So sorry for all in Bromley. I am there and the long wait last year was bad enough. Not hearing until tomorrow is beyond annoying.

IronMaggie · 16/04/2015 18:05

Yay! First place. It was on the website a while before the email came through. We're so pleased :)

longestlurkerever · 16/04/2015 18:21

Gosh the thread is a roller coaster. Sorry to those who are disappointed or who won't find out today. How cruel. Looks like Haringey catchments may not have been quite so silly this year. Most people I know got their first choices.

marryinhaste · 16/04/2015 18:25

Those in Bromley - log on to the eadmissions website. I did just before 6 and it was finally there. Good luck to all!

NormHonal · 16/04/2015 18:27

First choice (DC2 so sibling rule applied). Wine

WineWine for those waiting or who didn't get their first choice.

AJNH · 16/04/2015 18:42

Just got the email, glad to have gotten our first choice GrinGrin

JemFinch · 16/04/2015 18:46

Bromley up and running - first choiceGrinGrin

Good luck to anyone still waiting.

goandshowdaddy · 16/04/2015 18:46

I have inside info which may suggest that a place at our first choice school (which we didn't get) may have been taken by someone who put their (only) DC's Grandparents address. Do you think I should shop them? How do I go about it without getting caught out? My DS1 is already at the school so I face the problem of getting two DC to two different schools.

Minicooper · 16/04/2015 18:47

I'm in Surrey and just got first choice. But very confused as friend who is closer didn't get in. They can't take my place away once they've offered can they?!

First choice here.

Despite being last on the criteria & 9 miles away.

Thrilled beyond belief as it is the best educationally (we think) and hopefully will prepare DD for entrance to grammar.

It also has a strong sib link so DC2 and 3 can follow :)

needadognow · 16/04/2015 19:05

After last year of hell of not getting any of my 6 choices, my second child got his first choice place today (no surprise with the sibling rule) so I am pleased.

This time last year I was crying and feeling complete despair. At one point I had to look at a private school as the state school they gave me was 2 miles away and shit. Anyway luckily I went on waiting lists and low and behold one of my options came up and thank god, I love the school. Roll on September when I can ship them both off together! haha.

BooChunky · 16/04/2015 19:07

I'm stupidly upset now because none of DD's friends got into the school with her... They've all been at the school nursery together. I'm so happy she got in but ridiculously gutted that she won't really know anyone...

(Sad for myself at the school gate too if I'm honest!!)

Peanutstash10 · 16/04/2015 19:08

Don't worry boo I didn't know anyone either and my DD was surrounded by groups of children who had all gone to the school nursery together, but it didn't make any difference and she loves it and I soon found some friends. Smile

TheEndOfTheWorldAsIKnowIt · 16/04/2015 19:22

Thanks WHYBEHAPPY

longestlurkerever · 16/04/2015 19:22

boo I won't know anyone either. Dd will be moving from the school where she is at nursery. Worried about how she will take this (and how nursery will esp as dd2 will be going there in due course) but still pleased.

acegik · 16/04/2015 19:26

As parents you won't take them to secondary (if you do you will drop around the corner as it it not the done thing to have a parent present) and there won't be a school gate of mums. Join the pta, volunteer for events and you will soon meet other parents.

rednsparkley · 16/04/2015 19:28

1st (and only choice here) which I am very happy about - although this is for No4 and 1-3 are currently at the school so I would have been raging if No4 hadn't got in Grin

When No1 got this school I was far from pleased as it was not one of our three choices AND it is the Catholic primary which I didn't want. However, it has turned out to be a lovely school and my children could not be happier so not getting your choices needn't always be a disaster in my experience.

Gileswithachainsaw · 16/04/2015 19:28

God this is fab lots more good news for people.

It's getting to complicated to list all by name now so all newbies posting Congrats.

and of course condolences still to others in a nor so good situation. I've been there it's hard and I'm truly sorry. I hope waiting lists and appeals bring some resolutions.

MTWTFSS · 16/04/2015 19:53

I'm staying on this thread to offer hugs and support for those on waiting lists or in the process of appealing. It is a hard time but you are not alone! :)

In London. How strange, I received a text from eadmissions at 6.09 saying they'e sent me an email but no email here yet Confused. It's just transfer to juniors (at same school) so not an issue I shouldn't think, but still, where's the email!

SpaceKoala · 16/04/2015 20:03

London, first choice!!!
Over the moon
4 next ones I listed they wouldn't stand a chance as small and oversubscribed, last one if nearest and don't like it at all..
So well happy

Been stressing all day Smile

NormHonal · 16/04/2015 20:04

Eadmissions emails are starting to arrive, according to Facebook. Fingers crossed they come through soon.

englishbreakfast · 16/04/2015 20:05

Hurray, first choice here (Bromley)! Such relief! Grin

Itshouldntmatter · 16/04/2015 20:35

First choice (sibling so was essentially sure thing), but so glad to have it in writing. Good luck to the others waiting.
