Welcoming all those who have received their BFPs for a November bubba - congratulations to all!
I felt terrified as not really TTC #2 but thanks to support from the kind ladies of MN I’ve decided to embrace and be excited.

34, baby #2, probably keeping it a surprise(?!) mum to a 7yo DS, hoping only 1 in there as only 3 weeks today and heft symptoms already

@Sarah268 Do you feel like you're going to have to tell them? My DH wants to tell his at the weekend for mothers day because he just is rubbish with secrets basically. But that means telling our 7YO, which of course in turn means telling the world. I don't feel ready yet, we're far too early, but I can see this being a battle not worth having! Has anyone told other people yet?

Congratulations @ScaredPigeonI experienced a miscarriage over new year. Feeling incredibly grateful to have conceived again so quickly but know how you feel having only recently been experiencing a miscarriage. There’s lots of really supportive women in this chat & we can all help each other through the pregnancy anxieties

Sarah268 · 12/03/2026 17:57

@iwasgonnasay no I absolutely don’t want to tell them. Way too early for me and I want the news to be happy rather than uncertain if that makes sense. Plus my MIL will probably blab anyway so she’s the last person I want to know 🤣
hopefully your partner will respect that it’s a delicate thing right now and you want to wait x

We’ve told one very close friend, she would have guessed sooner rather than later anyway. With our other losses it helped having someone who was aware and would check in when I was struggling. That being said she won’t blab, we’ve no plans to tell anyone else until after first trimester. Only difficulty is that I’ve had to book my first in person midwife appointment on a day I don’t have childcare. So my 3 year old will have to come, hoping he’ll pay no attention if I try and distract with an iPad 😂

LifeByTheSea123 · 12/03/2026 15:28

Has anyone else got barely any symptoms? The only one I have is feeling hot and a raised heart rate. Boobs are not at all sore. If it wasn’t for the positive test I’m not sure I would know.

My boob's are a little sore but barely. I was the same with my first though, practically no symptoms at all. Breezed through the first two trimesters, only started struggling when I started getting big!

Purrrrr · 12/03/2026 19:49

I’ve told my parents so far as they were so supportive through my loss and I’ll need them to watch my toddler for appointments etc. I’m keen to not tell anyone else and just (hopefully) turn up one day with a newborn but my husband is less keen on that idea 😂

Itsabeaut · 13/03/2026 07:35

Hi ladies, congratulations!
I've finally convinced myself after a 3rd positive test that I am in fact still pregnant. This will be my 2nd. Such a different experience so far, like @LifeByTheSea123 I have no nausea.. yet anyway. Last time I'm sure it had kicked in big time by now. Anyway I think I'm 6 weeks today. Nice to meet you all 😊

CGR12 · 13/03/2026 09:06

Morning all,

On the symptoms front, my symptoms are identical to previous pregnancies - on and off nausea all day, smell sensitivity and strong aversions to anything healthy (fruit or veg makes me feel sick). I’ve had a little bit of back pain and a little cramping on and off too.

Hope everyone is okay!

Peachesthecat · 13/03/2026 09:45

Hey all, hop we’re all okay xx
so far so good here just another week to go till the scan. Still waiting on 2nd lot of bloods that were taken in wed. I’m still swinging from thinking all will be fine to then thinking there’s ok way it will be but we will see. I’m feeing sick now and deff bloated out, hopefully a good sign xxx

CrazyKJ · 13/03/2026 10:34

The nausea and morning sickness has definitely hit here too in the last couple of days. Still getting cramping and backache but trying not to read too much into it X

OchreCardigan · 13/03/2026 12:46

Got a 3+ today, so I'm feeling a bit more confident about it!

Congrats! I got mine last night.

I’m 5 weeks and 1 day. I don’t have any sickness and this is making me worried.

Dee51121 · 13/03/2026 14:39

Tentatively joining this thread. I've found out I'm expecting in the last couple of days, haven't told a living soul yet, not even my husband!

I was on the June 2026 thread but that pregnancy was anembryonic unfortunately, despite high hCG levels. It was my second pregnancy, first miscarriage and I didn't realise what a long drawn out process it would be. I feel lucky though that my cycle returned to normal quickly after I had surgical removal.

Feeling nervous this time around in case it doesn't end well again. But also feeling in a much better place than last time so I'm trying to keep positive - not sure there's much logic in it but I feel being mentally positive will give me a better chance of having a successful pregnancy.

Had a quick look through this thread and can see there's some people in a similar situation. Wishing everyone tonnes of luck and also hope you don't struggle too much with symptoms.

iwasgonnasay · 13/03/2026 16:01

Is anyone else suffering with horrific bloat? It's been non stop - to the point my clothes are very uncomfortable and i feel very seasick / starving / full / all at the same time. Cannot focus at work as all I can think about is how naff I feel which is not supportive of my productivity! Not only does it make me feel pretty crap, it's also one reason i'm bloody terrified of someone guessing before we want to tell them. It looks ridiculous, like 4 or 5 months. I feel bigger right now than the day i gave birth to my son! Please help or moan with me 😩

Congratulations! I completely understand your reasoning for feeling nervous. In my experience there’s not a lot anyone can say to take the anxiety away, but there’s a lot of women in the same boat here who can support each other through.

Yes, it gradually gets worse throughout the day and by the evening I look as big as my friend who’s 4 months 😬

I'm 6 weeks today, and I haven't had any sickness so far. Just fatigue, heartburn, and some cramping. Some women don't get sickness at all, I wouldn't worry.

Yep, I could of written the bit about feeling sick but also somehow being hungry and full at the same time lol X

Supercornishstrawberry · 13/03/2026 17:01

Joining 🥰 due date will be on or approx 16th November. I'm 4w 4days. I'm also 36 years old so I feel anxiety about being called "geriatric". Terrified of loss, I have ds1 who is 13, ds2 who is 9 (3 miscarriages between them) and I had a missed miscarriage a few years ago - I didn't even know that was a thing! So the last pregnancy I was checking line progression but now I feel there's just no point doing anything except sit nervously!! I will be having a scan at 7w and will keep you all updated ❤️.

Symptoms - increased sense of smell but it's not too bad.
My belly bloat is unreal. I'm super skinny so I look visibly pregnant which is bonkers with the bloat.
Starving and can't stop eating!
Falling asleep at 8.45pm mid watching something on the TV 🤣.

To add, I've had some awful back pains?! I've never had with other pregnancies. It's woken me up in the last last night and a few days ago and I have to breathe through it. Feels like my tailbone is splitting and like mild back labour (back labour with both my girls). Anyone else had pains?

Isn't geriatric an unfortunate word.. you're not even the oldest here, I'm 37 and have a couple of 40 yr old friends with babies so I wouldnt worry about it. I'm also on/off feeling super bloated and always hungry.

PepperPot88 · 13/03/2026 18:13

Oh bloody hell! I’m 37 and will be 38 by the time baby arrivals- god willing. And it’s my first!! Hahaha

I know, I think it's ridiculous!!! I was 34 when I miscarried but in the midwife appointment they said I was "just a year off" and mentioned about me starting all over again etc. but I'm older and wiser and so much love to give, as I'm sure all of us have 🥰🥰🥰♥️♥️♥️

It really is isn't it!! Absolutely ridiculous really! Xx

ClaireF992 · 14/03/2026 06:01

I’m 37! I think they need to come up with a better word than geriatric. This is my second, my first was at 30.
Im annoyed with myself… I’ve been checking progression on these little cheap strips every 2 days. It’s been getting darker each time. This morning I thought shall I just do one more for peace of mind and now I’m worried because it’s not darkened since 2 days ago. I wish I hadn’t bothered! I don’t know if it’s because it’s already as dark as the line will get or if there’s something wrong…

ScaredPigeon · 14/03/2026 06:14

iwasgonnasay · 12/03/2026 13:42

@ScaredPigeon Firstly, congratulations on your pregnancy - that is the main thing here - you are currently pregnant, and need to take a moment to really be happy about that.

Secondly, i'm truly sorry for your previous loss. I cannot understand it and I hope I never fully do, but the wonderful women on this thread have experienced their own losses and difficulties on their journeys, and no matter what, we are all here to support.

I have 0 reason to fret so far, bar a niggle or too last week, but the more I hear of others loss the more aware i've become of just how possible it is, and it's scary. But the only thing in your control is you, so please don't build up anxiety if you can help it, as it will be what it will be, and the stress cannot help you. Be kind to you, and if you need a vent or reassurance or consolation, head on here or over to our FB

Thank you so so much 🧡
