Has anyone taken the abortion pill and could give me some details on how it went for you ? I have an appointment booked in and am scared of the pain /what I will go through and see and how long the whole process could take also they said I have an all day appointment including consultation scan etc , I will be about 7/8 weeks when I go for appointment, thanks x

It is very hard to go through but you will be ok x I know the emotions are very hard to come to terms with for me when I look at my dc I feel guilty, but keep track of your reasons for making this decision and you will get through it xx

I was due back in work today but have decided to phone in sick as I’m still in quite a lot of pain, is it normal for the clotting etc to still be happening and the cramps? I’m not soaking through pads but when I go to the toilet it’s quite a lot, sorry tmi I know but thought I’d check on here first rather than ring the centre I used x

Yes it is normal, mine lasted a couple of weeks but I was 8 weeks x take painkillers if your not soaking through pads I wouldn't worry and get some rest, if you think it's too much ring them X

Hello, it’s been 15 days now since my abortion was complete however I heavily bled for around a week, then I’ve been spotting every since and this morning I’ve woken up heavily bleeding again. Is this normal? I don’t have any type of period pain which usually if it was my period I would know about it as my periods are really severe. Thank you x

Hi , I wouldn't worry it's prob just your period or unsettled bleeding still from the pills , it might take a couple of months to regulate again where your hormones are all over the place x if your worried you could call up I went for a rescan to check it had all passed properly x

Thank you I’ll see how it is over the next few days, I did the at home test they sent with the package and that said the process had worked so perhaps it is just my period starting 🤷🏼‍♀️ I’ll give them a call in a few days if it’s still the same. Thank you so much xx

Oh good I forgot about the test thing , I think that may have been why I went back to check it wasn't clear or something? I'm sure you'll be ok and hopefully it settles down for you soon x hope your feeling ok emotionally x

can anyone help? clinic said to take second tablets after 48 hours but others are saying a day after is fine? I have to work tomorrow now and have no way of getting out of it so hoping i can take today?

Hi @elaine31xx could you call the clinic and ask them? Mine was with the gp and I done the second set the next evening 24 hours later x

Hi I did and took them tonight. Feeling OK passed about 4-5 clots not bleeding a huge amount. Is this normal?xx

Hi...I have read all your stories and am grateful that there is a positive side to medical pills apart from the horror stories I read online.....am expecting to have one not really sure how far long I am but am expecting 6/ 7 weeks or 7 weeks after my LMP going to 8 weeks..... apart from painkillers and hot water bottles is there anything I can do to lower the pain?

Hey @Pinky96 have you received your pills yet?
I had my last two Friday afternoon and it took me 20 hours to start actually bleeding. Had light blood when I wiped after about 10 hours and thought it hadn’t worked but seems to have kicked in now. They should send you some codeine in the pack xx

Hi ladies,

I know this is a fairly old thread but I’m in this current position.
I inserted the 4 pills about 2 and a half hours ago and have had a bit of back pain and stomach cramp but no bleeding as of yet. How long did it take for all of yours to start? I’m worried I didn’t put them in far enough but it felt like it should be ok (TMI sorry!)
I have family visiting for my birthday tomorrow and concerned it’ll all kick off when they arrive!

Hi there, thanks for replying! It started pretty much as soon as I posted that comment. A lot came out over the following few hours until midnight when I fell asleep, woke up a few times in the night to wee and have had bleeding a fair bit today when going to the toilet and a bit in the pads.
Did anyone find bleeding less in pads and heavier in the toilet? I feel absolutely wiped out after family visiting so going to rest for the next few days and take some time off of work. How long did it take for people’s energy levels to feel normal again?

How many weeks were you? You definitely will be exhausted take some time to rest and let yourself recover, it took me a few weeks hope your ok X

6 weeks+1. How many were you? I usually take vitamin C & D daily but forgot to ask the doctor if I still could. Did you take any? Xx

Hello ladies,
This thread has been incredibly comforting to me over this last week. I have been reading it over and over.
I had my termination (the later pills) on Tuesday morning. I was 5 weeks. I took the pills and had minor cramps and bleeding. I have only passed blood on the toilet. I haven’t soaked any pads but there has been a lot that passed with small clots which I am assuming is because I was so early.
I was expecting to be filling pads but I haven’t. I find this with my periods also. I only pass blood on the loo.
On weds I felt fine. Still passing blood on the loo but no cramps. Yday the same but today I have mild cramps like period pains again and the same amount of blood. I feel like I’ve got away with this lightly because I was expecting to be in great pain flooding pads.
Does this seem normal? X

@Jjj82 how are you doing now? Maybe as you were so early it wasnt so much bleeding as you expected, I was 8 weeks and I had heavy bleeding and clots for a few weeks but if your unsure of anything ring your doctor to check X

Same today really. I’ve been on my feet all day and I’ve got some slight cramps but nothing to major. I think this must just be the way I’ve had it. I’ve spoken with ms and they say it’s normal.
