Nice to "see" so many familiar faces on here.

mrsmacleod - I feel your pain DD1 was 15 days early so I thought I would be early again and told everyone, oh no I was 12 days overdue, surely I am due one on time this time.

I tried everything with DD2 and nothing shifted her I gave up about 8 days overdue and did nothing and she came 4 days later.

fryalot · 10/07/2008 18:49

I have a friend who swears by a nice, rowdy game of football for bringing on labour.

There are about enough of you heavily pg ladies, I'll referee.

fabio! MOVE!!!

mrsmacleod · 10/07/2008 18:57

Thanks sweetkitty, think I will lay off all the "remedies" for the next few days as they're just making me more frustrated and pineapple juice is terrible for my acid reflux.

My mother is being "supportive" by calling every morning and visiting one a week. She has a strong belief in consumer goods being the answer to all problems and so keeps asking me if I need anything from the shops and brings me two loaves of bread every visit(?). I know I sound ungrateful but I wish she would just leave me alone

Nothing will work
But I can make you all feel better by telling you franny will go into labour sunday, butterflymcqueen on tuesday.
And I was right before so you can just call me the oracle.

fryalot · 10/07/2008 19:01

she's right, you know.

And if anyone goes to make wind-chimes without collecting a "leaving the thread" pass from ME, they will be cursed to be pregnant for another nine months.

you'll be a middle of the nighter, unlike franny, who will be early afternoon.
Possibly the same day as franny though.

sweetkitty · 10/07/2008 20:40

mrsmacleod - yuck at the acid reflux the pineapple just made my mouth tingle and gave me the runs. Well my mother hasn't seen me in 6 months despite being an hour away and phoned today to ask me was anything happening?

The worst thing to say to an overdue pregnant woman is "they come when they are ready!" how many times have I heard that?

VS - any predictions for me?

PeachyBAHons · 10/07/2008 21:02

vs did predict me going into labour 8 days over you know.... she had a dream

Poledra · 10/07/2008 21:18

Aaah, I see squonk has arrived - smashing (though I might struggle on a veggie thread...).

As I am not 'allowed' to go overdue, I want to join in here so I can get my moaning done before I have to be induced (due date of 16th). Haven't dared ask dh if he fancies a shag (will not be telling him about the oral sex theory, thanks) as I currently look like Barbapapa. Also my parents are staying with us, which still cramps my style.....

AggiePanther · 10/07/2008 21:19

VS ..am I going to be tomorrow? Please??
Tell us oh wise one.

AggiePanther · 10/07/2008 21:22

Ooh Barbapapa ..I remember him

Squonk - can I be goalie - have spd so can't run but am size of a house so would probably be able to block a few goals

FrannyandZooey · 10/07/2008 21:28

can I be arsed to get dp to come upstairs for some prostaglandins
god I don't know

OP posts:
ButterflyMcQueen · 10/07/2008 21:39

advice please

sweep tomorrow - would you all lay off the natural prostin??

dp said ( helpful as ever)

  1. she will have seen it all before
  2. she will wear gloves

would you?

AggiePanther · 10/07/2008 21:41

Just write him a note explaining what you need and pin it to your nightie - then you can go to sleep

AggiePanther · 10/07/2008 21:43

oops x post - that was for F&Z
BMcQ ...i would prolly be a bit self conscious too ...but then your dp probably is right

FrannyandZooey · 10/07/2008 21:45

I agree with your dp
how much does of the stuff does he make anyway [impressed]

ButterflyMcQueen · 10/07/2008 21:48

no not a great deal!!

hmm might give it a whirl - think its more about battering the cervix than the final deposit anyway

Ecmo · 10/07/2008 21:50

AHHHHHH
I want it out NOW, NOW, NOW
I'm fed up with people phoning and asking
I'm fed up with being HUGE and not being able to get COMFORTABLE in bed

come out NOW baby
oooooh I feel much better now
I'm not pregnant but the frustration was all built up inside of me from 15 years ago!

hunkermunker · 10/07/2008 21:59

:::labour vibes:::

There.

That'll do it.
