = £50
2x£10= £20
6x£2.50 = £15
5x£14 = £70
4x£5 = £20
2x£9 = £18
Socks = £10
Water bottles (must be school ones) = £2
Logo Book Bag = £15
= £212 for NURSERY

Luckily they don't need a new winter coat or that would be another £50.
And since they only go for 3 hours a day no PE kit needed either.

It will actually be cheaper once they are in Y1 and wearing normal uniform i can just buy from Tescos/Asda etc.

We just did the uniform shop in Sainsburys.

8 pairs jersey trousers - £8 for two = £32
9 polo shirts - £4.50 for 3 = £13.50
2 pairs shoes from Deichmann - £15 a pair, get one pair get another half price = £22.50
Socks from B&M - 5 for £2.49 = £4.98

Her cardigans from last year are fine and this year I'm not shelling out for pinafore dresses that never get worn. Will need to buy her a new coat, but since the last one lasted 2 years I will hopefully get similar wear from a new one. I may buy her new summer dresses if the weather is warm in September, otherwise I'll wait till Easter.

So... total spent, £72.98

This gives enough uniform for clean every day and allows us to be disorganised and be a few days late with the washing!
