I would just like to second mrsb's idea of the Greek Islands.

BonzoDoodah · 08/07/2009 12:07

seconding the Greek Islands "and Wot Dawn said" ...

jeanjeannie · 08/07/2009 12:28

Yeah - Greek islands for me too....I think a nice, gentle Saga holiday...we need the rest

dawntigga HOW MUCH for swimming??!! Blimey, you need my Polish MIL - free and hard-core! She chucks them in with relish! Iris can now jump in and swim away I think it's the Eastern Euro thing - they probably fling 'em all in icy lakes for the hell of it!

erm good feeding/sleeping, Arthur is clearly a clever boy.

mrsB I too am laughing and sadly nodding at your mundane life description. As I was musing the other day - I love my girls dearly but GOD I get SO BORED!

jw You've probably got our 'mundane malaise' alongside all your other crap Yay! to the powers of the wooden spoon. There must be something to it...otherwise K wouldn't look so serene while she's holding it. I think you should give it a try,,,,hold it for a few seconds....see if its power seeps through. Ok , now I'm been all dawntigga and randam

johnworf · 08/07/2009 12:54

Yeah that being at home malaise really mashes your head in doesn't it?

Great. I'll book us a villa on the island of Lesbos and hope that the name doesn't rub off (ooooh matron!). It's this or Butlins in Skegness

Wednesday shameful admission: I've eaten nearly all of the delish lemon drizzle cake that floria brought me y'day I need a shoehorn to get my jeans on!

JJ throwing kids in icey lakes? Is that legal

OP posts:
jeanjeannie · 08/07/2009 13:04

Legal? jw....MMMmmm, doubtful but you see I feel that many of the girls' relations are probably a little akin to Borat and the likes! I think they all trip into lakes and learn to swim whilst chasing chickens - or something of that ilk.

Lemon drizzle... Oh well, I can make you feel a bit better - I've just had last night's left overs....a full meal..I'm stuffed and NO, it wasn't healthy.

Iris has gone to bed and Verity is now wailing...these girls just aren't in sync....so annoying as I've got to cook again!

jeanjeannie · 08/07/2009 13:06

Just checked Iris's FB page...it's a GIRL!!! NIAMH ALEXANDRA...Awwwwww, Awwwwwww ....Sorry, must stop FB stalking

johnworf · 08/07/2009 13:13

oooh I must go and have a look at FB!

OP posts:
johnworf · 08/07/2009 13:17

Just left her a message on FB

I wonder if she had her on my b'day???? OOOh that would be so excellent if she did

OP posts:
johnworf · 08/07/2009 13:18

JJ so the girls run around barefoot and appear at the back door with little blackened faces asking for crusts? Awww. How sweet

Which reminds me....social services are acoming soon. Better go and comb the dog or something.

ermintrude13 · 08/07/2009 14:58

Hooray Iris and welcome to Niamh - glad you haven't gone for an anglicised spelling. Hope all is well and that you're enjoying the first few days

mrsboogie · 08/07/2009 16:24

/boss related frustration:

Aaaaaaarggggggghhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh

that is all

duchesse · 08/07/2009 17:35

It helps to let these things out, MrsB.

jeanjeannie · 08/07/2009 17:36

You let it all out mrsb !!!

Just been out - am knackered. The girls are in a really odd mood, Verity just keeps whining for no reason..

Waiting for Waitrose delivery now...we've been swayed by their free delivery and very nice produce. Really I'm waiting for the super doopa humungous Sainsbury to open....I'm a bit of a fan. Now that'll be a day out for me - it's almost the size of Costco and there's bound to be lemon drizzle in there!

hedgepig · 08/07/2009 17:44

you're obviously having a good day then MrsB !!

Iris well done my dear, CONGRATULATIONS

JW I hope you feel better soon. One thing I did wonder has DH changed his behaviour recently or has he always been like this and your tolerance has got less?

I've had a nice day today met a friend from work for lunch (without going near work woppeee) and caught up on all the gossip. B is at a friends to play so I best go and pick him up.

johnworf · 08/07/2009 17:48

mrsb Is there something in the air today?

jj Isn't the old joke something along the lines of...

"Why do they have Sainsbury's? To keep the scum out of Waitrose!" Not a joke that I made up I might add.

Is V getting more toothy pegs perchance?

Some of my super lush, delish, nappies arrived today. Oh they are lovely

hedgepig thanks for asking. He's always been pretty much as is. One thing he is: consistent.

Sounds like a nice day. Any day is nice when it involves a good lunch and juicy gossip!

I've just had a medicinal Magnum. I've half eaten the wooden stick too as the chocolate was ingrained.

I just sent you a request tooo.

Neddie · 08/07/2009 18:53

Hi all
Still alive (though I appear to be testing how far a belly can expand before popping!).It was birthday on Sunday and then a bit tired and not able to sleep. I have just caught up on the reams of posts and spent so much time doing this that my cankles are the size of an elephant's. When I get my holiday place sorted you may all come for a getaway with riding and waterskiing/kayaking optional but lemon drizzle cake and Marques de Cacares Rioja compulsory!
Tee I hurled 'mega brains' child off the changing mat at 3 weeks old by accident and she's fine - maybe that's what caused the intelligence gene to switch on! I was put on a register though as a precaution in case I made a habit of it!
JW sorry you are down- we crabs are emotional people at the best of times let alone when we have gone through a lot of stress. Hope you feel better soon- I send healing hug over the ether..........
Can type anymore as now swollen to Zeppelin level.

Neddie · 08/07/2009 18:55

Ps Congratulations Iris!!!! Well done look forward to hearing all about her.. 8 weeks to go and counting for me.
