I am 32 weeks pregnant. I have SPD. I have a Bartholin's cyst (growing bigger by the day!). I can't sleep for SPD pain / compressed bladder/anxiety dreams about impending birth (VBAC or elective c0section? Still can't decide!)

And to cap it all off, I have now developed haemorrhoids
(sp?) of epic proportions. Ouch. Ouch. Ouch.

Feel free to join me in a BIG, FAT WHINGE.

Hi guys, thanks for your replies. Went back to the hospital today as pain was so bad. Another possibility is that it could be a hernia - not good . No treatment for it - just rest which is bad news as pain is pretty constant now. Can't work, sit up, walk or anything. And I'm only 25 weeks pregnant and this pain could stay with me until I give birth.....how depressing! My work have been great but not sure how understanding they will be if I can't go in at all for weeks and weeks. Baby is fine which is wonderful news but next 15 weeks are going to be very tough if this pain stays with me. Good news is that DP has been amazingly supportive.

Poppy - I had a horrible pain just under my ribs on the right side. It was like a throbbing/stinging/burning sensation and the only thing that helped was to either lie down or to raise my right arm above my head and stretch. My lowest rib also felt very bruised and tender to touch. I went to see my GP and was told it was due to my rib cage expanding and irritating the nerves in that region. It lasted from 20 to 30 weeks and I thought it would never go away, but one day when I was 30 weeks pregnant, I woke up and the pain was gone and so far it has never come back.

I am exactly 40 weeks today and feeling resigned to being late. I really hope I don't have to be induced.

Hi waitingtogivebirth - it is reassuring to hear your pain eventually went away. Hope your baby arrives soon .

Midwife has finally found the problem - I have a divarification which means my abdomen muscles have split apart causing me to have chronic pain. I'm so relieved the problem has been found - its the not knowing that is difficult and been told so many different things like gallstones, cracked rib etc was not helping.

It's unusual to get a divarification if this is your first baby and I'm relatively fit and healthy so not sure why I got it.

I also might have a hernia.

I have to lie down all the time and get physio - it won't get any better until I give birth but hopefully the physio will help not get any worse.

The only issue now is that if the physio doesn't help at all and I have to lie down all the time, then I have to wait 15 weeks until I give birth before the pain is likely to ease and 15 weeks is a long time to do nothing at all!! I'm going to go out of my mind with boredom !! Writing this lying down and that is difficult enough but if it wasn't for my laptop I think i would slowly go mad - there is only so much daytime TV I can stand!!!

nuclear · 22/10/2008 10:02

ahh poppy sorry to hear that nothing can be done until after birth - hopefully MN will go some way to keeping ou busy until birth !

are you having to stay off work - have they been understanding?

Poppy5 · 22/10/2008 11:56

yeah luckily my manager has been great as not been able to work at all but not sure how understanding he will be if it lasts ages - just hoping the physio helps me a bit so I can do a little work here and there....

Blood test results just came back as well and I'm also iron deficit. Taking iron syrup - not particularly bad news but wish i could get some good news soon !

only thing cheering me up is feeling my baby kick - seems to be getting a lot more forceful and makes me smile !

nuclear · 22/10/2008 12:50

if you are on extra iron make sure you do all you can to avoid constipation - last thing you want is piles on top of everything else !

Poppy5 · 22/10/2008 13:29

good point, thanks nuclear - i'll make sure i drink loads of water and....actuaaly what else can you do to avoid it?!

is your pain any better?

nuclear · 22/10/2008 18:02

yeah pain comes and goes but not as bad as yours.

went to MW's today and she thought baby was breach (i am 39 weeks) so had to go for a scan but luckily he is the right way round.

phew....

I take fibregel (sp) everyday to try and keep constipationa t bay - I suffered relly badly after the birth of DS and don't want to repeat that !!

Poppy5 · 23/10/2008 11:52

glad baby is right way.

hope your pain eases off.

i'm still waiting for physio appointment .

a bit less anxious about the pain today as resting is probably helping (much as I hate to admit it as always been severly independent and hate just lying around all day).

nuclear · 24/10/2008 10:37

how is your pain today?

Poppy5 · 26/10/2008 12:11

Pain not been great past few days. think the hernia is causing me most of my pain...couldn't sleep last night because of the pain....

good news is that i'm finally seeing a physio this week.

any news on ur baby...?

MrsMattie · 26/10/2008 12:21

Hi Poppy. Sorry to hear you're still in pain Hope the physio can give you some good advice.

Hope all the other pregnant moaners out there are well today

hi Mrs Mattie how are doing - haven't heard form you in a while.

I am still waiting although i had a great night's sleep last night

MrsMattie · 02/11/2008 14:02

Well, nuclear has had her baby

But thought I'd resurrect this thread, as my cold/flu is now in it's 5th week and I have finally given in, been to the local walk-in clinic and come home laden down with anti-biotics .

I feel bad moaning when people have much worse problems, but I'm just so miserable. 36 weeks pregnant, DH going away on business to Middle east for 3 days tomorrow and I am rotten (and my SPd is making it impossible to get a proper night's sleep). Hmmph.

I'm a newbie round here but I'd like to join in with the shameless moaning if that's ok!

My first pregnancy was so much easier than this & I was induced at 37 weeks so I never got to the dreaded overdue stage. This time round I have a feeling I'll go 2 weeks over, despite all the prelabour symptoms I've been having over the past couple of weeks. The BH are getting so uncomfortable & my back is killing me. I know it's selfish, but I want this baby out!

Just to make things worse, me & my daughter are both suffering with a bad cold at the moment, so sleeping is even more of a challenge than it usually is!

I'm sorry you're so miserable MrsMattie.. I hope the antibiotics work their magic & make you feel better.

pluto · 02/11/2008 14:28

Hello, I'd like to add my moans too. I'm 24 weeks. I feel like I've been pregnant forever and want to have the baby NOW as I'm bored with waiting and can't wait to see it and find out the sex.

Rising bump makes me feel like I have to take really deep breaths al the time.

I feel full after 5 mouthfuls of food - not good when have slaved over a hot stove for an hour.

I have the pallor of the dead, despite having had a week's holiday.

I have another 11 weeks of work and have to walk a mile there and back every day, usually in the pouring rain, with a really heavy bag.

Wishing all other moaners a good day

KateQPR · 02/11/2008 16:22

Can i join in with a little moan?

I'm 22 weeks
I've was up all night with my first bout of bad indigestion. Horrible. I can't even make myself burp to ease it and now just feel knackered and grumpy.
I've been on bed rest for 5 weeks since having a cervical stitch put in and it's driving me MAD. I'm on the sofa all day, and will be until i have my next doc appointment in ten days (not that i'm counting...)
Have twinges most days that freak me out. After a m/c last year, and problems with an incompetent cervix, every small pain makes me assume i'm going into labour.
I've become a boring hypochondriac with no social life
my cellulite is coming along nicely thank you.
These twinges are annoying me. Sometimes a snooze seems like the only cure.
I have become both a sweaty betty and hairy mary...
