Is anyone else dying to find out which school they have been allocated?

This is for my PFB which makes it extra difficult for me :(

I can't talk about it in real life as it starts off as a nice casual conversation ending with some delusions of grandeur PFB nonsense Blush

2 miles across country or 2 buses by road

mrz · 29/03/2015 10:26

Yes it's in the admission criteria which is why they were criticised because it's so unusual for a small rural school to include distance especially such a short distance.

Gileswithachainsaw · 29/03/2015 10:27

Morning MTWTFSS

kinda scary countdown has gone to days now.

ooh duelling that's interesting maybe you got a place???

mrz · 29/03/2015 10:33

Just checked the bus timetable it's a 49 minute journey duel

Noyoucantwatchpeppapig · 29/03/2015 10:40

Also awaiting the 16th quite nervously, complicated by the fact we moved house on 13th march so are late. After a small battle with the LA to accept our new address we are being considered on it now. Originally they wouldn't accept we had left previous address 20 miles away until we provided Child benefit letter (which we still haven't got) and council tax bill (which we have). They accepted out solicitors letter of completion in the end. Have applied for lovely local school where DD is now at nursery but realistically probably won't get in on offer day. We are very near school so hoping to be high up wait list and get in. Just keep wondering though Confused
Good luck everyone

DuelingFanjo · 30/03/2015 21:11

I would be happy with my third choice as it's the closes to my house and had quite a good report recently (after I put the application in) but I think the letter is just because I am on their system already from when I applied for a nursery place and then didn't take it up.

Less than 24 hours for me! ??

EmmandKids · 31/03/2015 09:17

I was just thinking 16 days??think they're going to drag though now. I aknow that most schools round here already have the list of who's been offered a place so why we have to wait another two weeks I don't know??

Gileswithachainsaw · 31/03/2015 09:39

Good luck brie

glad your wait is almost over.

16 days eeek. still so near yet so far.

MTWTFSS · 31/03/2015 10:49

I expect they need to have the info (The schools) for the easter break so they can do their planning etc? Telling parents now and then having no access to any of the schools and possibly the council departments would be hell for parents.

BrieAndChilli · 31/03/2015 10:55

Maybe that's the reason we do find out in the easter holidays!! There's been big hooha over admissions this year due to high sibling numbers and consultation to change sibling priority to below catchement from next year soaybe they want everyone to find out thier placeh em calm down a bit before they speak to the council!!

Gileswithachainsaw · 31/03/2015 11:00

I'm. Sure the first time round we found out around the holidays

Almostapril · 31/03/2015 11:43

It was in Easter hols last year as the 16th is always around then - but the LA admissions office is open ...
