TMI but farts entering vagina

When I farted before it bubbled up into my vagina, being 19 weeks pregnant I worry is this like being blown into wilst having oral sex. I know it is dangerous but it this different as it wasn't forced in? Even though it was rather alot of wind!

i found this thread through a search engine that's why i'm here even though i've never been pregnant.

for the first 19 years of my life, this never happened to me. then after the first time i had sex almost all flatulence comes out the front. it has worried me that since the air is methane with some yucky particles in it that it might be giving me infections but whenever i try to talk to a doctor about it they seem to think that it's not possible. i try not to worry about it but when it happens it often irritates the area and it seems strange that it happens this way almost every time especially since this seems to be mostly a pregnancy problem

Farts can slide into vagina, which may cause bacteria vaginosus or urinary tract infections.
This can happen if you are pregnant or not.

I have done a "fanny fart" after sex in an awkward position. I was mortified... OH found it hilarious... But haven't ever done one since... I think its due to air being trapped up there and it pushes itself out!

I hope this doesn't happen again as it is absolutely mortifying... Unless you haven't experienced this, then you would have no idea what its like. But at the end of the day, it happens so sod it! It hasn't caused me any damage, so its more than likely harmless!

I remember a thread on here about a lady who walked in on a couple having sex in the post natal ward bathroom... so just hours after the lady in question had delivered the baby!
and re. the farts, I got that too after having DS with forceps. It's gone away now so hopefully yours will too. think it's pelvic floor and episiotomy related.

WifeOfGeek I know what you mean, it happens to me occasionally but I don't think it's dangerous like blowing directly up the vagina, and yes it IS dangerous to blow air directly up the vagina so do your research before being horrible.

The whole point for some women in forums like this is to be able to ask questions without being mocked and judged, you should all be ashamed of yourselves.

Im 17 weeks pregnant and I know exactly what you mean as I have been doin the same this last week, dont think its going to do any harm tho, but yes if air gets blown up there during oral it is dangerous whilst pregnant, not sure about afterwards but who in their right mind would wana be doing oral down there for a while after we have given birth lol

I'm soo glad I found this I know it's old.
But I was googling to check that I wasn't a freak and fm found it.
Delighed to see I'm not alone.
It happens to me a lot since I had my daughter who is 16months!!!
Usually when I'm in bed lying on my side & fart the air gets trapped and as someone said it's a full feeling which needs to be pushed out!!!

She didn't say she was being blown into while having oral sex. It's dangerous while pregnant because the air could rupture the sack and harm the baby. Also it's very hard to explain but the fart will literally come out in a bubble thing and go up there. It's weird. If it's just air then how do you make soap bubbles? How do those bubble up. Those are just air. It's the same thing

I too have been cursed by a Fanny fart.. The sensation is strange it bubbles out of the bum and the bubble travels along your nanna split and pops out of your foo.. It feels nice Hahahahaha this post is amazing
