Hi everyone,

I recieved my pills today and took the first one around 12pm. I've felt physically fine, made no difference. I'm absolutely terrified of taking the next set tomorrow. I've barely slept the last few days. I have been reading alot online and while there has been some positive stories, alot of the horrific ones are on my mind. I know it is different for everyone but I'm so scared.
The trouble I have is I am doing it alone. I live at home and no one knows. I cannot tell my family at all. I'm struggling on deciding when to take the second set of pills to be honest. I'm not sure if I should take it during the day and just brave it and maybe pass it off as bad period pain or at night and just have more peace of mind that no one will worry. It's really quiet sad that's where my head is at. I am 5 weeks and 1 day. I have never been pregnant before and my period pain is usually quiet mild. I was given 2 codine tablets at 30g but I also have co-codamol at home. Should I start with co-codamol (8g codiene) to begin with and then hours later take the codiene if needed. Can I take ibuprofen with co-codamol. I'm so scared

Sunny yes it's normal to feel like that, early pregnancy symptoms can be rough.

QuidcoQueen · 20/05/2020 16:55

Sunnydays that's quite normal, all the hormonal things that are going on in your body right now. Flowers

BuffaloCauliflower · 20/05/2020 16:57

Hey OP, you’ll be fine. Sorry you’re having to deal with this. I had a miscarriage at the same gestation and honestly it was no worse physically than my usual mild and not very painful periods.

SunnyDays3 · 20/05/2020 17:01

Thanks girls I just feel so bad in myself! The stress of this prob isn’t helping either. Iv had one other pregnancy before and I never felt like this 😩 its awful x

Password17 · 20/05/2020 17:34

@SunnyDays3 thank you ❤ seem to be bleeding lightly now and i feel more relieved. Going to try and relax and maybe sleep

Password17 · 20/05/2020 19:00

@SunnyDays3 I am bleeding but seems veryyy light. Not sure if it's meant to be like this. Just want it over with. Pain isnt too bad cramps but I've taken pain relief and have a hot water bottle. Just dont understand bleeding level tbh but guess everyone different. Just want it to be successful

I had one at 5 weeks and 6 days. I've also had 2 kids. Please believe me when I tell you it is nowhere near like giving birth.

Did they send you codeine? I took codeine and then did the second lot of pills and it was honestly not that bad. I would say just make sure you take the painkillers just before you do the second set of pills so they had time to kick in.

Well done for sorting it out early - this early it really is just like period pain.

Lots of love to you - wish I could give you a cuddle x

Tonii1985 · 20/05/2020 19:06

Oh sorry - I missed most of this thread! Bit late!

SunnyDays3 · 20/05/2020 19:38

@Password17 is there a number you can ring just to check the bleeding is ok? Have u taken all 6 of the tablets now? X

Password17 · 20/05/2020 21:14

I've taken all 6. Yeh I have barely bled. I fell asleep for a bit and theres literally nothing on the pad. Sorry for TMI, seems like when I sit on the toilet some blood comes out. Yeh I need to call MS and will do asap

SunnyDays3 · 20/05/2020 21:27

Ok yeah def phone them for some advice to see what they say hun! Have u passed any clots or anything (sorry tmi) x

Password17 · 20/05/2020 21:49

They just said to wait 24 hours. I think right at the beginning I saw a tinyyy clot. Don't even know if it would call it that tbh I'm just so worried now. I didn't feel like they dissolved orally properly earlier so I really dont think it's working. I mean it's good that I started bleeding a bit I guess but I don't understand why it's so little/ basically stopped

Lozz22 · 20/05/2020 22:52

I had zero cramping with them. Although I had to take mine after a miscarriage so had being having contractions 5 weeks prior to taking them to flush the rest of the tissue out. Bleeding didn't increase but either way I took the tablets on the Thursday and by the Saturday night everything came out.

Playdonut · 20/05/2020 22:55

Any more blood? How are you feeling now? X

Password17 · 20/05/2020 22:56

@Lozz22 did u have little bleeding? It seems when I sit on the toilet I bleed a bit more but honestly almost nothing otherwise. I just want it over with. I dont want to have to go and get more pills etc this wait has been long and stressful enough

OP posts:
Password17 · 21/05/2020 02:08

I seemed to have passed a clot in the toilet I hoping that's it done now. Heads up TMI- it was dark in colour and dense. Was maybe around the of a 50p coin or just a bit bigger. I know some people mentioned seeing a sac and it being greyish but I didnt. I hope that's it passed? Still very little bleeding (when not on toilet theres more when I'm sat there for some reason). I initially took pain relief when taking the second set of pills earlier and havent taken anything since and tbh it does just feel like a period. I'm hoping that this is the process and everything is okay I'm just worried by the lack of blood.

Winnie20 · 21/05/2020 08:18

How are you feeling this morning? X

Password17 · 21/05/2020 08:29

I've pretty much stopped bleeding completely from around last night. I think I've had like 3 clots maybe (all only while on the toilet). On the whole barely had any blood on pads, yesterday I had stomach cramps but now I dont feel any pain at all really. All very worrying. I called MS and spoke to a nurse and she said to wait another 24 hours and see.

myhandsareverycold · 21/05/2020 08:33

Good luck OP. I've read the whole thread and really didn't want to read and run.

QuidcoQueen · 21/05/2020 09:12

That sounds positive. Hopefully you're over the main part now.

Password17 · 21/05/2020 10:11

@QuidcoQueen really do u think? Worried cos even when I bled wasnt as heavy as my period

OP posts:
Lozz22 · 21/05/2020 11:02

@Password17 no just the bleeding I was already having from my miscarriage. I'd had a huge bleed a few days after they'd told me I was losing my Baby and passed lots of big clots so I just assumed everything had come out then but my pregnancy tests were still showing positive a few weeks later and a scan a week or so after that was when they found I still had around 15mm of tissue still left inside me. They did advice me not to go to work the day of taking my tablets but I said it wasn't fair on my service users so went back on the understanding that if I needed to go home I would

BuffaloCauliflower · 21/05/2020 11:26

@Password17 that sounds fine for the level of gestation. When I miscarried it really wasn’t much. It’s only much more later in pregnancy when more placenta and things have built up, this sounds the right amount to me.
