Welcoming all those who have received their BFPs for a November bubba - congratulations to all!
I felt terrified as not really TTC #2 but thanks to support from the kind ladies of MN I’ve decided to embrace and be excited.

34, baby #2, probably keeping it a surprise(?!) mum to a 7yo DS, hoping only 1 in there as only 3 weeks today and heft symptoms already

@Taysonic I really feel for you and totally admire how open you are being in such a difficult situation.

@Purrrrr welcome! Gosh what an awful awful thing to go through, I’m so sorry about your experience with your little one. Crossing absolutely everything that this time is a very different story x

@LifeByTheSea123 love this! How great for your little girl to have a baby sibling ❤️

PepperPot88 · 09/03/2026 17:08

@Taysonic
You’ve been in my thoughts today. I hope you find some type of peace.

CGR12 · 09/03/2026 17:38

@Taysonic lots of love to you xxx

Sj2505 · 09/03/2026 18:16

DorsetGirl89 · 09/03/2026 18:40

@Sj2505 how are you doing today, have you had any updates or tests? Xx

Hi all. As I've had previous recurrent losses (3 last year) I've been prescribed progesterone in this pregnancy. I started taking it on Friday and boy can I feel the impact. I was absolutely exhausted yesterday - when I chatGPT'd expected symptoms of taking additional progesterone, it's response was 'some women describe it as taking a sleeping tablet they didn't ask for' and that's exactly how it feels.

I'm 4+3 today and will be holding off doing midwifery referral until further along (just in case). I am likely to be offered NHS reassurance scans so need to contact EPAU at some point to get those booked in...

Feeling very nervous and cautious.

I've started progesterone in Saturday and I was exhausted driving home from work today, that explains a lot

LPR16 · 09/03/2026 18:52

Tentatively joining here, I had a miscarriage in December after an early private scan showed issues with the heartbeat. Pregnant again, very unexpectedly. Had a scan on Saturday before progesterone could be issued, measuring 6 weeks. Incredibly nervous & worried constantly

DorsetGirl89 · 09/03/2026 20:50

Welcome @LPR16 I'm so sorry for your loss in December 😞 I'm in a similar boat, only 5 weeks, but it's the furthest I've got after early losses and the waiting is exhausting. You'll find some great support here, so many here have been in a similar boat. Did they find a heartbeat Saturday at 6 weeks or not yet? It's sometimes too early at 6 weeks still. I take it you've now started progesterone and they've booked another scan? For what it's worth, the progesterone wouldn't have helped with the heartbeat issues last time from what I understand, it just helps the environment retain the pregnancy, it doesn't help with any chromosomal issues that caused the pregnancy to end. So not starting it until now won't have in any way affected your chances of this being successful a pregnancy, so try to relax as much as possible, you're doing everything right ❤️🤞🏻✨

LPR16 · 09/03/2026 20:56

Thank you @DorsetGirl89I hope everything is going ok with you this time.

They were able to find a heartbeat on Saturday, I’m 6+5 now. I haven't been offered any other scans with the hospital so have booked a private one for 8 weeks which will be further than we were able to go last time.

Thank you for your advice on progesterone, I didn't know that. I'm trying to be as relaxed as possible whilst wishing the next few weeks to fly by

Arghnotanother · 09/03/2026 21:15

Tentatively dipping my toe in with #4. Have been in hospital with my profoundly disabled toddler for the last three weeks and thought I was late through the stress of 2.5 weeks in PCCU watching her fighting the fight of her life, but it turns out the universe had other plans and so here I am. I have no idea how it will all work out but I’m sure it will all come good in the end.

Oh my goodness @Arghnotanother what a whirlwind! How is your daughter? How are you? And congratulations! 🎉

CrazyKJ · 10/03/2026 13:56

Hope everyone is doing okay today 😊
I finally spoke to the epu today and they want to wait until after 7 weeks to scan, so bit of an anxious wait.
I’ve also started having what I’m thinking is sciatic pain today, goes down right lower side of back into my bottom and my right thigh feels weirdly achy/crampy. Seems a bit early for it though, has anyone else had this? X

DorsetGirl89 · 10/03/2026 16:09

@CrazyKJ yup I have this too, and my hip is popping. I think it's from everything shifting about down there! My next scan is 7 weeks too, on 23rd, when is 7 weeks for you?

5 weeks and the nausea and dizziness is intense! I had to pull over driving earlier to throw up 🫣 anyone else getting intense symptoms already? I'm absolutely knackered. Taking it all as a good sign though.

Thank you! Yea my hip feels weird too as it kind of feels like the cramp radiates round into it. I’m 7 weeks on the 19th, so scan should be a day or 2 after that. Also feeling absolutely knackered and my nausea started up again yesterday, although luckily it’s still just mornings so far. I was bordering on HG with my son’s pregnancy, so really feel for you with the intense nausea and being sick. Definitely seems a good sign though! X

Hey guys, the thread i was on with my first ended up making a Facebook group. We had weekly bump pics followed by baby pics and formed a really lovely little community where people could post for support and advice. Lots of us still use it now and the babies are all 3! Id be happy to set one up if anyone would be interested in joining?

We did this for my October 2023 baby, and we have a what’s app group too that still very active. I wonder if we were in the same one 😂

Hello, I'm nervously joining!
Had a vfl yesterday and today a conclusive yes. Dated for 21st November. This will be baby number 2 if all goes well for us, to add to our currently 11 month old daughter.
Congratulations to everyone, and good luck on the journey x

Ahh I’m blaming baby brain for the fact I clearly read your little one is three and miscalculated 😂

I’d be up for joining a Facebook group too as I find it a bit easier to use than Mumsnet for chatting!

Peachesthecat · 10/03/2026 18:58

Evening all, hope everyone okay. I keep having really positive moments then crashing anxiety again! I have to stop reading mums et (apart from this of course!) as I filling my brain with what if’s and none of them are very nice! In a moment of panic yesterday I took a secret test! Ffs! Was super dark/dye stealer so that calmed me for about 5 minutes 😂 more blood tomorrow but I’m feeling a bit off and sucky now and then so hopefully they come back okay. Just dreading this scan next Friday, seems like ages away and I’m panicking that nothing has grown or the sac is still too bloody small. I’m actually quite a normal, rational person but I’m like a crazy person!! 😘😘 oh and also happy to be in a group 🥰

PepperPot88 · 10/03/2026 19:34

@CSR721
That’s a lovely idea but unfortunately I don’t have Facebook xx

Peanut90 · 10/03/2026 19:52

Hello everyone. First time ever posting on here. Got my first positive last Monday making me about 5 weeks. First time for me so extremely anxious! Lots of coming and going symptoms at the moment. Hope everyone is ok

CGR12 · 10/03/2026 20:00

@CSR721 yes please to a Facebook group!

Peanut90 · 10/03/2026 20:15

@PeaPeaBean Thank you 😊 it's been a rough 7 days already with the shock, symptoms and my job!
