Welcoming all those who have received their BFPs for a November bubba - congratulations to all!
I felt terrified as not really TTC #2 but thanks to support from the kind ladies of MN I’ve decided to embrace and be excited.

34, baby #2, probably keeping it a surprise(?!) mum to a 7yo DS, hoping only 1 in there as only 3 weeks today and heft symptoms already

I ended up joining the facebook group on the laptop as I couldn't get it to work on my phone. Worked on the laptop no problem.

Hey its this group here Ive changed the settings so it should come up when you search for it and then you can request to join!

ultrasound booked at the EPAU for 10am Wednesday to check where the hell my IUD is at and make sure it's a viable pregnancy. It's going to be so weird having to go on my own. Wish DP was home so he could support. Next month is unusually busy for him too (mostly work trips) so no idea if he will even be able to attend the dating scan.

Ahh it is called november 2026 babies 😬, I can't join until the cat is out the bag and that will be aaaages (20+ weeks)! I don't think you can just change the name of a group once it is created? (it might not matter to other's that much but I plan to keep it on the downlow for as long as possible, I have people from work etc on fb).

DorsetGirl89 · 23/03/2026 18:09

Oh wow @BrimfulofSacha you have an IUD in there! What do they do when that happens?! 🫣 Wow, this one was determined 😂 best of luck at your scan, I'm sure it must feel isolating going alone, but it sounds like some time away might actually be good whilst he gets his head around things? Sometimes men f it really hard to know what to do or say in the moment but with time and reflection they can get their heads together.

DorsetGirl89 · 23/03/2026 18:12

All went well at my 7 weeks scan this morning, I saw a heartbeat, it was really strong and dating was exactly as expected. I cried the second I saw it 🥹😭 we got an adorable printout of the little bean. I'm feeling incredibly blessed today and a little overwhelmed. It's starting to feel real now.

ttcnumero2 · 23/03/2026 18:15

6+3 and the sickness came with a bang this morning. Got my Cariban prescription this afternoon so hoping that works for me again this time round! Even worse with a toddler this time!

i did check this when I joined, but it’s a private group so no one can see who’s in it

Thank you for your continued support. This early stage is so weird, so many questions and your real life friends are totally unaware.

so the check for threads and see if they can remove safely. They can’t find my threads so either it’s managed to exit my body or it’s lost somewhere inside. Normally if it’s inside they’ll keep it there and monitor. (Have seen a baby born clutching an IUD in its hand). The main concern is the IUD increases the chance of an ectopic pregnancy. So they need to locate the fetus. Once the fetus has implanted the IUD shouldn’t cause a problem. That’s all I know so far. But can clue you up more on Wednesday hopefully

Ok fantastic that all sounds really promising and that they have a plan and are keeping a close eye on you. The absolute irony of a baby being born holding an IUD is hilarious 🤣 what a story to tell them when they're older, you know that one is gonna be a fighter! Remind me how many DPO you are now?

30dpo I think. So 6+3

Isn't it searchable now though? I really don't know how it works with groups, I'm too paranoid to find out! I'll try and join further down the line I think, if I can still find this thread. I imagine the thread will die once people move to fb.

Omg! I didn’t know you could see a heartbeat at 7 weeks 🫣

hopeful4us · 23/03/2026 21:04

Hi all,

I'm in the October 2026 group. We created a WhatsApp group and had a person joining who has since gone on to say some awful things (incl. hoping that another member would lose their pregnancy). You might be safe with a FB group @CGR12 but wanted to give you a heads up. We don't know what this person's MN handle was but they called themselves Miranda, said it was their first pregnancy and they lived nr Belsize Park.

Wishing you all well with your pregnancies 💖

Absolutely! It was so strong. I had mine at EPU as I've been having regular scans after an early bleed, but you can get an early viability scan from 6 weeks for about £80 at private clinics everywhere and they often see the heartbeat. ❤️

Im unsure if i should wait until my NHS scan with the IVF clinic, I’ll be 7 weeks as I hit 6 weeks during Easter weekend (typical!)

That is just terrible! Always some weirdos out there that want to ruin things! I was actually going to suggest a whatsapp group especially for those who didn’t feel comfortable being in a facebook group yet. The last whatsapp group I was in was amazing and I honestly consider all the ladies my friends!

hopeful4us · 23/03/2026 21:25

@doofdoof we've now made the group invite only and implemented a fun video identification. I'm so pleased we've continued as it's already nice having other people to chat babies with!

Oh yeah then definitely wait, it's only a few more days and 7 weeks is going to be a much more satisfying scan than 6 weeks anyway, if you were waiting for the 12 weeks I'd say book a private one, but 7 weeks is a really good time to get some good info. 6 weeks is sometimes borderline too early to see anything much in some people, other than it being in the correct place, so unless you have bleeding, pain or are worried about ectopic, a 7 week scan is great. X

Thanks for this, I couldn't agree more! I'm sure whoever started the group is absolutely lovely and fine, but the thought of instantly sharing personal information like full names and numbers with everyone from a forum seems absolutely bonkers to me 🫣 each to their own I guess! I would suggest people are careful though, you have no idea what weirdos are out there and create false accounts etc. 😬 especially when you hear stories about weird people that pose as women to get access to these kind of groups for all sorts of gross reasons.

Hi. First time here.
It's a bit surreal - seeing the positive test (after a year), but knowing it can still go both ways.

And we have a holiday planned in two weeks (Spanish island so I suppose fine to go), not sure whether to try to squeeze dr before, but it would have to be 5+3 max, or whether it's ok to wait for 7+1 or more.

GodzillaParmo · 24/03/2026 06:37

Hello! I'm due 18th November, all being well. Feels completely surreal to be on this side of the fence after so long!

@FourGreenElephants my first scan is also delayed because I'm on holiday. I'll be 8 weeks when I finally go in. For me, I'd rather wait and see more on the scan than go in early... But the waiting is still hard!

You don't usually see your gp in pregnancy unless you have other pre-existinting conditions/have something unrelated. You generally just self refer to the midwife in most areas now and your first appointment isn't usually until around 10 weeks (unless you have problems pain/bleeding in which case you can self refer to the early pregnancy unit). My initial appointment (booking appointment) is booked for nearly 12 weeks due to them being really busy, I'm not very happy about it as it will push my 12 week scan back too.

Do your self referral before you go away and then it is booked for when you get back.

Hi, @hopeful4us , just wanted to check your message warning about the Facebook group and safety of members etc was to me? As I am a little confused 😂Have you got my username mixed up with someone else or have I said something which has worried you? Thank you!
