Medical abortion

Has anyone taken the abortion pill and could give me some details on how it went for you ? I have an appointment booked in and am scared of the pain /what I will go through and see and how long the whole process could take also they said I have an all day appointment including consultation scan etc , I will be about 7/8 weeks when I go for appointment, thanks x

Oh that's brilliant you feeling sure and in control x yes just try keep busy it's all gonna be sorted and they will take all the rest of steps out of your hands now you don't have to make anymore decisions now you'll just be told what to do now ( in a nice way I mean x ) reminded me a bit of having your mum just do stuff for you when you was younger and just deal with it as it comes now xx I'm ok , I don't even think of it now my life has taken another unexpected turn so it was even more for the better x

Glad you made the right decision for yourself. Im glad theres no more decisions. Yeah I know what to expect I think as took the pills when I had a missed miscarriage at 14 weeks so cant be no worse than that. I'm worried someone I know will see me but hopefully everyone will be at home with Corona and staff will have to respect confidentiality surely x

Yes exactly it will never be worse than that x and if you see anyone they will be in same situation probably, I saw no one I knew where I went xxx

Septsapp it’s okay. There is nothing for you to worry about. I had an abortion a few weeks ago and I was 5 weeks and about 2 days. When I found out I was pregnant I was at college and at the time my boyfriend and I wasn’t on good terms but hey knowing your pregnant it’s something you have to tell your partner. I told him and he was acting all stupid. He asked me what I wanted to do and I told him and I asked him for money to help me get the medical abortion done unfortunately he said he was broke which he wasn’t and he wanted me to borrow the money. So I did what I had to do and paid for the abortion. The doctor was supportive and let me took two pills in front of him and then he inserted 4 inside of me and said to just go home put a pad on and relax. My boyfriend at the time didn’t even know if I was still having the procedure done as he didnt check in. So after about 2 hours I started bleeding but it wasn’t heaving then in the middle of the night around 11pm I was bleeding heavily and had diarrhea. By midnight I went back to pee and I saw thick clots coming out and then felt something thick but not painful coming out from inside of me so I looked while it was coming down and it was like a sac and fell boom in the toilet and at that time I knew it was the pregnancy. After that I was still bleeding heavily and something thick like the placenta on the pad. I was bleeding for a week heavily then the rest of days it was spotting. My breast are no longer sore and I feel them most times to check. I didn’t do a follow up at the doctor since it’s the corona virus lock down. I know I feel healthy because am taking vitamins and eating healthy. The only thing am waiting on is my period to arrive back again.

So I had a positive pregnancy test today and now can’t get through to the clinic ... help?!

Mine was positive still a couple weeks ago , I went to the clinic for an internal scan it can take like 6 weeks for hormones to fade , did you do the special test they gave you ?

I had a faint line on it so I did normal tests and they were positive for ages , so I got appointment and all was clear

Hi I’m 6weeks and 4 days I took the first tablet yesterday and was told to take the next lot today at 11.30am I’m really scared as read so many horror stories. Can someone please reassure me. I’ve been vomiting since last night and feel so unwell. Is it best to take paracetamol before I take the next lot of tablets. I wish I chose surgical but due to the covid there only giving out medical pill.

You will be fine ! Take them I will check back and sit through it with you xx take some paracetamol when you do the tablets get a hot water bottle ready lie on a towel and wear a big pad , it may prob take a couple of hours to start bleeding after you take pills xxx ♥️♥️ there's been a few of us on this thread that didn't have the horror story we were expecting xx big hugs

Is had a whole week or so of being so ill I couldn't get up due to preg sickness it all went as soon as the bleeding started so hopefully yours will too x I also took my pills a couple hours early if you want to get it out the way sooner and it all worked fine xx

Thank you so much I’ve been suffering with bad order sickness too and haven’t really eaten in a few days as can’t keep anything down. I have co coda op is that okay to take? So scared x

Yeah they gave me 30% codeine in clinic to take home and take so co codamol is fine , I think it's more worry before you start bleeding as anticipating what is going to happen but once it starts I think it's less worrying if that makes sense x

The clinic didn’t give me any painkillers. Yes I think it’s the not knowing what to expect is the scary part. Im going to take the co codamol at 10.30 then the pills at 11.30. Thank you hun x

I’ve just inserted the tablets, I’ve took the co codamol also. Never been so scared in my life. I just hope it’s not as bad as I expected.

You will be ok , will be over before dinner time, just think that x I started shaking from nerves when I took them but once it started I was ok , after couple hours of you feel like about to leak like when you have heavy period just go and sit on the loo while the most comes out I think I sat there on and off for couple hours it didn't hurt just felt a bit weird xxx

@watermelonpink1cramping started almost straight away I’ve been pouring like a tap. I’m just laying down. No clots or lumps as yet. Xx

That's good no cramps I read they came before bleeding in most people's ! So you might not get any fingers crossed , have you tried sitting upright on the loo might have a bit come out sorry if TMI x

@watermelonpink1had lots of bleeding when laying down like pouring out, went toilet and lots of clots. Is it meant to be heavy bleeding and will it calm down? When I go toilet I wanted to vomit then clots fell out sorry tmi. Still feeling sick but it’s subsided a bit xx

Hi , yeah meant to be heaviest around now it will subside in couple hours at most , yes clots just don't look and flush xxx any pain or still ok ? XX

My sickness disappeared within an hour ish too around this time x take some sips of water x

I have medical abortion tablets to take and im petrified of taking tablets i cant bring myself to take the 1st one how was it ?

Have you taken yet ? Read back some of the responses on here it's really not that bad , I think it's more the anxiety of taking them , once you start it you will prob feel w bit better , just have some pills to hand a hot water bottle , and some pads and maybe a towel to lay on the bed in case you leak a bit xx

No i havent taken yet i just have a phonia of taking tablets and ive woken up with morning sickness great so i need to take the first lot in a minute and the 4 tmro morning im just so scared and i dont know why becauae ive had 2 children natrually before x
