And you are failing to acknowledge all of the non fiction events that are happening and have happened, as stated in my response above.

Sure, but in August 2025 which is when this thread was posted, right-wing agitators were trying to whip up panic about kids returning to school with a fake post about asylum seekers and old news about lockdowns. So people were responding to that specific concern that the mum in the OP was talking about.

If you're still trying to whip up panic to get kids to homeschool - why is that? Why did you search for this thread and resurrect it?

It’s interesting you claim to know what OP was referring to, when every response on this thread is people criticising and mocking her, and claiming to NOT know what she’s concerned about.

There is no need for me to whip up panic. Whether the news in August was fake or not, there are plenty of reasons to be concerned about children being in schools currently.

As for resurrecting this thread - I’d usually read and be on my merry way, I rarely get involved in online discussions, however I felt that OP deserved at least 1 supportive response to her extremely justified concerns.

There were five billion of these threads in August, all the same. Quite a few of them were deleted for disinformation, this one should have been too but MNHQ were very slow off the mark.

Well if that was the case then why was everyone who responded trying to make OP spell it out for them and gaslighting her by saying there has been no news bla bla bla.

She was obviously genuinely concerned for her children, came looking for some reassurance and was bombarded with mockery and gaslighting. Instead of constructive or helpful responses.
People making comments about her family living in a bunker, mocking her spelling, suggesting that she get some friends. All unnecessary.

yeah, perhaps other people have better bullshit detectors. The other multiple threads were also brand new posters who were concerned mums who had ‘heard stuff on social media’ but didn’t actually specify what it was because if they came onto MN saying ‘Tommy Robinson says asylum seekers are going to behead my children’ it would have been a bit too obvious.
