Welcoming all those who have received their BFPs for a November bubba - congratulations to all!
I felt terrified as not really TTC #2 but thanks to support from the kind ladies of MN I’ve decided to embrace and be excited.

34, baby #2, probably keeping it a surprise(?!) mum to a 7yo DS, hoping only 1 in there as only 3 weeks today and heft symptoms already

I’m so glad I found this thread. I found out a week or so ago and currently 5 weeks and 4 days.

i also have a 2 year old little boy and had a missed miscarriage in 2025 which I lost at 7 weeks but didn’t find out about until the 12 weeks scan so being very tentative about getting too excited this time.

Keeping my fingers crossed for us all

Same! Currently lying in bed when I should be working. I had my first DD 5 years ago but I don’t remember it being this bad! Feel so hungry but don’t want anything. Hoping you feel better soon too!

100%
1st pregnancy = 0 symptoms = looked 6 months the day he was born
2nd pregnancy = walking text book. Nausea all day in waves on off between dog tiredness aching from head to foot, huge boobs which are unbearably sore, constantly drifting between starving and sick. Crave one thing, eat it, then it's ruined forever and i can't bear the thought of it let alone stomach it. The list of food I can manage is getting smaller and my stomach is bloated to the point i already look 8 months not 8 weeks.
HELP 😮

Yeah, so the first smell I couldn't stomach was... leftover homemade curry (no rice).

DP didn't complain that he heated it for me after I asked him to do it, just ate the whole thing and handed me a natural yoghurt... sad.

CrazyKJ · 02/04/2026 10:45

God the bloat is awful by evening isn’t it. Between that and the sickness/nausea the thought of eating almost anything turns my stomach 😣
I’m still getting lots of cramps and backache which sends my anxiety through the roof, but trying to think positively since my symptoms are so strong now. Saw the midwife in person for the first time yesterday and she’s recommended the drs prescribe some anti sickness meds. So hoping they’ll make a difference 🤞

Hows everyone else feeling? X

ttcnumero2 · 02/04/2026 18:54

@CrazyKJfeeling pretty rubbish. Still exhausted and nauseous. The Cariban has taken the edge off the sickness, no more puking but still feel sick about 60% of the time. I thought they were more effective last pregnancy but maybe I just need to let them build up in my system a bit more. Had a private scan yday due to some spotting and got great reassurance, lovely heartbeat and measuring almost bang on my dates!! Also was able to see a small SCH which was causing the spotting so that was great.

CosmicLove · 04/04/2026 08:53

Hi everyone 👋 can I join? Congratulations on all your BFPs ❤️ this is my fourth pregnancy. I have two girls aged 3 & 13 months, and I had a MMC twin pregnancy between them in April 2024. Went for scan at 8 weeks, was measuring 6 weeks, had to wait 2 weeks for rescan to see if they had developed but sadly started bleeding just a couple of days before my rescan at almost 10 weeks. I ended up having to have an emergency surgical evacuation under general anaesthetic and a blood transfusion so the whole thing was quite traumatic. We were lucky enough to fall pregnant with our second daughter after one cycle which we are so thankful for, but the whole experience gave me wicked anxiety throughout that whole pregnancy.

And now the anxiety has started again since my BFP. I got my first line on 12th March and have been convinced it would end badly. Just trying to prepare myself for bad news I suppose. I went for a scan on Thursday though and all was okay 🙏 measuring bang on and a little heartbeat. It’s relaxed me somewhat but I still feel worried. I have to try and trust my body to do its thing though as it’s out of my control.

How is everyone feeling? Anyone else still BF toddlers? Looking forward to chatting to you all and going through this exciting journey together ✨

Sorry to hear the nausea is still there even with the medication. Hopefully you’re right and it will get less with more medication in your system 🤞That’s great news that your scan looked good, and they found a cause of the spotting!

I’m hoping to get my anti sickness medication today, feel so guilty being physically unable to do as much with my 3 year old at the moment X

Hi @CosmicLove, sorry to hear you’re having an anxious time. Many of us on this thread have also had losses, so completely understand the anxiety you’re feeling.
That sounds really good that your scan is looking as it should with a lovely little heartbeat ❤️ X

CGR12 · 04/04/2026 19:39

@CosmicLove congratulations on your bfp but I am sorry to hear about your experiences and pregnancy anxiety. Sending you love!

I have a 4 year old and a 2 year old. Still breastfeeding my 2 year old before bed and in the night… I breastfed my eldest throughout my youngest’s pregnancy and still gave my eldest a bedtime feed (not in the night though) until she was almost 3.

I really want to night wean my two year old now but I’ll happily still give her a feed before bed. But I just can’t find the energy for the emotions and tantrums of night weaning currently. Are you planning on continuing or stopping?

Panamanian · 04/04/2026 20:28

Hi, I’ve been trying to decide which thread to join as I seem to fit a number of categories: currently 7 weeks with baby number 5 and am about to turn 42. My others are between 9 and 2 and I’m still BF my 2 year old before bed. I’ve tended to stop around the 20 week mark with my others. I had a miscarriage at 8 weeks in November so I’m definitely more anxious this time around and will probably go for an early scan once the children are back to school as I can’t face waiting until 12 weeks.

CosmicLove · 05/04/2026 08:55

Thank you @CrazyKJ - I’m so sorry to read you’ve experienced loss as well. It’s so sad how many women have gone through it. I’m
always grateful to find someone who genuinely understands the anxiety though 🙏 how far along are you now? How are you feeling? Xx

CosmicLove · 05/04/2026 09:17

@CGR12thank you ❤️ how far along are you now? I feel at this moment that I’d like to stop BF quite soon but I feel bad about that. I BF my eldest till she was 21 months, when I was about 16 weeks pregnant with my youngest. I stopped because I knew I didn’t want to tandem feed and I wanted there to be a decent gap between stopping and the baby being born so she wouldn’t feel like she was being replaced. Plus my nipples became so sore, it seemed like the perfect time to stop!

This time round my nipples are excruciating already and I’m really not enjoying it at the moment. We co sleep a lot overnight so it’s more comfort sucking and she’s a terrible sleeper so there’s a lot of it. But I know I’ll need to change that and the co sleeping before a new baby arrives as that wouldn’t be sustainable. I’ve got 18 months in my head as a good time to fully wean and do some gentle sleep training but that’s September, and November will then be shortly upon us! Maybe second trimester would be better when I’ve still got a bit of energy. It’s so hard balancing your own needs and the needs of your child. And mum guilt is REAL - I think we feel guilty whatever we do! 😓

CosmicLove · 05/04/2026 09:24

@Panamanian congratulations and wow - number 5! Hats off to you 🙌 I’m the youngest of 5 and it was a wonderful upbringing. A constantly busy household full of rabble and love. I look back on it really fondly. So sorry for your loss last year. It really changes the way you can go through a pregnancy once you experience loss, or at least it did for me. Constantly fearing and trying to prepare myself for the worst. A scan for some peace of a mind is a great idea as these early weeks always drag, especially when you’re worried xx

Nakia4 · 05/04/2026 10:00

Congratulations everyone on your pregnancies ❤️ I am due around November 5th but haven't had a scan yet so feeling pretty unsure. Am gonna try to catch up on the messages to read how you all are doing x

I’m 9 weeks now, due around 7th Nov. Every little twinge still sends me into a panic. Not sure that’s going to change until there’s a bub in my arms though lol. Otherwise I’m just nauseous and knackered 🤣 How are you finding things so far? X

lhun3 · 05/04/2026 15:50

There is a what’s app group if anyone wants to join who is due in November ☺️

Howeverfar · 05/04/2026 16:35

Joining. Due Nov 5th based on last period. Though a bit worried because I had an ultrasound and was referred to early pregnancy unit due to my "heart shaped" uterus. Just praying all is okay.

Thank you so much for your lovely reply. I’ve got it in my head that everyone is really negative towards large families so never expect people to say anything nice! It’s so good to hear that your experience growing up was positive - our home is noisy and always busy but I hope full of love!

Yes the bloating! I don’t remember this last time. I need to go buy some new clothes already 😅
The nausea has written me off this weekend, so hungry but feeling so sick!

CGR12 · 05/04/2026 20:06

Hi @CosmicLove, I’m 9+3 today.

Sending solidarity on the excruciating nipples front. It’s really hurting me to breastfeed too - it was the same the last time too. We’re also cosleeping too!

Oh yes, the mum guilt hits from all angles!

BurningOutt · 05/04/2026 20:10

I haven’t posted for a while - think I am 7 weeks tomorrow - I’ve been absolutely floored with sickness. No vomiting just constant all day nausea. The only thing that helps is eating so feel like I’ve put on a ton of weight already and just feel disgusting and horrible. Have had no energy for the kids and feel like this baby is going to ruin their lives (they are 7 and 5, will be 8.5 and just 6 when baby is due). If anyone has any positive stories of this age gap and/or of when the sickness passes I would hugely appreciate it as right now feeling like I’ve made a terrible mistake.

Ggohome · 06/04/2026 11:18

Hi everyone. It's my first pregnancy and I'm really struggling already. I was being sick 20+ times a day, GP put me into cyclizine 3 times a day, then a few days later they admitted me into hospital as I was so dehydrated. After a couple of IV bags I felt human again. They also gave me IV ondansetron and tablets to take orally. I'm worried about taking these so early in the pregnancy given the (small) risks. I'm still feeling nauseous constantly but only sick 4/5 times a day but quite violently.
I'm trying to sleep as much as possible but feeling low, I have missed out so much this Easter with family and nephews etc. I'm only just coming to 8 weeks and I'm so worried about what the next few months are going to look like.

AlwaysPurple · 07/04/2026 15:07

A bit late joining, am 6 weeks so due end of Nov. Had to have an early scan this morning because I'm on anticoagulants, and we found out it's twins! I'm completely shocked. We have a 2 year old already so is number 2 and 3. Could see 2 heartbeats, am happy everything was OK but was not prepared for that news! DH and I just sat there and laughed.

Hi everyone, I am 8 weeks but had my scan last week and they said it baby was measuring as if about 7 weeks. Does that mean I should start counting from 7 weeks? It was so lovely to see our babies little heart beat 🥰❤️🤰🏽
