Welcoming all those who have received their BFPs for a November bubba - congratulations to all!
I felt terrified as not really TTC #2 but thanks to support from the kind ladies of MN I’ve decided to embrace and be excited.

34, baby #2, probably keeping it a surprise(?!) mum to a 7yo DS, hoping only 1 in there as only 3 weeks today and heft symptoms already

Are your children’s vaccines up to date?

Great to see people starting to have their scans. Are you all feeling a bit better? I’ve gone from constant nausea so constant hunger! Never ate so much! I had my scan and bloods and results for PAPP-A were 0.48 which seems quite low but I’ve had no contact about it just saw it come up on the badgerapp (didn’t have that last time round!) Anyone else have low?

We had our 12 week scan and all looks good. Measuring at 13 weeks so due date has come forward a little. Anyone else struggling with brushing their teeth? If I try to clean my back teeth, I gag and vomit, even if I don't feel nauseous when I start brushing. I have quite a strong gag reflex even when not pregnant, but definitely worse now.

Yes! I’ve had this with teeth brushing since the sickness and nausea kicked in just before 6 weeks 🙈
I’m 16 weeks now and still got the sickness but feeling a little better and needing my medication much less now, so hoping it continues improving 🤞 also had some moments recently where I can’t decide if I’m feeling gas bubbles or baby flutters, which is exciting!
Hope everyone else is getting on okay! Xx

I'm not vomiting at all (I'm colicky instead), but brushing my teeth gets it really close. Specifically the inner side of the teeth.

So I start by brushing the outer side and the bitting side properly, and than I do whatever I can that day - switching electric tooth brush to gentle mode, using manual brush, worst case using small single manual brush.

Hi, I have 2 older children. I've started telling more people and have had a couple of 'was it planned?' comments. Which is a bit rude. I don't know if it's the way I say it, because I'm kind of weird and nervous about announcing it. Or more likely because a 3rd child is now a crazy big number. Also probably because I find being a mum to two very tiring. Anyway, that's where my thoughts spiral. And I was decidedly done with 2 just over a year ago but from around June started concidering it and we started trying at the beggining of the year.

I am early December due date. Confused as I'd worked out 8th, then midwife worked out 2nd. I'll be 14 weeks when I have my first scan.

No matter how you say it, the response is rude.
Planned or not is irrelevant for everyone but you, and now you are announcing it, it clearly is wanted, and that should be enough for everyone.

Having three is a big commitment, but you'll manage.

As one midwife said, the due date is a date your child will not get born on :)
Wouldn't the 14w scan adjust the datation anyway?

Nobody told you to leave the group. This wasn’t how it happened at all!

MamaKyz · 24/05/2026 10:46

I didn’t even know their was a WhatsApp but of course you’re welcome to stay here x

That sounds like an intense experience, but aren’t you literally bitching about them in this post? Maybe it just wasn’t the right group of people for you.

We still have lots of FTMs who are still in the group so definitely weren’t kicked out or made to feel unwelcome.

You’re complaining about them and talking badly about them. That’s bitching.

Here’s the Cambridge dictionary definition of bitching: “to complain and make unkind remarks about someone or something”.

MamaKyz · 24/05/2026 12:54

Guys, I haven’t been a part of any what’s app group. Can we not bring that over here please? Sounds like it already taken a lot from an important space people need xxxx

I think you should stay and everyone can just move on from whatever happened over in the group. Emotions are high for everyone but no one should be isolated during this time. Stay, let’s everyone put it behind them and move on ❤️

14w 3 days over here. Finally starting to feel better ! I did have a weird two weeks of sickness at the start of the second trimester but starting to be able to enjoy my days and the sun now! So hard to find clothes to wear though 😅

How are you all coping with the sun?!?! ☀️

SoLateToTheParty · 24/05/2026 14:03

The sun is intense!! 15w 1d and staying in the shade, ice cream is doing wonders!! ☀️

I’ve just done a declutter of my wardrobe and took out everything that didn’t fit, it felt blissful but a bit bare! Also seemed to have popped in the last week or so, so anything that fit me before then, now doesn’t!!

MamaKyz · 24/05/2026 15:15

I did the same and sold many of the clothes that might not fit well post baby for a while on Vinted and used that for clothes that fit now and baby clothes! Was sad saying bye to them but also empowering !

I need to go and buy ice cream now! Great idea! Watermelon has been helping me stay hydrated and a paddling pool for putting my legs in 😝

Stay cool mamas !! ☀️

Cutelittlepuppy · 24/05/2026 15:25

I am having issues with clothes. Just ordered a couple of pairs of maternity shorts online. Mine still fit just about but the hemlines have gone odd from the bump.

Sadly although the nausea etc are a little better they are definitely still there.

One good thing I have found out. Seraphina are selling through Next now. I really liked their maternity wear with my first pregnancy but that was through winter.

MamaKyz · 24/05/2026 15:28

Ohh that’s for the recommendation!

I bought these shorts in a panic and absolutely love them and had to order more 😅 https://amzn.eu/d/0dJteaqd

I hope your nausea settles soon ! Must be even harder in this heat 🫠🫠🫠

MamaKyz · 24/05/2026 15:29

I meant “thanks for the recommendation” but it won’t allow me to edit

Thanks I could do with more. What is the sizing like? Trying to get a sense of which I would need as a 14 / 16

MamaKyz · 24/05/2026 16:05

Pretty accurate to the chart! I got XL, pre pregnancy was size 14, and they fit well, can be tightened at the waist band but will definitely last until end of pregnancy. People in the reviews said it was pretty accurate to pre pregnancy sizes ! 😊
