Welcoming all those who have received their BFPs for a November bubba - congratulations to all!
I felt terrified as not really TTC #2 but thanks to support from the kind ladies of MN I’ve decided to embrace and be excited.

34, baby #2, probably keeping it a surprise(?!) mum to a 7yo DS, hoping only 1 in there as only 3 weeks today and heft symptoms already

I’m 9 weeks now, due around 7th Nov. Every little twinge still sends me into a panic. Not sure that’s going to change until there’s a bub in my arms though lol. Otherwise I’m just nauseous and knackered 🤣 How are you finding things so far? X

You’re so right - it’s impossible to fully relax until baby is safely in your arms. But I’m sure getting past 12 week and 20 week scans will help a bit. I’m feeling very sick and like I have zero appetite this time so really having to make an effort to eat at all. Not actually being sick though which I suppose is a bonus!

Hi @CosmicLove, I’m 9+3 today.

Sending solidarity on the excruciating nipples front. It’s really hurting me to breastfeed too - it was the same the last time too. We’re also cosleeping too!

Oh yes, the mum guilt hits from all angles!

Haha! It’s terrible isnt it! She was biting me last night as well 😬

quietblossom · 10/04/2026 17:26

Hi! A bit late joining too- due 2nd November, expecting twins (IVF pregnancy but a single embryo transfer that split, which was a surprise !). I also have a 7 year old and live in North London.

A bit late joining, am 6 weeks so due end of Nov. Had to have an early scan this morning because I'm on anticoagulants, and we found out it's twins! I'm completely shocked. We have a 2 year old already so is number 2 and 3. Could see 2 heartbeats, am happy everything was OK but was not prepared for that news! DH and I just sat there and laughed.

Hello fellow twin mum to be- I am a few weeks ahead of you, also found out at 6 weeks and it was a shock. The exhaustion and nausea with twins is no joke, hope you’re ok. (If you also like me are panicking about logitiscs, which buggy, nursery fees, then you’re not alone!)

I had IVF too but didn’t know it could split 😂 that’s a new fear I didn’t have before!!!

I've been thinking about cars as we'll need to change our Ford fiesta, then decided what's the point we're not going to be going anywhere! Then I was worrying about would I fit in our walk in shower, and how will I shave my legs?! Obviously you've been thinking more practically!!

EmeraldSlippers · 11/04/2026 18:33

Tentatively joining the here... I'm 7+5 with my second child, due Nov 23rd. Tentative because I've had practically zero symptoms except some soreness in my boobs. I had nausea, extreme fatigue, sciatica and very enhanced smell at this stage with my first. I know I shouldn't complain when so many people are laid flat by the first trimester, but I somehow feel that it's 'wrong' to be feeling so little and am gearing myself up for bad news at a scan.

In another topic, has anyone else noticed a difference in their older child(ren)'s behaviour since they've been pregnant? My little girl is 6 and has become SO clingy and physical with me in the last month. Hangs on me, throws herself all over me, generally touches and mauls me whenever she can!! She's always been a tactile child but this is another level. Maybe she can smell the difference or something?!

I have the opposite experience! Barely any symptoms with my first (a boy) and loads of fatigue and nausea this time. Maybe we’re both just experiencing what it’s like to carry a baby of another sex!

Please help - I’ve had a scan at week 6 with slow heartbeat - had a rescan the other week suppose to be 7:5 but was told baby is measuring at 6.4 how ever as to told anything about heartbeat nd I am naively hoping they’re wrong - was given options for pic surgery et - I took the natural way in case it’s ok ? Am I being hopeful for nothing?

ps I have had mild cramps normal at this stage for weeks but no bleeding just more wet if anything tmi so sorry xx

Congratulations by the way! My nausea hasn't been too bad, a bit up and down, maybe a little worse than first time round but manageable. Though DH made dinner tonight and i just couldn't face eating it. Have you started to show yet? I'm a bit worried i will start showing before 12 week scan. I don't want to lie to people if they ask, but also don't want to say too much before scan.

Mountainview8 · 12/04/2026 13:28

I'm 7+2 and joining now I've had a scan where everything looked well, after previous miscarriages I wanted the reassurance. Due 27th Nov, I'm 40 and have a 22 month old. As with my first pregnancy I've had minimal symptoms just some slight nausea but the main symptom is bloating, I look way more pregnant than I am. On my scan report it says they couldn't check my right ovary due to bowel gas 😂

Mountainview8 · 12/04/2026 13:30

MamaKyz · 07/04/2026 16:04

Hi everyone, I am 8 weeks but had my scan last week and they said it baby was measuring as if about 7 weeks. Does that mean I should start counting from 7 weeks? It was so lovely to see our babies little heart beat 🥰❤️🤰🏽

So pleased your scan went well. Do you know when you ovulated? You could have ovulated later than you think. They're so small at this stage the measurements could be slightly out, it will be more accurate at the 12 week scan.

Sarah268 · 13/04/2026 11:22

Hi everyone, I haven't posted for ages as life has been super hectic! I'm now 11 weeks and symptoms have subsided a lot thank god (sorry for anyone in the thick of it.. hopefully things will improve soon!). Feels like I'm showing SO much quicker this time round. Already got a round tummy!

We had an early scan at 8+5 which was good but I've now got the anxiety back again and my 12 week is still 10 days away which feels like forever!

@EmeraldSlippers totally relate about the other child thing. My little boy is only 15 months so I'm not sure if it's just his age but he is so unbelievably clingy to me in the last few weeks! I'm already worried about how a new baby could upset him to be honest.

@ivy118 sorry to hear that. Sounds really stressful. I think honestly at this stage it's just a case of seeing how things progress. Crossing my fingers for you that everything is ok x

Howeverfar · 14/04/2026 08:03

My Baby is measuring 6 days behind on every scan. I'm 11 weeks but have has 3 scans to check heart rate due to some extra risks (1 private, 2 NHS) at 8, 9 and 11 weeks. Heart rate is fine, thank God! Though in every one the baby is 6 days behind where it should be. I ovulated CD16, which would explain 2 of the days, but then I tested positive 11DPO. So I couldn't have implanted very late. None of the medical staff are very concerned, but I feel like that's because they can't really tell at this stage, but it could be a problem?

LPR16 · 14/04/2026 20:39

@ivy118I’m just catching up on messages now. Have they told you that the baby doesn’t have a heartbeat on the second scan? I couldn’t work out from your message. If there’s still a heartbeat, everything could be fine. You could have ovulated later which is why at the first scan heart rate was slow as babies heart may have only just started beating. Got my fingers and toes crossed you. Take care x

LPR16 · 14/04/2026 20:41

@HoweverfarI’m 11 weeks and had three scans too (previous miscarriage and quite anxious) in my most recent scan I went backwards by 5 days which I thought was odd. Apparently the closer to 12 weeks you get the more accurate they can be. I wouldn’t worry though, if there’s been a heartbeat each time, it may just be that baby is on the smaller side right now, but still growing ok. When’s your 12 week scan? X

MamaKyz · 14/04/2026 20:52

Is anyone else exhausted at all times ? 😅 I feel so so lazy. I nap for hours and still feel exhausted!

Howeverfar · 14/04/2026 21:12

@LPR16 it's next week. Hopefully all is okay. I did post a thread, and everyone seems to think I'm over thinking it and it's too early. Hope your pregnancy is going well.x

LPR16 · 14/04/2026 21:48

@Howeverfarits easy to be worried at this early stage thought and completely understandable. Early scans have been ok so far, but I’ve little symptoms so quite anxious. My scan is Thursday so fingers crossed x

FourGreenElephants · 16/04/2026 12:28

Scan today, measures 7+3 which is just one day of my expectations, heart action ok.

Any tips for my poor guts? I'm bloated and gassy. A lot.

Howeverfar · 16/04/2026 14:08

@LPR16 hope scan goes well today!

Thank you! All went ok, I’m a little further than I thought now due 29th Oct but they never come on time do they ☺️ when’s your dating scan?

Panamanian · 16/04/2026 15:13

Does anyone have any thoughts on early scans? I’m 8+5 today and just had my booking in appt. Midwife booked me in for an early scan because I said I was worried after two previous miscarriages. I’ve only ever had bad news at early scans (with my successful pregnancies I’ve always waited until 12 weeks). My head says that the scan just tells me what is already true but I’m also fearful about even going into the EPU. At the moment I’m obsessively checking every time I wipe and second guessing every symptom. I can’t decide if the scan will be good for me or if it’s just too scary. Anyone had positive experiences of early scans or have any advice?!

LPR16 · 16/04/2026 15:23

Hey @Panamanianfirstly I’m really sorry to hear about your previous losses. It’s good to hear that your midwife is acknowledging your anxiety about this pregnancy and booking an earlier scan.
Having also experienced loss, I know how you feel about a scan. You want the reassurance but you also don’t want to hear the bad news. I had three scans mix of NHS and privately before 12 weeks because I was so worried. The stats helped me though, I read if there was a heartbeat after 9 weeks the miscarriage risk reduces to 0.5% which really settled my anxiety afterwards.
I’d say make sure you take someone with you and tell the sonographer you’ve had previous losses and can they tell you as soon as they are able to confirm a sight of the heartbeat. I’ll keep my fingers crossed for you

Me!! Just joining this thread now as I was looking for somewhere to complain about how ridiculously tired I am even when I've done nothing...

I'm 11w1 today, due 4 November.
