ermintrude13 · 30/06/2009 18:58

Gosh, they're small but demanding, these new babies, innit?

JW and others - thanks for compliments about my elastic Lady's Chamber. You said someone could park a truck up there without you noticing; I'm hiring mine out for tank park salutes.

JJ What a nasty thing to find out - no wonder you're upset, even though you know they're clearly not worth any upset. Small consolation, but there will be some of them who know what they're doing and feel ashamed, but aren't strong enough to stand up to the others.

I've uploaded a couple of pics of Arthur. Gottago, hi all /frantic waving.

Tee2072 · 30/06/2009 19:01

He's beautiful! And has the same hair as Adam! And the same first two initials!

heron22 · 30/06/2009 19:03

ah ladies, my period has arrived. first one since LO was born! would that make my breast milk prod stop altogether?

jj ignore those bitches! hate people like them! so what if iris is not yet potty trained? my DS1 who is 5 is not dry at night! and some mums look at me funny like it is my fault! thing is, he is such a deep sleeper and just does not wake up when he needs to go. doc says to leave it and not worry.

ermintrude13 · 30/06/2009 19:13

PS: I know DS looks like he's been on holiday without us or is the result of an illicit affair with a Greek waiter, but honestlym DH also tans easily, while DD and I are Celtic palefaces and thus far Arthur looks similar...

iris66 · 30/06/2009 19:20

ermintrude - what gorgeous boys you have - all of them! Arthur looks an absolute darling am not going to look any more I'm getting new baby

johnworf · 30/06/2009 19:21

Awww ermintrude he's beautiful! So are your other 2 older ones. Look so angelic with their little clean, smiley faces.

Just chuckling at your bucket fanny...now wait. Wait! I never actually said that...just thought it All in the best possible taste of course.

Yeah tee and the rest of my public. You can all tell your OH's tonight who will look on unimpressed. Rightly so

Madam is doing the throw herself around game again. It's wearing a bit thin now. I'm actually looking forward to going to Tesco later on just to have a bit of time on my own (only other time is when I go to the loo and that isn't guaranteed). Sad eh?

Now it's come around to going out time this weekend I'm not sure I can do it. I feel I might need some councilling or at least some rehabilitation. Actually it's more like apathy. It's all the blummin' organising I'm going to have to do beforehand. Kinda spoils the ambience when you're face down in the soup due to exhaustion.

meant to add -

heron - no idea about periods as mine have always come back about 2 weeks after lochia stops I'd figure that there's probably a hormone link though

dawntigga · 30/06/2009 19:47

erm How gorgeous are your dc's????

Thems good genes you have there!

dxx

hedgepig · 30/06/2009 20:34

Ermintrude he is so sweet ahhhh, and so are your other DCs. So what do they think of their little bro?

mrsboogie · 30/06/2009 21:30

evenin' all

Just got the little man into bed. Has been nerve frazzling here as OH's dad was round for 2 hrs helping with errant washing machine connection and D was throwing himself round the place like a loon and I couldn't get him in the bath or a cup of tea until it was sorted and now I am slumped on the sofa and we've not had tea yet.

ermintrude gorgeous big bouncing boy and two very sweet older ones

jw ooohh mrs, very impressed with your new taking head status. You have your foot in the door of the meeja world now!

/is most impressed.

jj you're probably so over the bitchy happenings by now but I have to say it sounds totally like jealousy. Perhaps you weren't bitchy enough for them.

Am I the only one who doesn't get their LO weighed?? D hasn't been weighed since he was 4 weeks old. I don't see the point.

mrsboogie · 30/06/2009 21:32

ah bugger, I knew I would forget something - good news re K's eyes jw!!

jeanjeannie · 30/06/2009 21:38

Awwwww erm what a fab bunch you've got there. They both look very pleased with their new brother Your DS has got that very enviable tanned skin with the blonde locks...grrrr! Cor - arthur's got more hair than Verity! They do take up time don't they. And to think I thought before having DC that'd it'd be a bit like looking after the cat ...

heron my periods came back on month 6 and it didn't interfere with milk supply although I had cut down a heck of a lot on night feeds by then....and someone did tell me that in a lot of women that it's linked to the drop in night feeding.

jw where are you off to at the weekend?? Sorry, I've probably not kept up - bad JJ - bad.

The girls are so restless...Verity has literally just gone to bed...face full of squashed loganberries from a friend's tree! Looks like paint all over her....bad JJ - BAD

johnworf · 30/06/2009 21:40

mrsb D sounds like he's doing what K has been doing. I think it's the hotness. They just don't know what to do with themselves. She calms down after a bath though. I normally only bathe her twice a week due to her eczema but this week I have done her every night.

Dunno about talking head more like gob on legs

I'm now living on Magnums. It's a new diet I found in Heat magazine. As if.

OP posts:
hedgepig · 30/06/2009 21:45

woppee DH is back with my Tampax (I ran out, isn't he lovely).

MrsB forgot to say boo to the swine flu, my boss got sent home last week cos her neighbours child had it (I think that is stretching the connection a bit far).

hopefully he bought cake too or at least and ice lolly

johnworf · 30/06/2009 21:45

JJ you've not missed anything about me going out......we are having a meal out on Saturday for my impending b'day next week. I was thinking of somewhere local...like very local. Say 5 minutes away in the car. So it's either local curry house or local Italian. I've plumped for Italian. It's first night out together for me and DH since K came home........however, if this heat keeps up and she won't settle then I won't leave her. I know if she wakes up to big sister and big brother, she'll scream the place down for either myself or her daddy. I won't relax anyway while I'm out........and reading back what I've just typed, looks like I've already talked myself out of a night out

Bah!

I hear in the world of sleb that loganberry is the new black Iris strides ahead of trend once more.............

OP posts:
johnworf · 30/06/2009 21:49

hedgepig you know it's true love when your man brings you gifts of Tampax.

DH mentioned today that my present he ordered........yes ORDERED! still hasn't arrived yet. I'm putting money on;

a) pipe rack
b) new hedge trimmers
c) something for the kitchen
d) clothes in the wrong size

You never know hedgepig he might have also bought me a box of Tampax!

OP posts:
Tee2072 · 30/06/2009 21:53

Evening all.

I'm a little nervous as my mum is taking the overnight shift with Adam. The plan is so that DH and I can get one decent nights sleep before she heads home on Saturday. But I think I will probably not sleep without him in the amby beside me, and in the amby beside her instead! But I'll do my best!!

Still pretty hot here. But suppose to cool off over the next few days.

Ahh, love, hedgepig.

JW It does sound like you've talked yourself out of it. Take away instead, then? I hope DH buys you something nice.

I'm going to settle my little man soon and head to bed myself, so night all!!

jeanjeannie · 30/06/2009 21:59

Hahahah jw I read "Somewhere local" as 'Sainsburys Local'... Oh it's the heat...
It's you birthday next week eh. SO many of my friends are in the next couple of weeks. I'm surrounded by all these Cancerians; crabby little blighters

hedegpig your DH is some guy.

Bed - night night

hedgepig · 30/06/2009 22:00

JW i think this guy needs your ebay advice on taking a good picture!!!!! here

Tee try to relax and grab all the sleep you can.

johnworf · 30/06/2009 22:11

Hahahahaha hedgepig WTF is he selling? You need binoculars to see it as it's that far in the distance - almost on the horizon. Excellent!

tee hope you get a good night's sleep before you mum leaves. In a weeks time you'll be wishing she was back with you, taking A and letting you sleep

JJ loads of us crabs on here. Although hedgepig seems very calm in comparison to myself. Praps she's hiding it well. I'm a very typical cancerian; hard shell, mushy inside, snap your bollocks off if you cross me ...apparently. What you say hedgepig? You the same?

Night to the ladies off up the wooden hill to bedfordshire. Have a good one. I'm still pottering for a bit...washing etc.

OP posts:
hedgepig · 30/06/2009 22:25

I'm just the mushy bit I'm afraid no hard shell here, I blab at the drop of a hat. Bed for me too.
The washing machine is making a nasty noise, you know the sort of nise that it makes before it breaks down

FloriaTosca · 01/07/2009 00:13

Ermintrude Congratulations!!!! Arthur is absolutely gorgeous...as are his siblings. Well done you (10lb!!!)

JJ the other have said it all ....you wouldnt want your lovely Iris associating with the children of people like that anyway.

Tee ...21 months here now and he has only slept through twice....

JW thrilled K doesnt need glasses yet

....crikey look at the time...Alex has hardly napped at all today and had me up Ievery 2 hours through last night(what joy) and the civil engineers have finally started on the garden (it looks like the Somme now...mud and trenches everywhere)and arrive at the civilised hour of 7.15am...I need sleep
Hi to everyone I havent already mentioned

Tee2072 · 01/07/2009 07:28

Good morning all!

I slept for 6 HOURS!! Adam slept from midnight to 5 am under my mum's care. Poor mum didn't sleep at all because she had a fibromyalgia attack last night. She's fine, just really tired and I've sent her off to try to get some sleep.

Then Adam had a bottle at 5...and threw it up in his Amby. So glad I bought the extra mattress and cover for it!

Feels like its going to be another hot one today. Hope everyone stays cool!

johnworf · 01/07/2009 08:21

Morning all.

Wow tee you're doing fab with your little lad. He's a superstar. Ouch @ your mum. Hope she's feeling better today.

floria great that they've started on the garden. Bad at 7.15 and even worse the week that your DH has gone away. You're left manning the helm. Still, will look brilliant once they've done the work

I knew there was nothing wrong with K's eyes. She can spot a crumb on the floor at 10 paces. Often she does Can't complain though and it's a good sign all round. So glad that she didn't need specs as I never would have got them to stay on her face anyway...she spends much of her time trying to yank mine off my face!

We're off to softplay this morning. Nice little group and we'll see what happens. The jury is still out with K whether she likes all the new faces/noise yet.

Afternoon is joyous with booster jab and MMR - one for each leg. I shall be glad when they are over and done with.

Hope you ladies are keeping cool in the hot weather

OP posts:
jeanjeannie · 01/07/2009 08:29

Morning all.

tee cor Adam is a top lad - sleeping all that time in this heat. Oh your poor mum - that's nasty. Make sure she takes it easy today.

floria WOW - civil engineers..? What an earth are you having done???? I SO wish ours was finished....started in Feb and still can't go out there DP has booked two weeks inbetween jobs in Aug to finish it off completely ...can't wait. Blimey 7.15 is evil but it sounds all very exciting.

jw Oooo - good luck with the MMR. Just remember that it's often 10 days after the jab that they feel rough - so if that happens it may just be linked. Enjoy soft play.

We're off to see a friend in Oxford...pre-baby mate. She's got a little one now (record speed birth lady!) So that'll take up most of the day.

Keep cool ya'll!
