Welcoming all those who have received their BFPs for a November bubba - congratulations to all!
I felt terrified as not really TTC #2 but thanks to support from the kind ladies of MN I’ve decided to embrace and be excited.

34, baby #2, probably keeping it a surprise(?!) mum to a 7yo DS, hoping only 1 in there as only 3 weeks today and heft symptoms already

Just saw you said 14-16, same here and XL is good for me!

Cutelittlepuppy · 24/05/2026 16:36

MamaKyz · 24/05/2026 16:05

Pretty accurate to the chart! I got XL, pre pregnancy was size 14, and they fit well, can be tightened at the waist band but will definitely last until end of pregnancy. People in the reviews said it was pretty accurate to pre pregnancy sizes ! 😊

Thanks. I should have looked further. I didn't see the chart

Buying maternity clothes is a bit of a minefield isn’t it?? I’m starting to find my trousers uncomfortable and I’m sure I’m about to suddenly pop, but I’ve sort of gone from small end of a 12 to big end of a 12 so I decided not to buy anything else until I can safely buy some proper maternity clothes. But is there anything between normal clothes and the ones with the huge over the bump bit??

Cutelittlepuppy · 24/05/2026 21:49

You can tuck that bit in if you don't need it. I did however go for going up a size and getting stretchy trousers for a bit before going into maternity one last time.

CrazyKJ · 25/05/2026 08:33

Having the same issues with shorts/trousers, will be in stretchy leggings/cropped leggings for the foreseeable lol. I dug out my maternity shorts from years ago, but they’re a little too loose for now so maybe in a month or 2

alc123 · 26/05/2026 05:29

Why do no shops sell maternity wear in store anymore?! I tired everywhere. No idea what size to get without trying on! This weird in between stage is hard as mat wear is a bit big still but all old trousers are way too tight!

I know. It's such a pain. I have never found maternity clothes to try on.

MamaKyz · 26/05/2026 22:29

I hope you’re all keeping cool mamas ❤️🥵

iwasgonnasay · 28/05/2026 13:07

Clothes have been a massive issue for me since the beginning as i didn’t really need any in my first pregnancy I just got a second hand pair mat jeans and worse loose tops / jumpers as was a Jan baby
This time I’ve been so bloated since 3 weeks and got bigger and bigger (my appetite is also way bigger this time) and craving carbs and bread I wouldn’t eat so much of really. So I’ve gained a fair bit of weight and bloat wearing mat jeans and bras since about 7 weeks! But I don’t want to spend a fortune on mat clothes (they’re so expensive) I’ll not need and end up selling for peanuts. But also can’t find much second hand local that is really what I need for summer. So basically im squashed into my looser stuff at work and wearing hubby T-shirts and shorts at home feeling frumpy
im hoping to get just some loose / stretchy maxi dresses and tops I can reuse when babies born

Edited

This is how it’s been for me too, first baby though but as with all my family members, I gained weight fast initially and was so bloated and it’s been more gradual no (15 weeks) I also had maternity bras from week 6 😂 but they feel like they’ve stopped growing now! It is so tough to find clothes ! I am living in the shorts I suggested above and baggy shirts !

iwasgonnasay · 28/05/2026 14:53

Glad i'm not alone! I don't know if it's the heat or a combo but this time i've also started having swollen legs and feet which is making it even trickier - especially for work, having to sit at a desk all day and not much time to get up and move about.

This is so relatable 🫣 my feet are legs are also swollen and I work long days sitting at my desk too! It is defo pregnancy plus the heat! I have been using a yoga ball instead of chair which is helping so much and has almost entirely got rid of my lower back pain and I’ve been keeping my shoes off and cool packs on my feet. Standing more often too and trying to get back to daily walks now the fatigue has lifted!

Cutelittlepuppy · 28/05/2026 16:13

The fatigue isn't really lifting for me. I really must sort something about work clothes. I haven't got much I feel comfortable wearing to work next week but I don't know what to get. It will be cooler but how much? Is a dress acceptable? What if it is noticeably a maternity/ BF dress?

alc123 · 03/06/2026 21:44

I usually work from home but was in the office today. A floaty summer dress was all that fits/was suitable… and it was pouring down outside. I looked nuts! I have ordered some maternity tights and leggings from Asda though!

Cutelittlepuppy · 03/06/2026 22:13

I had 2 really formal meeting days at work. I had to wear day 1 a stretchy maternity dress. It is quite work like but made it very clear I'm pregnant. Day 2 a long sleeve light cotton dress on a day pouring with rain and needed safety pins to keep from gaping over my chest. 😞

I am starting to get super anxious about my anomaly scan in 2 weeks. My life has been going so well I feel like I don't deserve a healthy baby on top. I know it's not rational.

It is normal to feel anxious but do watch for these sorts of thoughts becoming overwhelming. Also definitely discuss with your midwife.

Our hormones are taking over our bodies atm and it can do some odd things to you. Be aware of what's happening and seek help even if you aren't fully sure you need it.

Thankyou! I don't think I need professional help at the moment but it's a good idea to keep an eye on it. I know myself it's not rational, I hope thinks are better after the scan itself.

girljulian · 05/06/2026 11:18

We had a 16 week scan (currently 18 weeks) and I feel like it's ages since I've seen my baby! Wish we could see them every week.

Funny, I have the same thoughts and feelings because my life is not going very well. I feel like, well of course something's bound to go wrong with this too. Isn't it odd that we can't sometimes just let ourselves enjoy the good for whatever reason? In 10 years time I hope we're both able to look back on those thoughts with mild amusement with happy children running around and in a good place x

Yes praying for that for both of us!

I've started feeling the baby move this week so trying to focus on that, and repeating over and over to myself "anxiety is not intuition".

Anyone dealing with leg cramps at night. I completely forgot about these from my first pregnancy! Had to wake my husband up the other night to stretch out my calf, I couldn't move!!
